I haven't had many problems with video or sound quality (which in an online screenshare or meeting, you don't want to have these problems). Cons The few times I've used it for a larger group, it tends to slow down but luckily most of my meetings are with two or three other individuals. Also sometimes the file sharing doesn't work as intended but other that this, I still think WebEx is a great app for our business. Review Source AB Adriana B. I used it for a long time, but only until I discovered there were better alternatives. I think the only reason they're still around is because the product is under the Cisco umbrella. I don't believe the product is viable enough to stand on its own. Pros I like that the application is all in one window. Whether using the whiteboard, viewing a document, or sharing screens, it all happens in the main window. Cons After Webex was acquired by Cisco, development really seemed to slow down. The process of joining the meeting audio is confusing, and it seems to require a very strong internet connection to work well. The coolest feature is passing keyboard and mouse control. If you make someone presented, you can request to take control of their keyboard and mouse! Also if you are presenting, you can give others control. It works wonders for troubleshooting, training, etc... especially if you're not in IT. Cons Limited options in the chat tools. Cons WIsh they would have had the AI captioning integration sooner - this type of functionality is a real must in Government environment but glad it's coming soon. I had changed it's face a lot since then. Each time how ever, Cisco had made vast improvements. We use the Web Conference function the must and have been able to bring together a workforce that spans the world. We talked with clients in India and have had no issue with performance. Cons The calendar function was one of my least favorite parts. But with the latest update they fixed the issue I was having. It works, doesn't give us too many headaches anymore. Pros It was a market leader years ago, so many people know how to use it and IT teams know how to allow it to get through network. Cons There are a lot of other softwares that many people have (Such as Teams) that has so many new features. Zoom is also a big player, I'm not a huge fan of Zoon either. It includes better options to integrate the meeting, information and the presentation. Sound never freezes compared to webex. I think the system looks old and needs a couple of upgrgades Pros Its a really good tool for online meetings. I have been using it for almost 2 years for my online meetings and right now for COVID purposes with online classes. i like the system but it can be really complicated. You need a host to make it available wicch complicates it a little bit when you have to create a new class quickly. The system tends to fall a little bit on time. Soundlags a little bit and the system freezes normaly. It dowa accept any type of system wich is good, and has many editing options, like a witeboard. I do think TEAMS interface from Microsoft is easier, faster, more user integrated and far good better Cons Audio tends to lag, the interface seems old, the chat space is little and crowded and the audio freezes from time to time. In meeting controls are very easy to use. Any attendee can share screens and host the meeting. Standard dashboard controls are easy to find and the in-meeting user experience is very friendly. Pros The O365 / Outlook plugin is extremely helpful in adding WebEx meetings to Calendar invitations. Recording meetings and sharing the recordings is also easy and vital. Connections are constantly clear and high in quality. Pros We use Webex Events for our weekly team meeting to communicate with the team at office and the team working remotely. The video conferencing feature is by far my favourite as the quality is great and connects seamlessly. The benefit is a tech partner who has become an extended part of our team. Pros The Socio Restream broadcast studio made the most impact. It makes it easy to record speaker sessions and run an entire event that looks and feels professional. Cons Because speakers are so used to Zoom, adding a virtual background while presenting would be good. Currently, this isn't possible. Integrating Mailchimp so that once a person registers, they get added to the email list would make Socio more helpful. Reason for choosing Webex Suite We chose Socio because of the technology, Customer Service Managers, and the online ask us anything chat support. I don´t feel my team and I are in different places using Cisco. It allows me to interact with them in a more easy way, has collaborative meetings has helped my team to give better results. Pros Is really easy to use and set-up. It allows me to have a meeting with all my team around the world. It´s a really complete platform for big and small companies. The image and the sound are really clear. Sharing screen is really easy, and I can connect from any device in which I have the software (desktop, mobile, tablet...) so I can have collaborative meetings with members of my team that are in other countries without any problem. Cons It´s paid. It worth the price, but is an investment you have to do and not all companies have that possibility. If you want to have a conference with an outside member of your team, they need to install the software. It´s easy and quick to do but sometimes is not friendly for the other person. Pros This software give you the availibilty to work together with partner but also internal employees that are not available for personal meetings (due to Covid 19 or because they are at a different location. Cons Sometime the installation of the Ad-hoc meeting addin is a bit of a paint. Not allways you can connect in time. Sometimes you have to reconnect to get a propper sound connection to everyone.
