Pros Very easy to use. Making small groups or project groups is very easy. Easy and quick communication. You need only one click to start a video call out of a chat. Working in project groups is the best way to collaborate, all participants can be reached with one click and all the chats and project documents are available in de project group any time. Pros Webex Meeting are mostly used by Professional group of people for their meeting and screen sharing. Being a IT engineer we do use this software for setting a meeting with stake holders. Even, they will send a reminder 15 mins before starting the meeting. Cons Sometimes, all of sudden calls are dropped automatically. Cons I like the fact that you can call in from your phone, but it’s still very confusing to do. Echoes are really bad with WebEx. If one person isn’t wearing headphones, everyone’s meeting is ruined. Pros If you sell into Fortune 500 companies, this is your best bet for screenshare/conference call software. Every company uses it or has it greenlit as an acceptable extension by IT. This means it always works and is easy to use. Cons It is expensive. Products that have built in out-bound calling and/or integrations into various softwares are much less expensive and provide similar quaility. In many ways, it is simply the fact that it is so commonly used that is its true value proposition. I think it does a great job to serve its purpose, multiperson meetings are smooth without a problem, screen sharing is pretty decent and grabbing screen control also works well. Cons The only thing that probably needs to be tweaked a little bit would be the chat box, you barely notice new chat messages particularly when presenting and then when you turn the chat box on it just pops over your shared screen field. Don't really know what would be an ideal setup for that, but just something to note. Pros I like the feature of Audio, Visuals and sharing desktop, it help the other people to connect to the meeting using any device like mobile office computer or laptop. option to record a meeting for future reference and sharing desktop through web help a lot in term of cost saving and avoid onsite travel. we use Cisco Webex meeting very often to connect with the client for quick resolution and better understanding of critical issues. As it provides a very good experience of video conferencing. It also provides the personal room of a host and one can actually e notify the host in case of of no show. Pros Cisco WebEx is the most important tool I find in recruitment. I need to to arrange the interviews of my candidates with manager and I can easily do it through WebEx. WebEx provides seamless and very user friendly interface between people. I must say the picture and the sound quality it offers is very good. One can join conference meetings, and other video conference too. It allows multiple people to join so that we can conduct a good conference meeting where the video conference is required. Cons Although this is the best software that I have used for conference meetings but it do requires a very good connection because it is very heavy software to run on a slow network. The quality is very good and it gets updates on a regular basis with sometimes great new content. There are some nice to haves in this software, but which software doesn't have those? Pros It's easy to setup a meeting and invite people. The audio and video quality is mostly very good, but of course it's also depending on the internet speed of the participants. I often use it to share screen contents with customers. Remote control is working fine too. It's really great that there are so many toll free numbers which can be used to dial in to the meeting. The desktop application also gives you a nice calender view with the scheduled meetings and an easy button to start them., Integration with e.g. Outlook works really nice. The meeting details are shared with the invited people. Cons Sharing files via this software is not easy or maybe even not possible. Often when the other party opens the Webex session in Google Chrome or Firefox, the shared screen content stays black. When opened in Internet Explorer or Edge it works fine. There are different ways to join meeting I.e from any device or dial in by phone. There is call me option while joining the meeting which directly calls the number you have provided. Other than call me user can call from computer using internet. Cons Sometimes call me option takes long time to give us a call on our number. But it isn’t a big deal as there is always other option which user can try. Also sometimes while sharing screen it takes time to load page. Webex is one of the names that were tested. The user interface is not excellent as I find my users struggling to use it. To add to the complication, IT needs to manually install the application for each device which is a struggle considering that most people were forced to work remotely Pros Webex is a common name in IT. I like the fact that CISCO is behind this application. This means that it has a strong and stable customer support. Cons My dislike with webex is the ability to be deployed to endpoints during the time. Cons Webex is confusing, very confusing at times. For instance, in Outlook, if you want to add Webex, you have a choice to 'Add Webex,' 'Add Personal Room' or 'Add Personal Conference.' Apart from that mute thing everything is fine, one more thing is that the mobile application is bit slow. Pros The best part about cisco webex meetings is it allows to share our screen with people not physically present for the session or meetings. Cons It doesn't provide complete privacy i.e. during the screen sharing if a person has put the call on mute, it shows that the specific person has muted. This is the main thing which i disliked. It cuts out the middle step of having to create the meeting for every appointment that you have if you use it with the meeting add-on for outlook. The UI is very nice and there are many features to make collaboration easy in a team or with clients. Pros When used with the add-on for outlook and the rest of the Cisco Presence ecosystem, this solution works like magic. It can automatically create meetings for you on the day and time that your events are scheduled for and will notify you 15 and 5 minutes before your event. The reminder is nice to get in and make sure that you have the meeting created so that your clients can join. The UI is very intuitive and beautiful. Cons There is a small learning curve to using the software if you are not familiar with remote meeting software. The automatic creation of the meeting is nice but you have to be signed in and apart of the meeting in order for the meeting to be started. Its always running tool which can be quickly accessed from the windows menu to schedule the meetings. Also, its ability to switch from audio to AV is great during the live meetings.
