Maximizing presenters screen always leaves side and top bar menu-s. Tray bar process trys to access MS Outlook databases file (OST/PST) for calendar notifications ... but since Outlook app is already started - file is locked and unavailable. August 11, 2018 5.0 WebEx has become almost the standard when it comes to conference calls and online meetings so it’s nice to use a product that most people are at least somewhat familiar. Pros I’ve been using WebEx for a long time and I love it. Meeting Center is very user-friendly, anyone can use it and you don’t have to download a ton of software. I also like that it integrates with my email so I can easily start a meeting with just 1 click, it goes on my calendar and I can send the invitations right from there. Cons The only con is that often participants call in without using the identifyer that links their online session with the audio so sometimes it can be difficult to tell who is speaking or to mute someone with a lot of background noise. Webex makes it easy and calls are considerably more audible for all users. This makes meetings more effective and concise. It also cuts out some of the background noise which is a big plus. Pros I like having different package options that fit our organization rather than having to pay for lots of features I don't need or use. I also like the ability to share my screen rather than trying to "paint a picture" with words when it's appropriate. Cons The scheduler isn't as user friendly as it could be for recurring meetings. The advanced scheduler is easy to use but it isn't always easy to find on the layout. May 5, 2018 5.0 I could have a stable platform to conduct meeting for a large number of audience. Hosting the meeting is very easy and does not need any training. Best Virtual tool to have a training when you feel Face-to-Face meetings are not going to solve your problem. Pros Easy to use. To conduct a conference all you need is email ID of the participant. Upon scheduling a meeting, the meeting schedule can be loaded in Outlook. Biggest advantage is users can switch from one device to another in an online meeting on the fly. You can share files without problems. We also have Event Center where we can conduct events where we can accomodate up to 3000 Events. Cons Everything is so good with this product. Not good for personal use. Only for large scale Enterprises can afford it. Pricing is very costly. The pricing is based on no. of users that can be accommodated by WebEx. Pros The great advantage of Cisco Webex is the intuitive platform for the users to join the meetings. It only takes a couple clicks to get online with your buddies at work. A remarkable feature is the quality of video calls. Having the right hardware and network speed, you get to experience a vivid live session on your video calls. Cons From my perspective with more than 6 years of IT support experience, I have noticed that the users are still needing some kind of help, since the dialing number gets too long or they get stuck when dialing from a Cisco desk telephone but maybe that's a particular issue when users don't get to have an understandable training. Pros Cisco WebEx is one of the easiest meeting software to use. The cost is cheap and end users do not have issues using the software once it is installed. You can record the meeting and go back and review the meeting to take notes and etc. Cons All recordings are in the WebEx format and when converted it is a large file. October 24, 2022 5.0 When Webex worked for us, it worked well and allowed for secure, internal communications. Our campus had difficulty setting up the system, but this was 3 years ago now. Pros Webex was an early player in video conferencing, with Cisco known for excellent cybersecurity and business solutions. It was our school's early pick for web conferencing early in the pandemic. When we were able to make it work, the program worked quite well, and we found video and audio to be clear. Cons I'm not certain if this was an issue with Webex or with our IT solutions, but it was very difficult to get users signed in to the system. Instructions for students were difficult to follow, and we ultimate selected other programs long-term. Pros I like that I was able to have appointments and even attended general sessions court with this app and used face to face interactions through video calls. Cons I have to install Cisco add-on to start my meetings. Since my company applied restricted IT policy on everyone's computer, it brings the difficulties to the people who do not have this add-on installed. It does need some updating on the UI and technical sides to be more usable but the service itself is familiar and useful. Pros WebEx has 30 day free trials which are a life saver for last minute meeting needs. Cons WebEx is pretty consistent but can be very slow to download. It sometimes requires several tries to download and use, which is frustrating when a meeting has already started and you cannot join. It's also difficult to find needed functionality because controls are spread out across the screen and not all in one central location. The cost is also high (as a consultant) and there's no option for project-based use, which means I have to cancel and restart my subscription every time I use it for a new project. Large number of participants can be added and mostly the meetings/call are very smooth and glitch free. 3. Excellent for conducting training sessions and design workshop for team members across locations. 4. Sharing documents etc is also easy over a meeting. On this time it allowed me to participate in very important meetings and take some decisions thousands miles away from me office. Pros Cisco WebEX offers a wide range of security features in a toolbox designed to make the communication between members of companies effective and seamless. The interface is very well designed, allowing to use WebEX very easily. The communications quality is another very positive point. Cons Sometimes it seems a bit complicated to correctly configure and make it work out if members of a certain conversation are from different companies. The functionality is all there, but there are things on the user side that are a little annoying. It gets the job done, but could be more polished. Pros WebEx has allowed for very large recorded calls. This is very useful for organization wide demos. All expected features (video, audio, call in, recording etc.) are present for mass presentation software. A local client isn't necessary, so it is easy to get people in that are new without a lot of setup. Cons Many people log in with their webcams turned on by mistake or joining unmuted. This leads more less technologically inclined people to simply cover their webcam and leave the video feed on. I think there should be meeting config to disable webcams or default them to off. Pros I liked the data security, the innovative features, and the huge potential for large conferencing events that Webex offers. Webex has end-to-end encryption, background noise canceling, real-time transcription, and personalized screen designs. It also allows up to 100,000 participants in a single event, which is impressive. Cons I disliked the high price, the limited cloud storage, and the fact that end-to-end encryption is not enabled by default. Webex is more expensive than some of its competitors, and it only offers 10GB of cloud recording storage per user. April 11, 2018 4.0 Allows employees in different locations to meet and collaborate. Pros The program allows for our entire national team to speak together and share documents or presentations. There are options to call in using a phone or to use the speakers and microphone on your computer. Cons From presenter mode, you have to allow the program to make changes to your computer in order to upload documents. For my setup, our IT has to manually put in an administrative password to allow this. It seems like an unnecessary level of security. There are sometimes echos when people talk, even if all other users are muted. There is a delay in sound if using your computer for audio versus a phone, so a phone is recommended.
