Pros What I like about WebEx is first of all its meeting management features. I mean, via their web app it is possible to schedule a number of recurring or on the spot meetings, or reuse the same meeting link for different meetings. Whenever, email communication get's stuck, jumping in a call with a colleague is as easy as ask him to proceed to the usual WebEx meeting link. I also like meeting recording feature as well as ability to add annotations right shared during the meeting screen. Cons Sometimes meeting scheduling for different time zones works not as expected. One day I scheduled a meeting for guys sitting in PST and EST. As daylight changes started WebEx didn't take it into account. Though it is possible to invite external participants to the WebEx calls, they will need to download at least the browser extension, that is sometimes not trivial as meeting doesn't start right after downloading the extension. But many businesses have now adopted Zoom, MS Teams etc. and those are much easier to use and they integrate with Google and of course MS Office Pros Cisco WebEx there are better options for teleconferencing now that we have been working from home virtually. MS Teams Zoom and others are easier to use than WebEx. I don’t really have a thing I like most about this software but it is good to know it since many large businesses rely on it. Cons This software is clunky and not fun to use. If you’re doing a huge event say a virtual conference then it might be OK. The software is pretty bare bones there’s no fun aspects of it. It has improved communication within my company and made remote collaboration much easier. It’s a reliable platform that helps us stay connected and work efficiently, while maintaining a good level of security. Pros What I like most about Webex Suite is how it integrates communication and collaboration tools in one platform. Video meetings are stable, messaging is instant, and file sharing is very convenient. It also offers good security features, which helps us keep our company communications protected. Cons What I like least is that sometimes the interface can feel a bit complex for new users. Also, it may require more system resources compared to lighter tools, which can affect performance on older PCs. Pros I use this product on a daily basis for web conferences with my colleagues and supplier contacts. It’s great to have the integration with outlook which significantly makes it easy to schedule and follow up meetings. Also; I should mention that; screen sharing feature is definitely vital for any engineering environment. Cons Honestly; this is a very convenient software. Use this tool everyday for team meetings and collaboration. Pros Great tool for web conferencing and team meetings. Very user friendly with easy to understand and navigate through different options. Cons Could have more features like different virtual backgrounds, more widespread acceptance so different companies can use the same platform. It's easy to use and gets the job done to quickly get connected to the people you need to right away. Pros I like the fact that you can see all those that are on the call. It's very easy to transfer ownership of screen and easily show everyone in the meeting what you're trying to say. Cons I don't like that you can't call in to a meeting first, then log in to the conference and then attached the call to the web login. It has to be web login first, then call in using the attendee ID to connect the two. I think having a way to connect regardless of order would be great. I also don't like that you have no choice but to add web browser extensions. It is easy to setup and share your WebEx room to set up meetings. Even users that have never used WebEx before have said that it is quick to install the drivers and join meetings. Pros Ease of use, sound and video connectivity is great, multiple abilities to join calls for people with cameras, mics, no mics and just headphones, on your computer, cellphone, etc. Cons Some features are hard to manage like screen share - a window pops up and blocks part of the page and it is risky to mess with could it could end the call. You can create online meeting inside/outside of your organisation easily, meet your colleagues without any delay. It's also integrated with MS Office as well. Pros One-click meeting feature and personal room option are the fastest way to schedule a meeting with your colleagues. Screen sharing (incl. switching multiple screen) and annotating are on also very useful features I like. Cons Very rarely your screen may get frozen while your audio connection is alive. Its very simple and generally speaking clients don't have many issues being able to join a meeting, so its very intuitive. Also, they always are upgrading the product. Recently, they updated how your able to tweak the placement of the user control center to your preference which is a huge enhancement. Cons One of the biggest headaches I had with webex meeting was that you couldn't move the sharing control center around and it would be super annoying having to present a browser with multiple tabs and the control center would always get in the way and you'd have to wait for it to close to click the next tab. Pros With all the hardware and software well integrated together with in a network is really great. Using a WebEx Drawing Board or sharing presentation to the team, Schedule meeting and Calling functionality is great. WebEx Teams is also a great software well integrated with your overall Organisation. Cons Cisco WebEx Teams and Cisco Webex sometimes gets confused to join meeting. Sometime I have to use web version to join a meeting just because Teams is not able to connect. August 9, 2019 5.0 Pros There are meetings where folks from different regions need to dial in at the same time, and present/review data. The new Cisco Webex makes this experience seamless providing ability to dial in from laptop or phone or a conference room enabled with Cisco Webex, share slides, share videos etc. Cisco Webex is also very simple to login, with a simple one click on the meeting URL Cons I have noticed that once the number of users cross a particular threshold (eg: more than 10), when a new user dials in, the system hangs for a few seconds. This creates interruption in the presentation. Client Specialist Financial Services Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Works well for large meeting during covid" October 13, 2020 4.0 Great being able to see our clients since we can't be face to face with them right now. Pros I really like that you can host large seminars and invite a couple hundred people or you can have a 1 on 1 meeting with a client and it's safe and secure. I also like that the people you invite do not have to create a user ID and PW. Also really love that you can screen share so I can show a client their portfolio and performance. Also great feature is if you are hosting a seminar, you can mute everyone as the host to limit background noise for other people trying to listen. Cons The things most frustrating with this software was the customer service. We had trouble at the onset with it and their customer service desk is overseas and hard to get through. It was the start of covid19 (Mar-April 2020)when we were all working from home and hold times were no less than an hour to get through. My call kept dropping and I had to call and get in queue again. Once I was through, the representative was helpful and able to resolve my issue. Not sure what current hold times look like. December 18, 2018 4.0 Pros I like how many platforms Webex supports. You can typically find a client for any OS that you're using, and the clients tend to work pretty well. I also like how easy it is to setup and manage my own personal Webex room, and have custom settings that I prefer. Cons I dislike how much of a voice delay there is between folks that are using computer audio and a telephone to dial in. June 13, 2019 4.0 Sharing desktop and some portion of programs (ie. showing only one file w/o sharing desktop) is very usefull. In addition to that it is easy to use this application for both teleconference and video conference. Also whiteboard application is very usefull to explain something during a meeting. Negative way of last version is unhidden speakers tab, which shows the speaker name when he/she speaks. Old version allows to close it. The ability to connect with the team via online services and still maintain that personal touch is important., Pros WebEx allows the user to experience a seamless video conference call by offering features important to any end user. From easily recognizable tools such as microphone mute to screen sharing , I have appreciated the programs functionality. Cons I have not experienced any issues with Webex at this time.
