Cons Features & user interface could be more simpler & much better. Also sometime faced Audio issue while taking meeting from VDI environment. The first part is great- it integrates with Outlook so there is a button on the ribbon and with a simple click, all call-in information is added to your meeting invite. Awesome. When I start or attend a meeting, it is simple to click on the link in the invite or the reminder that pops up to get to an initial screen to join, including a great feature that allows Webex to call whatever number I want for sound-so much easier than entering numbers. The only real problem I have is trying to present with a clear screen, not the list of attendees or other screens. The documentation is lacking on how to do this easily. Minor but still a pain. I really like being able to grab the "ball" or presenters symbol and automatically have my screen present. For collaborative meetings, this is a great feature. Pros Ability to integrate with OUtlook to use one button to add a Webex to a meeting and ease of changing the presenter Cons There is not great documentation on setting up your meeting preferences and how to set up your screen causing presentations to have mini boxes or menus throughout. Simple documentation of standard use cases would solve the problem. Pros There are probably 25 good to great conference software platforms out there - We picked Socio after having demo's with 4 of the top vendors. There were several reasons why: The support is outstanding, the actual software is intuitive. Easy to move through the different areas. Cons There are a few areas in the software that, if I hadn't of had assistance, I would of not known about. Pros \- Intuitive dashboard with options clearly identified. - Robust meetings configuration options like date, timezone, attendes, and so on. - Meetings recording ability. - Ability to share screen between all the attendees during a meeting, and transfer this option (presenter). Cons \- Confused initial plugin installation process at the moment of joining a meeting. - Slow meeting loading, excessive dependence on internet broad band state. - Frequent audio problems, in some cases its necessary to restart the session and login again. We really appreciated their customer and technical support's availability to chat, their friendliness and their willingness to help guide us through the development of our event by using the product. Pros The software was intuitive and easy to use. The aesthetics were simple and pleasant. I appreciated that is was easy to read both by destop and handheld device. Cons There were a few features from the event planning perspective that could be enhanced - the Sposnor banners and chat functionality on the desktop application. Reason for choosing Webex Suite We looked at 30 applications and choice Socio for their functionality, price, easy to undertand package structure, customer service and ease of accessing staff for questions before using the product, Their responsiveness gave us great confidence that we would have support come the time ofour event if needed. Pros Easy to set up meetings quickly. International calling feature is helpful! Cons If you invite people to join your meeting thru Webex, it puts the calendar invite as an attachment in Outlook. Most people don't realize they need to open the attachment to get it on their calendars and then they end up missing the meeting. I have to create an appointment in outlook and then copy the Webex link info and send. It saves me tons of time by not having to physically visit my clients. Pros Love the integration into outlook for one click meetings. I can start a screen share meeting with just one click and email my attendees. Controls while in the meeting are great and the ability to show only the parts I want to show. Flexibility of what it shared is great to. Cons the reporting for after the meeting could be more detailed in my opinion. The training, support, building, and deployment worked extremely well with just the minor glitch of getting people into the app. We will continue to use Socio for the virtual aspect of our future events. Pros It was extremely easy to build our virtual event on this platform. It was easy, once participants had joined the event, to navigate and use. The support from Socio staff was great. This was our first virtual event and using Socio made it so easy. The feedback from our speakers, sponsors, and participants was all very positive. Those who had used other platforms said they thought Socio was better than the products they were familiar with. Cons One challenge we had was when participants were first joining the event. Even though we had encouraged and incentivized people to download the app early, we had many participants who waited until the conference was beginning to try to join and because it didn't always go perfectly, there was some added stress right at the beginning of the event. The other minor issue we has was that we would have liked to purchase a higher level of support and service but Socio did not have the staff available. They were up front about it though and did not sell us a product they could not support. And as it turned out, we didn't actually need all the support we initially thought we would. The browser extension is very small and gets isntalled easily. 3. The software is very reliable. If the browser extension fails for some reason the workaround solution is easy to implement and is reliable. 4. The Android and IOS applications are handy. The only downside is if you are the modarator then you can not schedule the meeting using the Android App. Cons The only downside is if you are the modarator then you can not schedule the meeting using the Android App. The Android application could have been developed in a way that it should allow the moderator to initiate the conference. I love it and at the moment I'm using it daily. Pros Cisco Webex Meetings is most probably the best software for organizing online meetings. It is reliable, user-friendly and to setup. Even users without IT knowledge can easily use it. The user interface is lovely and minimal. With Cisco Webex you can be sure that wont have any bandwidth issues . Cons The only part I don't like is the time spent for the software to be installed in the computers before the start of the meetings. This is affecting only guests that don't use regurlaly webex, but it is a little frustration for end users who risk to be late to the meetings. Pros WebEx is a very versatile and useful tool for work meetings, when you work on projects remotely and you need to be in contact with your colleagues this application is perfect, through your web application you can connect with your workers, make meetings, but you will ask "this I can do it with other applications ", but WebEx goes further, allowing to use presentations, to show videos, presentations and files, being very useful when you need to expose a project, besides your colleagues will be able to save the files in real time, this is really useful and its main virtue, you can also assign the post of exhibitor to another partner, doing the meeting as if it were in person. Cons Although it is a very complete program, it has disadvantages, the main one is the cost that can be very high, this leads you to look for less powerful options but with a more accessible cost, the transfer of files is slow regardless of your connection this is sometimes really slow, the voice service is not the best on the market, sometimes suffers from lag, for the cost this should be solved, requires a very fast internet connection, otherwise you will have problems. Pros Very easy to install and Use. I usually use the product for meetings or remote support. I send an invitation to the participant's e-mail address and have him attend my session. Application Developer Insurance Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Easy to transition from MS teams" September 14, 2021 4.0 Pros I came from a shop that used MS Teams exclusively for communications, to this new shop which used WebEx almost exclusively . It was a very easy transition as the two products have a very similar look and feel. Even though things were laid out slightly differently, it was still easy to find settings, start a chat, share the screen etc.. The web conferences and screen sharing all worked seamlessly. Cons It may just be due to my setup, but it does not seem to integrate as tightly with Outlook. At my old shop, in teams, i could start typing a persons name, and it would suggest a contact from my outlook. However, in webex, at least with my setup, it only brings up names of people I have already connected with. In order to start an internal chat with them, you need to enter their email address, which is a bit more cumbersome than just typing their name. This helps eliminated the costs of traveling. Pros What I like most about this product is that it can be used anywhere. We are able to set up meetings with office throughout the state. Cons Some areas have a bad connection, but that might just be because there are offices in rural Maine.
