We looked, tight, professional, and innovative. Socio has awesome chat tech functionality and its online resources are second to none. Pros As a small non-profit without an IT department, we were able to develop, integrate, launch and succeed a Virtual Conference Preview for 350 attendees. Cons I was surprised by the lack of interest in the gaming aspect. It could just be our demographic though. Reason for choosing Webex Suite As a client, you get to participate in their produced events and their content focuses on how to make your event easier. You now only get the benefit of seeing what your end-user will see, you also get to learn how to do your job better. We have an aged membership and I was thrilled to see minimal barriers of use. It helps me to carry out surveys with clients remotely, without having to travel to the client's office with its corresponding cost, even, it allows me to work from home and participate in work meetings without any inconvenience. Pros Cisco Webex Meetings is an excellent tool for virtual meetings, no matter where we are and that the user experience really is to be in a face-to-face meeting. Because we not only have a meeting with audio and video, but we also have many collaboration options, such as screen sharing, sharing a white board so everyone can write and draw at the same time, give or ask for control of the other device, etc. Cons There are not many cons to mention. Only that access to some functions such as asking for control of the other device or access to the white board is not so easy to find. High quality video and audio as it is integrated with Cisco microphones products Run on LInux which is a big plus for researchers Zero firewall configuration needed Cons While Cisco WebEx ticks all the boxes, the UX needs many improvements. - The transition from Web to mobile meeting, e.g., meeting while driving is limited. - No option to remove or blur background - No option for touch up interfaces - No option for selecting data centers for hosting meetings, e.g., in China or in US - No mention of security features other than encryption basic. Pros Skype has been a long time buddy for most of us for internal communication within our organization. I am using WebEx business since long time and I am very much satisfied with it. Easy to use, user friendly,nice GUI that make Skype a high line product. Cons Nothing much to say here, just a newer version is little bit changed the way of its features. Earlier it was easy to view profile of any person in your org and also was possible to view his colleagues but now in new version its been removed and I didn't liked that. Had a great experience!" May 9, 2018 5.0 Everything I need for a perfect online meeting and collaboration! Pros I use webex meetings frequently and it is the tool on which I rely heavily upon for my routine meetings with my client. It provides everything when you want to talk about a project and want to understand or share anything. Screen sharing feature is excellent and you can see everything what the presentor is presenting on his/her screen. You can even share files, talk chat and everything. And this is not all. All the team members can collectively chat at a single window! Wow! Cons It needs high speed of the internet and therefore stops until the speed of the internet is fast. I suggest them to optimize the application for low speed internet also. Also the different windows can be given more features using higher GUI design techniques. October 26, 2019 4.0 Overall, we have liked this application. Using some other options in the past, this one has been at the top of preference for us. Pros The Webex's are super easy to use and create. We've never run into issues on setting the meetings up on a creator's side or from a user joining the meeting side. I might choose other products MS Teams or Zoom over Webex but it will always be a reliable product I can always depend on. Pros Most of our corporate meetings were held through Webex and it certainly did the job. I'm not sure about the pricing as I was just a user, but we used to have around 15 people usually attending at any given instance. Cons I would usually demo our software products using Webex and noticed there would always be a lag or a delay for those watching my screen. WebEx helps us be in touch with entire Team and also with Stack holders and end users. Pros WebEx is a great tool to communicate with people around the globe. The feature I like the most is the white board where I am able to draw diagrams to explain it to other people. It is available in mobile as well, with a very convenient application. Recording the meeting is also a feature that comes in handy a lot. Interesting thing about new UI is icons for Computer and IP Phone call in has been changed. Cons New UI of webex is attractive but the UX is little bit complex. it was hard to figure out some stuff in initially as I was comfortable with old UI. I find it highly effective, even in global meetings. I effectively work with people in India, China, Japan, Europe, South America and Africa. Pros It is pretty much plug and play (we are integrated with Microsoft Outlook) - I click to arrange a meeting, follow the link to begin/join the meeting. Cons The audio can be a struggle - many times the audio quality over the computer connection is poor quality. This may be partially due to the hardware, but we use pretty high quality hardware at my company. It has all the features you need from the desktop app without any limitations which is very useful as you take the meeting on the road. The elimination of travel and being able to execute meetings on demand is perfect for the modern workplace. I will continue to use this program in the future and recommend it to other users. Pros My favorite part of the program is it eliminates the possibility of having to travel to a meeting. It allows for interactive meetings in real time from remote destinations. In the modern day of the internet, you cannot beat this software to use for your meetings. Cons The thing i dislike about the software is the functionality of people in a given meeting that have not used the software or lack computer skills. The ease of use for an inexperienced tech client can slow down the process and you can find yourself in a situation where a in-person meeting should have been scheduled. Use Zoom/Skype.. or even phone. Pros Connections are usually OK. User interface is OK. Video conferencing is now largely commoditised, and Webex has little to recommend above any other more modern app. Cons Webex forces a download and then sneakily becomes an autoload on my Mac. I do not want to use Webex day-in, day out. Forcing me to install it and then run it daily is a deceitful activity that makes me want to support GDPR. Indeed, our IT staffer has to spend an hour or two going through everyones computer uninstalling this. We only use Webex because one of our customers has this as a 'corporate standard'. Actually the team hate Webex so much that we are considering a condition in our TOS that we will not host any meeting in Webex (and interestingly, the staff at our customer seem to be in agreement). You cannot record any video conferences you might have in HD. The highest they offer is 720 I believe and when you're having to share anything with text on it, it'll appear blurry and bad.
