Risk Management Specialist Financial Services Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Webex Used for CPE Webinars" February 10, 2021 5.0 Webex has been a great tool for allowing my to continue to obtain education credits while working remotely. It is easy and efficient to use. Pros I have used Webex to participate in webinars for continuing professional education for two professional certifications that I have. In the past year in particular, as remote work has become critical, access to education remotely has been very important. Webex is very easy to use and I've been able to participate in all of the webinars that I would like, so there has been no gap in learning over the past year. Webex allows for polling questions so participants can be actively engaged in the learning. Cons Occasionally there may be a delay in speaker compared to slides or vice versa, and sometimes the poll questions are delayed in appearing, but all of this is very minor and overall there have been no problems. October 8, 2021 5.0 We have had the best experience with Socio for 2 years now and are looking to incorporate them into our in person conference. Pros This software is very user-friendly on both the front-end and back-end. While being easy to use it is also professional looking. We purchased their Orange Glove package and they were with us every step of the way from designing our event in the platform down to the final minute of the execution of the event. They helped us when we had questions and were always ready and willing to help us find a solution. Their customer service is impeccable. Cons The only thing we don't like is Zoom cannot be embedded into the platform but that is on Zoom's side and not Socio's. Reason for choosing Webex Suite Price played a huge part in this. We are a small association with a limited budget. Pros Well the only thing in which it beats zoom is security. As its not the product of china based company, we can say its definitely more secure than zoom. It got all the basic features that needs to be there for a online meeting app & it works fine too. It works fine in most of times. Cons Well its chrome extension get stuck sometime for me also take lots of time to load. The competition is very high in this segment, it should be smooth & fast with minimal features. You can share your camera and take notes about meeting at the same time. Cons If you use secure environment webex cannot pass the firewall. You need to give special permission to connect properly. Pros I always had clear video feeds on both ends (me seeing the team, the team viewing me). Additionally, sound quality always transmitted very clearly whether joining from mobile or desktop settings. Sharing documents was always a positive experience (in terms of presenting). Cons Call in options to join a WebEx were slow at best when compared to competitors. I call in -wait- confirm the meeting I am trying to join - wait - have to enter a meeting code - wait finally join. Yes, this is certainly preventing unwanted guests to the meeting room but there other methods to accomplish this feat. Switched from [Google Meet](https://www.capterra.com/p/176572/Google-Hangouts/) We were looking for a more reliable call quality (both for audio and visual) and it did deliver on those concerns; however, the cost was significantly higher and we didn't have the daily active user count to justify the spend on WebEx services and we ended up going back. Pros I have been using Webex for a long time for online meetings and video conferences. Webex is one of the easiest platforms for videoconferencing and the google chrome extension makes it very easy to join a meeting with just 1 simple click. There are many other great features such as recording available in Webex. Cons Webex is very good and stable on PC. However, sometimes I have connectivity issues and lags during the video calls. The support personnel on the phone was helpful in choosing a plan and the platform had all the features I required for my meetings. There was only a short learning curve because the software is really user friendly. Pros I was able to purchase a plan and deploy the platform in only a few hours. You can't do that with TEAMS. Cons I recommend using a conference phone as opposed to the PC microphone/speaker. If attendees in a room are speaking from different seating locations, a laptop microphone won't be efficient. I am able to more effectively vet potential candidates and provide my clients with a confident understanding of the talent that I send their way. Pros As a recruiter who covers the United States, I frequently need to conduct interviews with potential candidates. Many times, these meetings need to take place while acommodating different time zones either before or after business hours. Cisco's WebEx Meetings allows me to effectively schedule and manage my recruiting calendar with prospective candidates in a a way that is easy for both parties and provides a reliable line of communciation. Cons Sometimes there can be issues installing the software and accessing microphone and webcam capabilies; however, Cisco's Help guide provides a full troubleshooting section on such issues and these can quickly resolved with a few changes of user settings. Pros I've been in the IT business for more than 40 years smfd I've attended hundreds of webinars, web conferences & managed bridge web-calls and I find that Webex is one of the best/easiest interfaces to use. Cons I don't see our as a big issue, but Webex has issues with older browsers and OSs. I would like to see better backward compatibility. And the thing that I don't like at all is that every time that someone shares me a link to join a meeting its ask me to download a .exe or install a chrome plugin. Pros Webex is a great virtual tool that I have to use when meeting with some of my customers. The software makes it super easy to dial in if you do not want to log in with your computer audio. I've attended small and large meetings using the tool and have had great quality of video/audio in both scenarios. Cons Sometimes I like to go on mute but do not want to software to make a noise that notifies others. This may be something I can change in settings, but haven't learned if that is an option or not! I'm on a Webex meeting at least once a day, sometimes more often. Scheduling is easy in MS Outlook, and the quality of the call is much better than other platforms I've used (Skype or GotoMeeting). It is easy to switch presenters and share screens. There are times when connecting to audio has issues, but I don't blame that on Webex. Pros The quality of the the video and audio is excellent. Cons The controls change position when switching modes, making it difficult to find them.
