March 20, 2018 4.0 Pros Webex is a great tool to share your screen and i've tried multiple competitors and this one does seem to work the best of them (GotoMeeting). It's simple, easy to invite other people and pass the baton on who's sharing their screen Cons Theres a couple things I think they could improve upon to make this product better. 1. Work out some kinks for Mac users, currentyl you cant pick which screen(if have multiple screens) you want to share. 2. The doc controls that slide up and down a you get close to them get annoying when you get close tot he top, maybe making the dock moveable, since the top doesn't make the most sense especially when you have multiple tabs on a browser - I find myself inadvertently opening the dock when i don't want ti0. Pros Cisco WebEx provides us with a great platform to collaborate with colleagues who are present in different locations we can set up meetings digitally with the help of Cisco WebEx. Settings meetings are very easy. Provides great audio/video quality. Good features like file sharing, chatting between the joiners. Easy to send invitations to others. Everyone has gotten the hang of dialing in and tossing ideas back and forth using the screen share. Pros I can share my screen to the other users while broadcasting auto. Additionally, other users can take over the screen sharing when necessary. Cons It took me a few meetings to get the hang of using the program. The program's menu options are laid out in a standard format, which makes logic sense; however, it took some time to adapt too. Cons The share screen feature seems to have an issue (occasionally), when sharing a particular app, the minimized options (mute, seeing participants list) seem a bit difficult to manage-especially on a mobile device. This app is definitely a good alternative to Zoom, if you can't have zoom. The product is easy to implement and is very customizable. I'd recommend this app to people who are deciding it to get for their company/team. Pros This app is a great alternative to zoom. It is definitely very secure. I use it every week for my group meetings and the screen sharing option does come in very handy. There is a wonderful live chat option too. Documents can also be shared over the platform, which comes in handy at times. The screen annotation option during screen sharing or general conference calls is nice. Cons There were times where audio of o a couple of participants in my meeting was choppy. This happens about every week but only lasts for a very short period of time. Clients are already familiar with it and starting up meetings doesn't require too much preparation or effort. Pros Most clients are already familiar with WebEx so setting up meetings generally doesn't require too much work. Screensharing and video are all combined into one app which is nice. Recording is helpful for the people who can't attend the meetings at the scheduled time. Cons Video codec is often lacking even with adequate bandwidth. Audio codec leads to some compressed audio, especially in times where there is either a lot of background noise or multiple attendees making noise at once. You get quality video and audio and incredibly fast connection. Pros With such an amazing and elegant interface, this is the real deal when it comes to virtual meeting organization. I have used one or two virtual communication platforms and so far, I have to say that Cisco Webex Meeting is the best. You can connect globally just at the touch of a button and connection numbers (for calls) pretty much cover a significant number of countries. If you are using Outlook, you will absolutely enjoy every minute of the software as it works seamlessly with Outlook. You can easily keep track of your agenda, know what's coming up and plan accordingly. And when it comes to add-ons to access other features, you won't worry about integration. If you are conducting a webinar, you will definitely like the speed that comes with it and the best part is that it works with any browser. No limitations. Sharing documents and other files is smooth in real-time. And if anyone has missed the meeting, the recording feature allows you to get a recorded video that can be shared later. Something else worth noting is the simplicity of private rooms. Call quality is topnotch. Cons Web plug-in may take some time when you are just getting started. Pros The software is easy to use. There is usually a link embedded in the emails directing our audience straight into our meetings. We also like that there's a button once inside the meeting to have the system call you for the audio portion of the meeting. The response time is usually very crisp and works very well. Cons The only negative is when a computer joins WebEx for the first time, it has to download the plug in for the browser. Sometimes this takes a few minutes and the participant ends up being a little late to the meeting. It's not really the fault of WebEx but just something to be mindful of.
