However, the fact remains most other products can now match WebEx in terms of features and easy of use. Still the best for Enterprise users. Pros WebEx, even after tough competition from other players like Skype, Zoom, GoToMeeting, etc, is still the most reliable and trustable software for enterprise collaboration. Cons The pricing is on the higher side compared to other softwares in the category. Won't suite SME companies. Pros I am a user of this software for customer service reasons. One of the main companies my business uses for our day to day activities connects with us through WebEx when we are having an issue they cannot trouble shoot over the phone. Also, when we need to do major company wide upgrades that affect our day to day business, sometimes they need to get into one of our computers and do a major overhaul. With them being based many states away, WebEx allows members of our company and their team to interface and have full access to the program on our server, and see exactly what is going on in our environment, in real time. There is no need to sit on a lengthy customer service call trying to explain a problem, when we can just let them take over and show them directly. Cons Due to the fact that I have two screens, and many of them only have one... this seems to really only support a one screen takeover. If there is an upgrade that allows them to see both, I am unaware. So, sometimes it means we have to keep trading off control to move things back and forth. Personally I have used other products such as Skype but WebEx is the best. Pros Cisco Web is a very stable and well functioning online meeting tool. It provides audio and video meeting with phone call or internet call, recoding function, chatting and all others. I was often the presenter for training sessions and once I got all the attendees online, we could just roll through. The trickiest part for new users was getting logged in. After that, it was a breeze to use. Pros The features that WebEx has to allow presenters to screen share, poll the attendees and chat are some of the best features of the product. Once WebEx is on a users computer, it is a snap to schedule a meeting or just start a meeting and invite attendees. Cons WebEx is slightly more complex and complicated to use that is scares some users. Not all users are ready to jump in and self teach but once you get started, you find out how easy the product is to use. Good to share desktop and also give control of you desktop to other users (for example in case of support od customers demo). Non limits in partecipants. Good quality in video and voice also with low bandwidht. A lot of good features more, a professional tools. Cons You have to install a plugin, for exaple for Chrome web browser. " August 26, 2021 3.0 My overall experience with this platform roams around technical events/meetups memories. Those events have been successful as well as my experience with Cisco WebEx. Pros I like the connectivity and the noise free communication of cisco webex the most. It is designed for professional presentations and technical meetups. Hence, you do not see a lot of gestures found in other fancy platforms. But this platform ensures that you can share your files, data properly. It also makes sure that you are heard at every window properly without any cutoffs. Cons I dislike the fact that I can not see the full list of attendees. Sometimes during my presentations, I need to see my group mate (if he /she logs off from his/her social media or any other reachable platform) to have proper communication during presentations. WebEx has allowed all participants to see the same and has proven to be highly beneficial and professional. Pros It has the facility that allows me to integrate all the applications that I have on my computer at the time of making meetings with other participants, share my desk with other people and organize meetings from anywhere in the world. The white board is extremely useful when collaborating, and call recording is useful when you may need to copy it to someone who could not attend, or just to keep track. It does not matter what devices they use because of their compatibility and convergence with different operating systems, whether personal computers, Macs, tablets or mobile phones. Cons The function to search for a member is not giving the right results. There are problems to get multiple screens if we join the same meeting twice. It hangs up and we have to restart the web ex. Consisted of several interviews and 1:1 meetings. During the latter one, my partners voice was poorly isolated in the open office, making me understand her pretty difficult as a non-native. Nonetheless, the voice and video reliablity during the interviews was perfect, and I wish that they can inplement atleast some Office/.pdf gimmicks. I used professionally Teams, combined with Decisions and SharePoint and would prefer it generally. Pros Modern, clean interface. It was a positive experience despite some issues with registration. The screen-share was smooth and there were no visible slowdowns. Later, I tried using the program to host a virtual job fair but quickly found it wasn’t the right tool. With that said, I’d still recommend this product for many other uses. Pros WebEx Events is very easy to use. My company uses other WebEx/Cisco products so the transition was seamless. That familiarity was a huge benefit, but started with the product being easy to use/navigate. Cons Users have reported issues with the waiting room/registration function in the past. Pros I loved how easy this was to use, very intuitive as a programme and has fantastic functionally. It just works. Made life very straight forwards to the team and myself to use, which is so important when working remotely. Cons There's always more features that could be added. Would love to see the ability for attendees to book 121 meetings during an event. Improved reliability on non-Chrome browsers would be beneficial also. Pros Webex by Cisco has great audio and video quality. Even if you have low bandwidth at your office, Webex by Cisco maintains good quality. The idea of always being active makes the software efficient and easy to use. Cons Comparing to the competition and other video conferencing applications on the market, Webex by Cisco is a bit expensive. It seems to more more reliable than Slack, more intuitive than Teams, and generally more flexible than other virtual meeting tools. Pros I appreciate how flexible it is. I can join from just my phone, join from my laptop, or even join from my laptop but route the audio to my phone. Cons I wish the “join” and “exit” beeps were automatically disabled for large meetings. It sounds like a small thing but it can get very irritating. And when someone sharing their desktop or application there may be lag that you see the screen few seconds later. Pros Despite having switched to a different meeting solution (an integrated one with a different suite of products, which I won't name), we would always compete internally for access to one person who managed to keep their WebEx access. It's such a simple, well-known software that is incredibly reliable. It continues to do exactly what it promises to do. You can invite anyone from outside your organization to efficiently join a meeting, without having to worry about them installing any software or updating their system. Cons The only thing I don't like about this is that my organization moved away from using it. They put a high priority on networking tools, including all the fun! Our attendees loved the contest and social media aspects. We have had zero issues during our live events, and it has been easy for our attendees to learn how to use the platform and dive right into the content. Pros Socio is the perfect hybrid of do-it-yourself, but get as much support as you would like, option out there. It is very easy to build events and they give you all the support you need to be successful. The final result is a highly professional, easy to use, virtual event platform. We received nothing but compliments from our attendees and have done 2 events now with this platform. Cons The market demand during this time is driving prices up across all companies who do virtual event platforms. Socio is one of the more reasonably priced when you compare to others for sure, especially if you go with the do-it-yourself approach, but even with that, soon non-profits my size may be priced out if the trend continues. Reason for choosing Webex Suite We demoed about 20+ platforms before deciding on Socio. Socio was the only one that seemed to really consider the user experience from beginning to end.
