It was a positive experience despite some issues with registration. The screen-share was smooth and there were no visible slowdowns. Later, I tried using the program to host a virtual job fair but quickly found it wasn’t the right tool. With that said, I’d still recommend this product for many other uses. Pros WebEx Events is very easy to use. My company uses other WebEx/Cisco products so the transition was seamless. That familiarity was a huge benefit, but started with the product being easy to use/navigate. Cons Users have reported issues with the waiting room/registration function in the past. For example, I had to troubleshoot with a user who couldn’t get into an event that had already started. Review Source Zoe P. Their customer service is 11/10 and they're constantly growing and evolving their product to make it even better. Pros I loved how easy this was to use, very intuitive as a programme and has fantastic functionally. It just works. Made life very straight forwards to the team and myself to use, which is so important when working remotely. Cons There's always more features that could be added. Would love to see the ability for attendees to book 121 meetings during an event. Improved reliability on non-Chrome browsers would be beneficial also. Pros As a company, people are always reluctant to use a software that may end up compromising classified information and data; however, our research group had no inhibitions in using Cisco Webex for meetings. This is a go to app for many companies. Cons I hope the screen sharing aspect can be improved where one can use the cursor to highlight various aspects of a presentation that can be viewed by others. I was looking for a reliable and fast video conferencing software when I found this software. Having a reliable connection has greatly improved the productivity of our tourism industry. Pros Webex by Cisco has great audio and video quality. Even if you have low bandwidth at your office, Webex by Cisco maintains good quality. The idea of always being active makes the software efficient and easy to use. Cons Comparing to the competition and other video conferencing applications on the market, Webex by Cisco is a bit expensive. Webex by Cisco is not enough, I realized wee also need a different Cisco WebEx software if we want to leverage training, customer support and company events. Review Source Jarod B. It seems to more more reliable than Slack, more intuitive than Teams, and generally more flexible than other virtual meeting tools. Pros I appreciate how flexible it is. I can join from just my phone, join from my laptop, or even join from my laptop but route the audio to my phone. Cons I wish the “join” and “exit” beeps were automatically disabled for large meetings. It sounds like a small thing but it can get very irritating. And it seems the best way to organize meetings. Pros You can have your daily meetings with everyone globally and prevents loosing time & travel costs. Sharing, anotating helps a lot during meetings with Webex. Cons Shared screen sometimes you don't notice during meetings. And when someone sharing their desktop or application there may be lag that you see the screen few seconds later. Pros Despite having switched to a different meeting solution (an integrated one with a different suite of products, which I won't name), we would always compete internally for access to one person who managed to keep their WebEx access. It's such a simple, well-known software that is incredibly reliable. It continues to do exactly what it promises to do. You can invite anyone from outside your organization to efficiently join a meeting, without having to worry about them installing any software or updating their system. Cons The only thing I don't like about this is that my organization moved away from using it. It also does rely on successful priority integration by IT for call quality, but that's not a negative from the software. Review Source AN Adam N. They put a high priority on networking tools, including all the fun! Our attendees loved the contest and social media aspects. We have had zero issues during our live events, and it has been easy for our attendees to learn how to use the platform and dive right into the content. Pros Socio is the perfect hybrid of do-it-yourself, but get as much support as you would like, option out there. It is very easy to build events and they give you all the support you need to be successful. The final result is a highly professional, easy to use, virtual event platform. We received nothing but compliments from our attendees and have done 2 events now with this platform. Cons The market demand during this time is driving prices up across all companies who do virtual event platforms. Socio is one of the more reasonably priced when you compare to others for sure, especially if you go with the do-it-yourself approach, but even with that, soon non-profits my size may be priced out if the trend continues. Reason for choosing Webex Suite We demoed about 20+ platforms before deciding on Socio. Socio was the only one that seemed to really consider the user experience from beginning to end. I never have connectivity issues or any problems during any meetings. It is a great tool when everyone is working from home. Pros Cisco Webex has been making upgrades to compete in the now virtual world. They have addressed privacy by creating backgrounds. They now have Q&A and polling features for group meetings. You can also have multiple hosts per meeting. I especially like the whiteboard feature. Cons I wish Webex offered more backgrounds and was more universal. I guess it depends on what features the company pays for. I would also love if you could "pop out" the chat and q&a boxes to maximize screen space in the main screen. Review Source Vergin A. It gives you a free trail of 14 days with limited access to the features. You will need to pay if you wish to unlock the other features. The quality of the videos, calls and screen sharing are very good with higher quality. Group conferencing is available. its very feasible for larger industries as it gives the option to share access to 5-6 people using a single licence. Cons Found a little odd in understanding the functionalities at the begininh though im usually able to understand the features easily. As a company we moved towards another conferencing app since we found its hard for some of our clients to understand how to use the app. They could unlock some more features during the trail so that we can consider when buying the app for the organization. It works and has decent video and screen sharing quality. Audio is a bit weak in sound quality, but reliable most of the time. Cons It's a bit complex to set up meetings outside of having your own virtual meeting room to invite people to. April 25, 2018 2.0 The name and brand behind any meeting shows that you have good security in place, webex is expensive so it also showed that you have economic capacity if you are attracting clients. Pros Using webex always gives you a great name due to the security features and the brand behind it. I used it for meetings and I like that it has the option to do online calling and also through a physical landline. Cons It was really painful to setup, it has many codes and passwords to get into any meeting and for certain individuals (my clients) it was really painful every time I sent them a webex invite. Its security robustness makes it low and also the quality is not always the best, many times people would not be able to join it due to not knowing how to access it, on the overall is not very user friendly to join any meeting. The pricing is very high when compared to others. Easier to setup and control host details versus other platforms that I've used. Meetings have run smooth and the platform has been extremely reliable. Pros Extremely functional - meetings of large size tend to run smooth and there are not many issues with sharing content, sharing webcams, etc. Desktop app and plugins could use a bit updating - (internet browser plugin gives me some issues). Cons Could be a bit more use friendly. I get a lot of questions from users about how to use and configure this, whereas, Zoom users tend to not have many more questions. I credit this to an easier user interface for Zoom vs WebEx being a bit more complicated. Reason for choosing Webex Suite Cisco name brand won out, we were familiar with the company.
