Overall, I've started using TikTok exclusively for work and It's immediately clear the potential it has. It takes time and dedication to produce content and understand what works and what doesn't. It's an amazing tool or organic growth, if done correctly. Beware, it's easy to get distracted into doomscrolling while you work.

Pros

It's a great tool to use for business, to grow your business. It requires lots of commitment and basic skills, but the rewards of organic growth are by far the best. The best thing is that it's free. You can start, experiment, understand what works and go viral for free. Great for B2C mostly, but also B2B if done in the correct way

Cons

It takes a little bit of learning to understand what works and what not. If you're a professional, sometimes you have to tone down the level of communication by way more than you'd expect. Virality trends are always changing and you need to "scroll" a lot to see what works and what sticks. Easy to waste time by blending work and entertainment

Overall it's great. I like using it a lot and find the videos to be more authentic that YouTube videos

Pros

The videos are short. I'm very impatient so don't like watching really long videos especially when they spend the first 5 min telling me to subscribe and like their videos

Cons

Sometimes the videos say they're going to tell me something but the video ends without them getting to what they were going to tell me.

TikTok was a great place dissociate and disconnect from the world around me, learning about atrocities one second and seeing the most unhinged meme the next. It is emotional whiplash and it was unhealthy for me to use - I am glad I left.

Pros

I loved doom-scrolling on it, and commenting on/interacting with various kinds of content and people, and sending throngs of videos to my friends and family.

Cons

I hate that it took away my attention span, that it is essentially Coco Melon for adults. I despise that it runs on hate, that there are "sides" of TikTok that are just dogwhistles and nazis, and that they coexist on the same platform that queer people do. I hate that they shadowban people speaking against injustice, or people of color just for being people of color, or the same for queer content creators. I hate that they can revoke accounts at the tip of a hat, for no reason.

Overall, it’s great and definitely worth experiencing.

Pros

The algorithm is smart – it knows exactly what I want to watch and always prioritizes videos of that type. Especially trending, humorous videos or topics that people are interested in – I get to see them all. Most importantly, I also create videos and have made some money from TikTok. It’s not much, but it’s enough to make me happy

Cons

When I add a shopping cart to my video, it gets fewer views. But if I don’t attach a cart, the views are much higher. I don’t understand why

I think it is fantastic to have this product for people to share their life with you. To make money with this app, it is really so effortless. I love the way I can engage my audience in such a beautiful way through live telecom or via the comment section of my video post. Application is so friendly and its features are mind-blowing. Literally, the most euphoria I get from using this app is having a video supervisor who does an outstanding highlight reel. I encourage people; take advantage of the stage and be gutsy, to really use it for the growth of your endeavors.

Cons

The main problem with TikTok is that it takes so much of the daytime! really hard to stop using it. Sometimes a whole video is created, but if I don't like the first part I have no ability to change it, I have to recreate the whole video. It's hard to make custom edits in the app.
