Pros One of the main issues we have had with other software was the confusion or difficulty our attendees had longing. But that wasn't a problem with Socio, all our users logged in with ease and had a great experience. Cons I can't think of anything specific. Of course there is always room for updates and I look forward to seeing what the Socio team comes up with. Cons The hardest thing about using Webex is finding clients that all utilize the application and not something like Teams, Meet, or Zoom. It has even done well during times when my Internet service is a little slow. There are plenty of features and helpful options for both the presenters and audience. It is generally quite intuitive to use. Cons Overall, I find no cons with this software. However, I feel that it is missing one minor feature that can be quite helpful. February 22, 2019 4.0 Pros Setting up meetings (either scheduled or ad-hoc) is quite easy and the features provided (such as muting all calls automatically) are nice. Cons Sometimes the features don't work as expected. For example, if more attendees join a meeting after the host has muted all lines, it seems that the new callers' lines are not muted automatically. This sometimes leads to multiple minutes of "Can everybody please mute their lines?" or something like that. It's very disruptive when the call has tens or even hundreds of attendees. A lot of my meetings are held with individuals working elsewhere so this is a great tool to have. Cons At times when trying to dial into meetings, I get an error saying that the meeting number is not valid. When I get this message, sometimes I can get into the meeting by reconnecting while other times I can't. Makes it frustrating at times not knowing if it will function correctly or not. I find it simple and easy to use and the functionality is perfect for what we need on our team. I like the options to connect via audio in various fashions and the screen sharing/video sharing options are a life savers for our job . I've never really had any issues with the software and hope to continue using it. Cons No complaints about WebEx other than a day we had a hard time connecting, not sure if it was our local server or a WebEx issue - however it was resolved within 24 hours. Because you can create a webex meeting from outlook interface. It is an advantage for time saving. Pros The efficient annotation tools are so practical to explain & clarify to the huge teams. The "mute all" hosting option is so useful to manage large scaled teams during the meeting. Cons Sometimes webex is so slow with Java. It could be problematic to re-attend the meeting especially when I am the host. It is an unlovely usage case for multi-national teams. Other problematic point is "Ask to control" option. In new version it's hidden somewhere and you couldn't find easily. Pros Webex meetings are very convenient when you want to schedule a meeting with your team who are in different territories and can not therefore physically attend the meeting in a meeting room. Meeting room in Cisco webex will allow you to share video, audio and even screen sharing of your personal computer. It works in multiple platforms such as Windows, Mac and even Linux. All professionals can integrate their meeting inputs for a video conferencing meeting through Cisco Webex. Cons Sometimes browser versions and upgrade of Cisco webex does not go hand in hand. Suddenly screensharing might not function right after a update. They quickly arrange fixing to cater all users of Mac, Windows and Linux. It also allows you to choose whether to share the whole screen or a specific application, in this way privacy is ensured. The moment you need to start doing screen share and other things, that is where Webex drops the ball. Too many issues to deal with. We have brought this to Cisco but they can only troubleshoot when the problem happens (which is normally when we are in a meeting). We cannot stop a meeting to call cisco to troubleshoot. And when we run some test with them, we cannot reproduce the errors. Pros When it works (which is 80-90% of the times), it is very solid. We do audio and video conference with Webex with our different offices, and we don't normally have issues with the quality. Cons Problems. 1) Sometimes the webex plugin for browsers do not work well. Specially when you need to present. Firefox plugin is broken. 2) Sometimes, you dial and seem to get through the meeting, but the meeting shows as not started, so as a meeting owner you need to hang up and dial back to try to restart the meeting. 3) Sometimes, you want to login to your Webex portal to make a meeting from there, and it will not log you in, but won't show any error. 4) Sometimes, when sharing screen and you want to pass control to another participant, they will be able to move the mouse, but they will be unable to click or type on your screen. Cons I have not experienced any negatives with this software, if you have poor internet connection it can effect connectivity but this is not an issue with this software. The interface is friendly, we can host meetings relatively quickly with large number of users. You can host unlimited number of meetings and store the recordings on the server. Cons During pandemic I've started using other software and I could see that while WebEx does the job, others have moved forward with ease of use, features and functionality. One thing that I struggled with WebEx of late is the loading time and occasional crashes. It has become less reliable and I started switching to other tools for critical meetings. File transfer, recordings & whiteboard I'm using mainly when doing troubleshooting works. This has noise cancellation feature which others don't have.
