With Webex, I can easily arrange a meeting. Pros Webex has a very user friendly and easy to use interface and with these features Webex became most important partner for me on a regular day. I can easily set-up a meeting with colleagues who located different places. Cons Generally, I faced one problem when I try to attend any meeting, which is the problem between explorer and Webex. Pros Cisco. That is the biggest advantage. You get years of network experience built into the application, which offers some nice web meeting features. Cons Its client is bulky, and often slow to load, as opposed to other solution like Skype for Business or Zoom. Teachers had to learn this software on the fly during the pandemic, and it was a navigable platform with an abundance of additional features--such as break out grouping--if one wanted to delve deeper. Cons There were several complications with Webex hosting, especially when trying to host a large number of students at once. Admittedly, there could have been some user error playing into these complications, but greater autonomy and control for the hosting party would have been nice. This usually works well and thus, does not require a staff member in the California office to travel to New Jersey to attend a meeting or help out another staff member. Pros WebEx usually works when you try to hold a meeting with it. Sharing control of the meeting also work quite well. I have tried to attend meeting hosted by other providers and found that we could not share the screen as we needed to and had to move to a WebEx meeting to do what we wanted to do in the meeting. Cons The biggest problem I see with WebEx is that meeting that are scheduled cannot be accessed by the people who are supposed to attend the meeting. Instead they get a message that the meeting was not setup or had been cancelled, even thought the organizer did not cancel the meeting. So, we always arrange a webex meeting and meet there to discuss the agendas. It give you a very personal feeling while attending the webex meeting that you are almost there with other members. The best thing is that you are independent of your desk, you can literally login from any desk or laptop or even cell phones too, so there is greater accessibility. Pros Cisco has been the market leader in Audio and Video conferencing for a long time now. The software itself is too easy to understand and use. There isn't any learning curve at all. You will just need to login once and you are all set. You can use it to host video conferences, share screen and make other people presenter as well. It's a really handy when you have a remote team and they are spread across different parts of the world. Cons Nothing really, but if I had to point out something it would be the space allocated to record the video conferences which needs to be increased. You definitely need a strong, fast and reliable inernet connection if you wanna host a video conference without any lag. They have been fairly reliable over the years, even when other services have been spotty. Pros WebEx is our primary remote training tool, and it has been very reliable over the years. We were happy enough with the simple plan that we had employed for years that we bought an event account as well. This has been less used, but no less valuable when we have the need for a much larger audience. Cons They cannot seem to decide on a front page view once you log in. The problem with the newer version is, you cannot easily schedule meetings, definitely not with the advanced scheduler. We constantly revert back to the 'classic' version, which I hope they never sunset. We could not do our work here without the ability to configure our meetings more selectively. Pros WebEx is great when employees all over the country need to connect or collaborate on a project. We use it for national campaign calls to include all campaign managers on the same call. We are able to ask questions and make comments while the stream is going which is far more helpful than just a regular conference call. I always prefer the WebEx option to a standard conference call. The record feature is also so helpful because you're able to go back and listen to, usually, important conversations. It's easier than attempting to take notes while it's live because you know you can go back to listen for extra details. Cons It can sometimes be glitchy, but that's mostly due to the internet connection I think. Otherwise it's a great product that I like to use. Great one! Pros Most effective software for Screen sharing I've ever used. Especially annotation is a great "plus" over Microsoft teams. Also, really stable and user friendly. Eased work-from-home option. Pros Cisco WebEx client can be installed for free as add-on to the browser , or standalone client. It does not consume much memory, does not degrade performance. Even without a client installed, you can manage to join meeting through the browser. Never crashed. Numerous features such as sharing your screen, presentation, white board, allowing or stoping video/voice. Meeting info and URL can be easily shared by attendees. On top of that, one person cannot schedule more than one conference to occur at once; all the users who dial into one conference will end up in the other conference, creating mass confusion. Pros \- High definition video and audio quality is amazing even on not-so-amazing connectivity, I guess that's to their data compression - Screen sharing is also pretty neat, minimal latency most of the time - Meeting setup and joining is pretty intuitive - Video recording and playback is quite useful in cases where you miss something and want to go back to the recording Cons \- Support for older browsers isn't great, not sure if this is much of their fault, but some clients we engage don't have the latest browsers, so that's out of our own control when we want to have a meeting with them - Latency and connectivity performances are not present on the Mobile version, it could use some work to get up to the level of quality as desktop/web Review Source SS Sangita S. WebEx boosts our productivity by being easy to manage and use. Pros WebEx makes it incredibly easy for a new user to install the program (or browser extension) and join a meeting. Total setup time is within seconds and joining a meeting is an absolute breeze. All it takes is a little bit of coordination from an email and WebEx is ready to go when you are. I've had a great time using the extension and joining meetings, and my philosophy is that if software is never noticed, it's working perfectly. That's what using Cisco WebEx has been for me and my team. Cons I don't have any real gripes. Everything works out of the box and I've never experienced a real issue with WebEx. There are a variety of options to call in from (computer, phone, etc) and I'm not sure which one to go with for optimal quality but the software functions just fine. Pros I feel this is one of the easiest platforms to use if your meeting includes both internal and external attendees. Easy for both to join and contribute to the meeting. Cons Sometimes logging in is an issue, I feel it forgets my password. I feel I have to get a new password almost every time I use it. Pros The feature I like the most is the live transcript of an ongoing video conference. Cons Webex does not work well with low bandwidth connectivity.
