We went from managing our own proxy infrastructure and dealing with constant blocks to having a reliable, hands-off solution. It's not perfect—costs add up and the docs need work—but for our use case, it's worth it. We've been using it for about 3 months and would recommend it to anyone doing serious scraping at scale especially when using it wit Clay. Pros The rotating proxy system is a lifesaver. We were getting blocked constantly, and ZenRows handles it without extra configuration. Also appreciate the browser automation—saves us from maintaining our own infrastructure. Also, documentation could be clearer for some of the advanced features—took us a while to figure out optimal proxy rotation settings. We it to scrape various areas of the Internet and not only does it actually work but it's the fastest solution that we found. It's a pain to view and understand Pros I liked that zen rows made it super easy to implement when it came to the code Cons Analytics was a pain with zen rows and it's quite difficult to understand exactly how you are getting charged and how it's broken down. January 5, 2026 4.0 Basically great, and we will continue to use it for our application. Customers can specify websites whose data they want to receive in a structured format, and we then extract the data and take care of the process automation for them. Pros Easy to use, and even websites that are more difficult to scrape work as desired. We haven't used the other features yet, but will consider them as soon as we see a use case. Cons Currently, we are not even close to reaching the number of queries that would be possible, which means we are spending too much on the subscription. A smaller subscription would be ideal for us as a startup, or request-based pricing would be great. Depending on the website, the builder freezes and the page has to be reloaded, which is a bit tedious. While I like how easy to use they are, I would trade that any day for better accuracy on sites that require Captcha or have bot protection and more features. Even with their advanced and premium features, I still face a 2/3 success rate on some sites. I would also like to have them add some of their auto captcha features to their browser. Pros API is very easy to use. The Analytics window provides a good amount of info. Pricing is alright. I'm an experienced developer but wanted a simple solution that would abstract away some of the challenges around IP rotation etc. I looked into and tried a number of options (including e.g. Scrapfly) and found that ZenRows was by far the best and most reliable. The API responds fast and has a very high success rate vs other services I tried. Customer service has also been fantastic. Cons I ran into an issue at one stage where requests were either hanging/timing out or failing, but I raised it with their support and they resolved it almost instantly. Gave a lot of peace of mind. Their support of autoparsing popular scraped sites into json format is a huge time saver. Customer support has always been very responsive and they even implemented a feature request I had within a day. It's also very reliable for the sites that will easily block you if you don't use ZenRows. Cons I am worried about the autoparsing functionality they provide. If I understand correctly, they have to maintain parsing logic for a number of sites which means that if the sites change their html structure, it could be that the parsing logic fails. As long as there is a certain minimum threshold for reliably delivering this information and also fast fixes then I won't worry so much. Reason for choosing ZenRows Compared to data providers for the data we needed, ZenRows gives us the infrastructure to build out what we need internally instead of relying on data providers with stale data and extremely high prices (generally 1 year lock-in). It fits my needs and the evolution I have seen in all this time using it is always towards giving me more options. So my experience was great. I still use it for data extraction tasks and will continue to use it. Pros I'm a freelance data engineer and I used ZenRows for a few months now. I scraped a variety of platforms that implement antibots, mostly NFT and cryptocurrency, and some job application websites. With their API, my ETL pipeline runs like butter. Along with a high success rate, I never had to worry about bot prevention systems since their API also takes care of that. They provide a request builder which you can use to interactively build your API request URL. You can construct the request URL by specifying CSS selectors, it even provides an auto-parser, which automatically grabs the data and returns it in a JSON schema. Cons I used the Developer package and the package provided 10 concurrent threads. I was able to build optimized ETL pipelines for my clients but I don’t know if it’s enough for other developers.
