When it's not being upgraded every other week and doesn't require you to sign in as a guest to a meeting that you created it's pretty easy to use. Pros Convenience when it works and when it's not being upgraded every other week. Cons constant upgrades, long load times, or not loading at all. Occasionally we have phantom attendees on meetings. July 17, 2019 5.0 Pros We have tried many different video conferencing and collaboration tools and many either lack features or are to clunky and not very intuitive to the average user. The WebEx interface delivers a balance of user friendliness but doesn't sacrifices features or functionality. Many other solutions skew one way or the other. Cons This is not an issue that is unique to WebEx, but when you're in the SMB space, the pricing can get on the expensive side depending on how many users you have. The smaller business tiers don't meet the needs, the enterprise tiers are way above price point and you end up having to share licenses to not incur such a heavy expense for video conferencing which may be included in another VOIP or Officd365 solution. But software like Webex has found a way to bring higher ups and o-workers together. This allows everyone to be on the same page! when new ideas need to be presented Webex even allows for various spaces to be created. Pros It allows for almost every employee at my company to be connected. But also allows me to set boundaries with various features like the availability status! I think it would be best for online classes. Pros Simply design and streamlined in function as a user. The host of meetings on it has control to mute, unmute and share screens or cameras of others if they approve, maybe a few more functions I don't know about. Works well when one person is doing most of the talking. Cons Resolution is not the greatest for live video. Slide and pictures are alright. Also had a tendency of dropping out on occasion but never was consistent enough to look for a solution more of an inconvenience. Review Source Carol H. September 24, 2019 5.0 My weekly meetings are on Cisco Webex Meetings and are personal as well as professional. Pros I am able to see the people at my meetings. I am able to share and the application automatically focuses on whoever is talking at that moment. Everyone has the ability to control their functions (mute, zoom, etc). This application has an icon that is in your Outlook or email screen and you can simply click on the icon and start a meeting. No "set-up" required. Cons If I have a large audience, this is not the software to use. The system's microphones are very sensitive and pick up every sound in the room. In my experience, it is amazing how it always provides a steady stream of connection with our network. I only saw this because after using and comparing other conference tools, it seemed to be the most reliable and constant. I also liked how easy it was to navigate and use the tool. There was very little training and I picked it up very easily! Cons The only thing I dislike about this software is how it isn't easily integrated with our other company software tools. It’s easy to log on and add it to your meetings. You can even select meet now and send it out to someone and start it immediately. Pros It allows you to meet with large groups of people in different rooms/states/countries easily. You can share your screen. You can give someone else control of what is being displayed, basically they can share their screen. You can add it to meetings in advance. Cons If you close the Webex your call drops/closes also. We can have unlimited participants and it was quick to schedule meetings. When team members did not have video camera they have a call in number and can join from anywhere. Cons It did not update it features as Zoom or Microsoft teams. The pricing was expensive and also marketing was not as competitive as others. Pros I liked that once you know how to set up a call it's pretty easy to go into it and call using your phone or the system itself. I like that you can share your screen easily and can use a blank sheet to draw illustration on it as needed. Cons Our set up, or maybe webex as a whole, is not at all efficient for large group calls of over 40+ and fails to provide a smooth experience for presenters that are trying to mute audience members in the call. I also used WebEx to teach online. While my grad school still uses WebEx, my place of employment has moved on to Microsoft teams. I found WebEx easy to use, but boring. To me, WebEx is for those who have been loyal to the platform for many years, who just have no reason to need to switch over to something more modern. Pros WebEx is simple, which makes it pretty easy to navigate, even if you have never used the platform before. It is your standard web conferencing software that allows you to converse, present, and share screens with others. Cons Although it gets the job done, WebEx lacks the novelty that it’s competitors possess. There is just simply a sheer lack of the number of features that Zoom, Teams, or Hangouts possesses. WebEx is like Skype, useful, but it feels obsolete.
