It brings up a schedule/reminders, you join the meeting, and people are there with a video box and everything you'd expect. But there are SO many options out there that all work just as well. With Webex, I find the UI frustrating and overly cluttered at times. If I hold a meeting for a group I have people popping in and out with annoying alerts, the participant box and chat box filling half the screen, and "minimized" bars while I'm presenting that don't need to be present at all. Not to mention what seems to be poor audio and video quality/latency. I wouldn't recommend using Webex. Cisco seems like an outdated relic of a company. Pros The only feature I enjoy about Webex is the schedule feature that you can leave open on your desktop. It's as minimalist as a schedule should be and makes joining an upcoming meeting or checking your times easy. Cons There are several features that aren't included in the desktop app, like changing recurring meeting details, that make switching between the app and website very frustrating. Features shouldn't be hidden from the software and put on a website that requires you to login every time. Review Source JB Jenan B. Pros It is good for a fast meeting, has an easy use interface especially when using it on a laptop or PC. Since our teacher used it for giving feedback on our visual work, Webex has annotation tools that made this experience easier and more productive. It also has a call record feature, chat box that is easy to appear for all, and you can make reactions when you can't open your mic. Cons Once I opened it from my tablet and I had a trouble in opening or closing the mic while I'm sharing my screen.However I didn't like that it is a momentary thing, I mean you just make that call or meeting and then its over you can't get back to what had been shared or you can't send a message, everything ends after closing the meeting. Highly recommend this for any organization. Pros Cisco Webex has very good user-friendly interface. Quality of the Audio and Video in a conference call is quite good. Sharing the computer screen is a nice future and you can customize what to show/present for the attendees. Easy to install setup and almost all browsers are supported. In fact, it supports session recording and allow attendees to focus later if they have missed any. Cons If you or your organization do not have frequent webexes; this is not the ideal product in terms of cost/budget. The service allows you to create video chats or audio chats, which are extremely useful for collaboration. While it is true that other services also provide this feature, Webex Teams is completely online which makes it easy to access on the computer without having to download software. It also comes with a great app for your phone. It also works well for large groups for having discussions. I find that these discussions can be a bit too much to keep track of at times, but luckily you can create a room with fewer people for a smaller discussion. Of course, the best part of Webex is the ability to create "Teams" and have the members be able to create their own spaces and individual chats. Overall, this is a great tool for organization. Cons Occasionally, Webex can be quite slow to load, especially when you are having long distance video chats. That being said, I think that Webex has gotten much better recently in terms of call quality, and it is easy to exit and then get back into a call. Review Source HP Hong P. Clients and business partners can utilise the tool for free, allowing us to engage with them in a secure and complete manner with the rest of our offerings. Customers or business partners do not need to pay anything to collaborate with us or utilise our spaces, even though we have a licence that covers cloud storage. As a result, it's a really useful tool. Pros Cisco Webex is quite dependable in terms of meetings, conferencing, and screen sharing, as well as security. We've been using it a lot with suppliers and for remotely resolving tickets and issues when we need full access to remote endpoints, and it's been great. Wonderful software! i would recommend it to anyone. Pros Cisco Webex is a great software for setting up meetings with our employees and/or trainings for our customers. Very easy to use and very user friendly for our customers also. Takes no time at all to setup a meeting. This software is cloud base so if I am away from the office, I can still join in on company meetings. I use the webex meeting to dial into the customers computer (share desktop screens) to train them on the software they just purchased. In the company where I work, we use it in every meeting and I never had any problems. Cons The contact center is sometimes slow to respond to queries or complaints. It can be disorienting when having a large group call with multiple people talking, but is great when hosting a session with primarily one lead presenter or when having just audio conferences without user video. Pros I really like that users can dial into the meetings in WebEx and that the platform is very friendly for international calls. Also, the system handles sharing content quite easily. Cons I do not really like the visibility of others during group calls when content is not being displayed. Maybe it is just my version of the product or I just can't find a way to toggle it, but the user is displayed taking up the entire screen as they are talking/noise is picked up and it flips back and forth every time someone new says something. Webex is not the cleanest experience or UI, but it's performance is top-notch. Pros Webex makes it really easy to share conference login information, create new meetings and invites at a moment's notice (though not the easiest on the market) and a lot of features that just simply work. Connection and audio quality is very high in the Webex platform. Cons The UI is really clunky and not very easy to work with. Depending on the OS that you are using, sharing your screen will most likely change the look and resolution of your computer. This can really throw you off especially because you lose access to the menubar/Start button on a PC. So if you don't know about alt—tab, you're up a creek. Review Source Lindsay A. Our first-ever virtual event went without a hitch while a lot of internal work went into the planning, content, and execution, we couldn't have done it without Socio's platform and their exceptional customer support and account management. Pros The overall flexibility of building out and managing your live event is exceptional. You can make edits as the event is happening, toggle through your event menu, chat, direct message, etc. with attendees while still viewing your live event feed, and you can customize just about everything to fit your brand. We received multiple comments from attendees about how easy it is to use and appreciating how organized our event was. Cons The login process feels a little clunky, with the platform/backend login and web app login being separate. I'm also not sure if this is just me, but to login to the app/user view, we had to have a designated link instead of just going to app.socio.events, so I would recommend bookmarking your event login URL. Reason for choosing Webex Suite I was not directly a part of the vetting process but I believe my team went with socio for ease of use, fitting all of our specific needs, customer support, and cost in comparison to other platforms' capabilities. My main issue is the audio quality. Pros I like the ease of use. I can easily share my webex link, create a link on the go within my email, and pass on user controls. It's easy to record meetings and they even have an iPhone app that Cons Major audio issues. My line has constant crackles. People often have to hang up and dial back in to clear the crackles. Well priced, easy to use for both our team and our customers. We’ve yet to experience any downtime with the service, we just open it up and it works. Pros WebEx is a good collaboration platform. We use it to connect employees spread across different offices and when working with our customers. Easy to setup and use, it’s saved us from having to bring employees on site as often. Cons The default deployment requires users to install browser plugins which some It departments don’t allow. Although their is a work around available that allows webex to run without the plugins it limits a few features so it’s an area that could use some work. Otherwise we’ve been very happy with it. With features that allow you to have small video chats, large meetings, or even virtual class rooms with break-out rooms.
