ps-biblio ist zumindest für kleinere Bibliotheken sehr gut für den Registrierungs- und Ausleihebedarf geeignet, die Alltags-Funktionalitäten sind intuitiv erfassbar. Guter Internetauftritt in Verknüpfung mit dem Programm biblino mit der Möglichkeit zu Click&Collect-Ausleihe. Preisgünstige Anschaffung und sehr guter Service bei Problemen.

Pros

Die Datenbank läuft seit Jahren stabil. Die Benutzeroberfläche ist einfach handhabbar und unkompliziert zu schulen (wichtig für ehrenamtlichen Mitarbeiter der Bücherei), jeder Mitarbeiter hat einen personalisierten Zugang. Mit dem an die Datenbank angebundenen Programm biblino kann ein Internetauftritt einfach und schnell gestaltet werden, über den auch eine Click&Collect-Ausleihe möglich wird. Regelmäßige automatische Datenbank-Backups (händisch bei Bedarf) sorgen für Datensicherung.

Cons

Statistikfunktionen sind noch zu optimieren: Gelöschte Bücher sind noch nicht direkt aus dem Programm abzurufen / Aussagen zum Status der von den Bücherei-Nutzern zu entrichtenden Gebühren sind nur über etwas kompliziertere Filtersetzungen zu erhalten.

Pros

Für diesen Preis habe ich bis heute kein vergleichbares Produkt gefunden. Es ist leicht zu installieren und benutzerfreundlich, wenn denn alle Funktionen eingerichtet sind. Hier hilft der Support zu Beginn problemlos. Alle wichtigen Funktionen sind verfügbar.

Cons

Leider funktionieren einige Features fehlerhaft oder gar nicht, bzw. sind so im alltäglichen Geschäft nicht sinnig. Der Support geht darauf nicht ein. Ein großer Punktabzug muss darauf gegeben werden, dass einige Funktionen nur über List&Label einzurichten sind. Wer kein Programmierer ist, ist hier verloren. Schade, denn dadurch können wir diese Funktionen z.B. nicht nutzen.

Schnelleres und einfacheres Arbeiten als mit den wesentlich teureren Vorgängerprogrammen.

Pros

Die Software lässt sich intuitiv bedienen und man hat ausgezeichneten Zugriff auf alle Datenbanken. Die Statistik am Jahresende funktioniert reibungslos. Auch das Suchen und Anzeigen in den Datenbanken funktioniert ohne Probleme.

Cons

Vereinfacht werden könnte die Bearbeitung von Formatvorlagen für Listen und Briefe. Außerdem fehlt noch ein Tool um Daten an den Verbundkatalog für Bibliotheken zu exportieren.(OEVK)

Wir haben eine kleine Bibliothek mit ehrenamtlichen Kräften. Mit ps-biblio haben wir ein einfaches aber sehr gutes Werkzeug für die Struktur gefunden, das auch in seiner Handhabung sehr gut auf die notwendigen Bedürfnisse abgestimmt ist.

Pros

Sehr gutes einfach zu handhabendes Produkt. Leichte Installation und Gesamthandhabung. Alles drin was eine Bibliothek braucht.

Cons

Rund um zufrieden mit dem Programm, ab und zu ein paar Schwachpunkte bei dem Mahnungswesen.

Ich arbeite sehr gerne mit dem PS Biblio und für unsere Bedürfnisse als Schulbibliothek ist es bestens geeignet.

Pros

Wenn man nur ausleiht und zurück bucht ist es sehr einfach in der Anwendung. Ist der Mahnassistent einmal richtig eingerichtet, ist es eine große, zeitsparende und Erleichterung.

Cons

Die Recherche ist schwierig und umständlich. Es ist fast unmöglich etwas zu finden, wenn man nicht den genauen Titel oder Autorennamen eingibt. Auch den Mahnassistenten einzurichten ist ohne Entwicklerkenntnisse sehr schwer. Außerdem würde ich eine Statistik begrüßen, welche mir die täglichen, wöchentlichen oder monatlichen Ausleihen und Ausleiher richtig anzeigt, begrüßen.

Die Software ist seit 2009 in unserer Bücherei im Einsatz und erleichtert die Arbeit.

Pros

Unser Verein betreibt ehrenamtlich eine Bücherei mit einem Bestand von ca. 15.000 Medien. Handhabung für Ausleihe und Bucherfassung übersichtlich und einfach. Auch die Inventurerfassung ist praktikabel.

Cons

Es gibt keine zu erwähnenden Nachteile beim Einsatz der Software.

Wir haben eine Bibliothek, die mit Selbstausleihe funktioniert. Das bedeutet, dass alle Nutzer das Programm ps-biblio selbstständig zur Ausleihe und Rückgabe der Medien nutzen müssen und dazu nur eine kurze Einfürhung bekommen. Das Programm ist selbsterklärend und intuitiv nutzbar. Das ist ein großer Vorteil.

Persönlicher Kontakt und schneller und unkomplizierter Service.

Cons

Es gab trotz aller Bemühungen des Nutzerservices einige Probleme bei der Übertragung der alten Datenbank des vorherigen Produkt auf ps-biblio.
