Cons Unfortunately in the Last couple of years, i don't feel the user experience is great. The features offered are fine and they work as needed, but there seems to be no particular advantage to using Webex over other programs in my opinion. Pros Webex works well for what it is - a web conferencing service. It does not particularly stand out or have an advantage compared to other conferencing services on the market. You can call, you can share screens, and you can chat without any issues - which are all the major needs I need from a conferencing software. Cons Webex can be harder to navigate compared to other services like Zoom and does not offer integration into workplace system like Microsoft Teams. I believe it is also about the same price or more expensive than these other offerings. The UI is not incredibly intuitive and it can be hard to find certain options. Both have similar functionality, but the free version restricts the number of participants in the meeting. To be able to use this software, I had to take a tutorial to figure it out. In one of my first meetings as host, I needed to share the screen and wasn't able to make it work. It was an awkward situation and one I was always afraid would repeat. If someone else wants to present, you have to go through menus to find the command to pass the screen sharing ability to them. I appreciate the idea of having choices in the menus, but the process is unnecessarily time-consuming and complicated. I was actually dissatisfied enough with my WebEx experience that I avoided using it, moving meetings for some time to an audio conference call service that allowed me to easily record. After I discovered Zoom, I never went back to WebEx. Pros WebEx is an online meeting platform that does the trick, but is far down the list of my preferred meeting software. As a software engineer I have found this as really helpful in our day to day meetings. Features that amazes me are 1. Breakout sessions - creates space for few people in the group similarly many spaces can be created 2. Emojis - good for being expressive 3. The whiteboard 4. It allows us to tile up the small screens like participants, chat, screen in a way we like it to be. Cons UI is quite complex some features are like hidden for us in desktop and mobile version both. It becomes unstable for large number of people joining the meeting though it has space for them. Thanks to this program we have no difficulty to reach them. Pros I have been using this program for last about 5 years. We are working with people who located all around the world regarding our business. We can communicate with anyone in anytime thanks to this program. Screen sharing is the most favourite feature for me. I can show anything easily and quickly to participants in meeting. Cons There is a beep noise when someone joins the meeting. It allows us to have bigger meetings with a larger number of participants than we are allowed to have in Slack. We host weekly educational webinars to share team knowledge and it has worked wonderfully for this. Pros We personally use Webex for company wide meetings and team-specific educational webinars. In this work from home era, it gives us the opportunity to meet and connect with face to face interactions while also allowing for easy information sharing due to the screen sharing. It's nice being able to see people's faces as we discuss important topics and build that team wide connection as we rarely get the chance nowadays. Cons Overall no real complaints. You can get lost in the levels of an event in the application builder as it gets as complicated as you would expect when making virtual events. Pros The support team at Socio is one of the best I've worked with by a mile. They know their product inside and out; if you're doing something atypical to accommodate some wild requests, then this team can make it happen. My company has used Socio for in-person event support with mobile apps, Hybrid streaming, and entire virtual conferences. Easy to use for any user, and it comes with a phenomenal support team to make sure things go smoothly. Reporting features are great and they seem to be releasing new features or products constantly, simply put- it makes me look good when we put on events. I would like the price to be a bit more reasonable for the service especially when there are so many other alternatives. Cisco is a leader in technology, but I feel Webex does some users (specifically small NPOs) a disservice. Pros The product is easy to use and many of our users are familiar with the software. The best thing about Webex is that there is only one button to click so joining a meeting appears effortless. Most video meetings are quite clear and audio is easy to decipher without much background noise. Cons The only feature that gives me reason to itch is customer service. This feature is quite limited for free users, which I understand, but still do not like. Especially for a new user, customer service is vital in order to gain a true testament to a software's use. I rely on customer service to help troubleshoot my issues when I am utilizing new software. The fact that I am not able to obtain more help and resources as a free user is troublesome.
