Not able to connect or losing connection half way through meetings. Pros It is an easy application to use internally. If others attending your meetings (like outside of your organization) don't regularly use Webex then it is a challenge getting in the first time. I like that I can rename people who join and that I can mute attendees as the host. The white board feature is nice too. Cons It would be nice if you could capture in a report the attendees. Also, the recent upgrade doesn't allow just anyone to open your room when you aren't available, you have to designate someone specifically. It has many features and it is manageable. I like how it ties into Outlook for email Cons It is very cumbersome to set up a meeting, and the invitation that goes out is bulky, so the recipients of the invitation often get lost in all the unnecessary default message of the invitation. Also, the process to utilize the online sharing feature is very cumbersome and awkward to use. In other words the user-friendliness just isn't there. We will continue to use this. Pros I've been using Webex for just over a year with my work and we use it weekly for big meetings. We have over 200 people on each call and have never had any problems. Cons I wouldn't say there are any difficulties with this software. It may take some time to log in at times but rarely. Pros What I like about Webex is its virtual background option, where it does not require any green screen to be able to use the setting, which is far different from other similar software such as Zoom, which I find it hassle especially in my case where I only have a limited space available whenever I meet someone online. Cons What I do not like about the software however is the frequent glitches that I encounter especially in large-group meetings. There was this one time when our organization hosted a webinar, and for some reason all presenters were not able to present their slides, despite the administrator's setting to allow these users to do so. Among many other glitches (and bugs) I can remember, this is far the worse I have seen. I myself enjoy it too. Pros It is simple and integrates well with Microsoft Exchange and Cisco fire walls. It only takes about 20 mins of training for out less tech savvy users to get the hang of set up and and holding a meeting using the software. Cons I wish they had a Windows 10 app on the store or a hard install for clients and not just plugins. It makes it hard to deploy in a control VMware environment tricky not hard just tricky. Pros It's very user friendly and portable. When at work, I can take calls on my laptop, but when there are late night calls, I can take calls on my phone. Moreover, it has several features that prove it delivers superb experience in video conferencing, such as screen sharing and text messaging for those with poor connection. It is also great how it integrates with Outlook, allowing easy setup of meetings in the calendar. Cons There's a lot of competition regarding video calls. Although Cisco Webex markets itself as a professional software, I can understand how many may move over to other products with a larger range of features to reduce the number of softwares needed for the job. I wouldn’t be able to be as productive with my clients or coworkers during meetings while the help of Webex. Pros Whenever I’m not able to be with my coworkers or clients in person, then I will use Webex as it’s the next best option. We can see each other’s videos and collaborate on various projects as we share screens. One new feature I like is being able to change your background to an image or blurring it. Cons I almost always have issues with audio while using Webex. Pros I use it daily for work. I do like that there are different formats, you can have a conference call with one person, or with over 200 people. It has cool features like changing backgrounds, and adding emojis. I like that you can chat all in the same window. I like that you can share your screen. Cons I feel like the layout of it is very outdated and it tends to be very slow, and takes too long to open. There is an option to add emojis, however, I've tried tons of times, but it doesn't seem to pop up, and I don't even know when it pops out. The sound every time someone joins a call, it's pretty annoying, but I know there is a way of disabling it... I'll let you know when I find it! Pros You can talk to your entire team easily. Daily meetings can be scheduled that the users can join in directly using the software or even dial in from their phones. This is very convenient. You can easily have video conferences with your team members who are not in the same country as you. You can easily share a laptop screen and show it to everyone who is on the meeting, which is also very useful. When scheduling conference calls, training, or simply having a working session via phone it is very convenient to add the WebEx Link in the body of the invitation. You do not have to go into a separate platform to create the WebEx invitation. Cons The ease and quickness of understanding what each functionality does. The platform has a lot of functions, which is great; however, when you are short on time you do not always have the ability to learn how something works and the help tool is a little difficult to maneuver. It was not worth the cost to my company and I am happy we switched programs. Pros Webex allows for meetings to place internally within a company and with those outside the company. It has a video option and audio only options. Cons Webex is not reliable and my company had many problems when using this software. It had a tendency to not work, not connect, not share video or presentations when needed, and share presentations and videos with lag. It has a smaller bandwidth of users who can call into a meeting, the more participants we had on the call the more problems we had. I used this app for around 9 months and was able to successfully attend meeting and do video conferencing. Pros It is very easy to setup and install the software. You can easily create the meeting and share it with the participants. You get to use the demo system for free with some restriction on meeting timing. This one is cheaper than most other available platforms. Cons The features are really good and competing as compare to peers so nothing much to add to this category. The user interface can be improved. There are challenges if you have exited and then want to reconnect to the same meeting.
