I use it multiple times a week to conduct webinars with my students. Pros The ability to seamlessly have hundreds of attendees on the call and yet not have bandwidth issues. We use it in combination with Cisco Teams but the two product are not really well integrated so sometimes is very confusing. Pros Being a such famous software most of the people invited to a meeting knows how to use it. Chrome plugin integrated with Google Calendar is essential. Cons The setup is extremely difficult, there are tons of options rarely necessary and the administration learning curve is very long. Review Source Tina D. Pros Like how it was integrated with company email making easy to setup meetings with coworkers, and outside customers or clients. Cons It was limited. International Student Advisor Education Management Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great for Virtual Conferences" April 19, 2021 5.0 Pros I liked that we could host all of our conference session links in one site, and there was also a networking aspect where people could add each other to get their contact information. I liked that it was password protected. It was great that it is so customizable to add external links too, so we used wonder.me to link out to a "conference lounge" for example. Cons The agenda is per day, for a multi-day conference this wasn't the best, but we added a separate section with the whole conference agenda at-a-glance. It was also too bad we couldn't live stream Zoom, but we could have through YouTube and it was fine without livestreaming anything. The set-up was also not the most user-friendly. There was no way to preview the web client look, only the app, and most of our users did not use the actual app. But once we got the hang of it, it was fine. Connections are solid. Cons It has been buggy. It keeps prioritizing the Webex window and popping on top of other windows. Menus aren't totally intutive. Pros Webex Meetings allows us to have team members and outside contacts all actively part of a meeting, seeing the same screen and sharing their thoughts, without having to book a conference room or fly halfway across the country. Any member can take over control of the screen, giving great hands-on training opportunities. Cons When a meeting leaders requires that the audio discussion happens over the phone, everyone needs to comply even if their computer has full audio access. We have had times when employees have logged in using their computer audio, and though they could hear everything, the other participants could not hear them until they called on on the phone line. I would recommend this software for this reason. It’s necessary to need a simple solution when you’re already concerned about how well your presentation will go and if you are going to have enough participants. Pros It’s fairly simple to set up a webinar with WebEx. What I like most about this software is the ease of set up and recording for all of your webinars. The recording can be set to automatic or manual and shows post webinar for you and possibly to automatically send to all who registered or attended your event. Cons Allowing individuals in your conference to speak has to be done at the individual user level only if they can put an audio pin. It’s difficult to conduct webinars where do you want open communication forums or frequently asked questions at the end when you have an excess amount of attendees who do not enter the audio of him. It seemed to be very confusing at first (specially a meeting scheduling process), but it is becoming better the more you use it. Whenever you record your meeting sessions, the system takes a while to make the recording available to you, so for a while, you are staying unaware of whether the recording actually went through. But other that that the software serves its purpose. Pros \- ability to record meetings - ability to video conference with multiple people - I personally found a meeting creation process to be confusing and complicated (if you compare it with other conferencing tools) Cons \- sharing content isn't an option - after the video is recorded, it take s a while for the system to process it and make it available to you - password protected meetings - 12 hours limit on a meeting length Review Source CP Chelsea P. For virtual teams, it's a great way to stay connected visually as well. Pros Webex is fairly easy to use. I often rely on the ability to set up a personal room without needing to schedule a meeting. I also find that it's more reliable than other meeting vendors I use (Zoom, RingCentral, BlueJeans, Skype, etc). Cons I don't like Webex to run webinars or events - there are usually issues with the dial in, and sometimes we've run into awkward scenarios where one person is talking and it's really difficult to find them among the attendees. This is partly user error, but it happens enough that I wish there were better guardrails. I did not have a significant problem with it. I mostly used it to meet with my dealers, colleagues in different locations & countries. Pros A nice way to meet online. You can use web tool or desktop tool. Both are ok. If you don't have desktop tool installed on your device, you can use web tool. Sharing your screen is fast enough. I rarely encountered slow or lagged sharings. Cons The only thing maybe is the continuous change in the software usage, i.e. button locations. Pros The recent upgrades to webex meetings has made connecting to customers much easier and quicker. Integration with webex teams finally seems to have gelled and now it is a coherent platform that anyone (not just programmers) can use. Audio problems with my microphone seem like they're easier to fix now, doesn't require restarting entire sound subsystem in Windows. Cons Sound quality from people farther a way is distinctly different. I can tell when I'm talking to someone in my office vs. someone on another coast. Pros I like all of the features that are available while you are on a call. We initially purchased the software because it allows you to use screen share really easily which allows us to have a cohesive conversation about digital campaigns because we are all viewing the same information/screen. We initially started using this software because one of our partners would use it to screenshare with us and it was really efficient. There is also a chat feature that is useful for sending links and notes. I don't use the agenda feature here because we share that ahead of time in Google Docs so it is editable, but I can imagine that would be helpful too. Cons The thing I like least is the quality of the connection. We do not have the fastest internet and occasionally there is a lag. I usually remedy this by turning off the video feature and using the audio call in. The other downside is that first time users are often confused by the computer dial in for audio- it is the feature I most often have to walk new clients through on our first WebEx call. Pros I came to know about Webex in 2019 when I had interview and they sent me link via mail .Later I realized most big firm use it frequently .It's more safe to use .You can literally joined from anywhere even from your personal mobile using Webex apps.It also supports features like screen sharing,meeting recording .Easy to share documents. Cons Sometimes it lag while switching to other application.Needs more improvement with the design and template .Average video and audio quality.It also lacks the virtual background.It's complex to use for beginners . It is globally used software and synchronous with outlook calender. So I highly recommend it if you do not use it. Pros Annotate feature saves my meetings! When we are at technical meetings, annotate features helps us to show what we want to explain to each other. Secondly it is synchronous with outlook and you can add your meetings to your calender. There are many other helpful tools like see who is talking or share your screen. Cons When software takes updates i can not adapted to use it again because developers might change useful tools location to another folder. Nobody could find share screen tool at a meeting after it took updates.
