Pros In Webex cloud feature is really good, we can do distance video conferencing for long times, this App is free, session recording is also a great feature. I am a user of zoom and Webex both and I find Webex to be much more easy to use. However their current release has killed my love for Webex somewhat, mainly because now you need to store the number to call yourself and it’s hard when you are in different rooms. I do like the app on the phone for Webex a lot, and call quality and video quality is very good. Pros 1.Webex recording 2. Navigation (in the older versions) 3. Quality of call 4. It greatly facilitates our professional life, and allows us to have a much more organized management method, being much more productive in this way. Pros I really enjoy using this software, I use it every day at my job to have meetings with the people I work with all over the world. It's a very good system in terms of communication and in terms of integration with Windows too, since I get all the alerts in my email as well as the invitations. Like I mentioned, comparable to other services. There is no need to move to different provider. Pros WebEx is fairly consistent. There are some lags here and there but as we are vastly working from home, I'm certain that has some effect. My clients easily meet me in my room, using my dedicated link. I have the capability to record my calls. Sharing is easy and pretty comparable to other platforms like zoom, Google meets, etc. Cons This last update eliminated the ability for WebEx to call me when starting the call. Pros Having tried lot of meeting tools, webex is more stable when compare to the other options available.Clarity of call is good and call drop is very minimal ( Of-course network dependency ). Switching the presenter back and fourth during product demo is handy. Cons Sometime I use Linux based system (Ubuntu / CentOS) for product demo / presentation. During that time i faced some issue while starting the meeting. Sometime its not responding in chrome/firefox. It is not as smooth as windows environment. The software won't leave you in the lurch and won't embarrass you. Cons It should go ahead with the times. Most of the companies don't require a browser plugin to be installed to view on laptop. However Cisco WebEx still wants you to download and install a plugin. It kind of spoils our numbers of registrations when conducting a webinar. Pros We use Cisco WebEx for daily office needs. The hosts of the meeting can record audio and on screen presentations. All participants can use the chat feature. At the time of the meeting, the host has the option to share desktop, a file or video. Virtual whiteboard feature for sketches and notes is also available. All the features can be used simultaneously with the video. The hosts can protect the meetings with a password. When compared to other similar services video conferencing has many advanced features and seamless. Mobile apps are available for Android, iOS, Blackberry, Windows Phone, Apple watch and other android wearables. Microsoft outlook plugin is available to schedule meetings from outlook directly. Cons For the audio connection, one can use WebEx audio (VoIP), another teleconference service, or none. Cisco WebEx Meeting Center doesn't offer its own dial-in conferencing. If one want to use another teleconference service, one can input the dial-in number, moderator, and participant codes, and any notes one would like to include; all of these will then be displayed in the invitation. You can join the meeting by signing in with your computer or by giving a phone call. Pros I most that I like about the software is the quality that it has. I can hear the people very clear and with no delays or with a noisy background. I used it more to share my presentation to my team and I can join multiple people in the same meeting. Moreover, I can be hearing the meeting without the need of a computer. The software tell you where to call and you are in. This is very useful in case that you don't have your computer near by. Cons The only downside is that the voice quality when you are using the conference phone or your personal phone is not too good. If I am using the computer, the quality is great! Instead of having the issue described to me, the customer can show me exactly what they are doing and what they can see so the speed and efficiency that allows for results in problems being solved in a fraction of the time and better presicion and we are both on the same page the whole time. Pros It allows you to see exactly what the customer sees when you're trying to help troubleshoot any issue or for setting up our products. The feature that allows you to request control and work remotely on the customers system saves invaluable time as opposed to instructing them what to do each step of the way. It is really easy to use and feature rich. Any meeting type that you are looking to conduct, WebEx can support it. You can do polls and questions to engage your audience. You can track attendance and see how responsive people are to make sure people are paying attention. Video and audio quality are the best that you can get. Cons I am not a big fan of the price at the enterprise level. I also do not like having to download ActiveX controls or other items just to run the software, as this is a security issue. Pros I like the robustness of the platform and the (usually) good call quality. I like the recording ability and that we can have 25 attendees on a conference. Cons Support is terrible! Has never resolved a problem. Sales is terrible! Sometimes takes 2 weeks to add a new user. Deployment is haphazard. Admin console is hard to navigate, unforgiving, and frequently loses settings. International support is very difficult for multi-national companies. Sound and microphone are hard to setup. Mac's are well behind PC's in support (sometimes taking weeks to support the latest MacOS). Everyone misses the "connect to audio" selection after connection and so are usually sitting as voiceless attendees in a meeting; this could/should be much easier ... Review Source MS Meagan S. It was easy to set up and enter the call with a link sent to me! Pros I liked that it was easy to chat with others in real time. it was set up so that the main speaker could do breakout groups and we were in smaller groups too. There are many features like screen sharing that helps me teach them daily. Cons I do not like that teachers do not have as much control of features for students when using WebEx. There are times students do not mute and it is difficult to get them to mute even when they are requested to mute. August 22, 2018 3.0 Webex allows me to collaborate with my teammates remotely. However, there are several small annoyances that prevent me from loving the software. Pros Webex allows me and my coworkers to meet remotely and share information. This is especially helpful when working with team members in other countries. Webex integration into third part applications such as Microsoft Office, makes it easy to quickly share a document with someone. Cons Webex can be very buggy. Often times users will not be able to get into the meeting without starting a new instance. Also, it can be slow as compared to other virtual meeting rooms such as google hangouts. Minor annoyances are present, such as not being able to cancel a meeting that you did not set up. If a person leaves a company, you can have several meeting notices left over that no one can cancel. Cons I suffered the occasional connectivity issues and audio/video lag during meetings, especially when multiple users joins from different locations. Probably has something to do with the varying internet speeds.
