What I like most about TikTok is how quickly I can find entertaining and engaging videos on almost any topic, from trends and challenges to news, comedy, and things I’m personally interested in. The algorithm does a good job of showing me content I actually enjoy, and it’s easy to just keep scrolling and discover new creators and ideas.

Cons

What I like least is that it can be very addictive and time-consuming. Sometimes the content feels repetitive, and not everything I see is accurate or well-researched. There’s also a lot of misinformation and trends that can be misleading, and it can be hard to step away once I start scrolling.

It works well for engaging the audience, especially our younger target group with our radio campaigns. While it is easy to use, it has a few problems, such as bugs and team collaboration options. The customization options are decent but still can be better geared towards creativity folks like we are in the field of. It may be somewhat unusual, but it has a great marketing value.

Pros

TikTok has proven to be a wonderful platform for creating the best engagement among the younger ones. I have seen how creatives can use them as an Account Executive to drive campaigns for local artists and events and the trending audio tools are hugely useful in attracting attention. The fact that you can tailor content to target individual audiences is particularly useful for radio promotions. Its analytics are not too bad for providing an insight into the performance trends.

Cons

Without reliable screen sharing, it's more difficult to work collaboratively with colleagues on video drafts or campaign ideas. There are times that bugs arise particularly when you upload content, especially longer video formats, and customer support aren't always quick to respond to problems. Also better thought out music rights management would be a welcome addition reflecting our interest in the broadcast business.

Overall, I've started using TikTok exclusively for work and It's immediately clear the potential it has. It takes time and dedication to produce content and understand what works and what doesn't. It's an amazing tool or organic growth, if done correctly. Beware, it's easy to get distracted into doomscrolling while you work.

Pros

It's a great tool to use for business, to grow your business. It requires lots of commitment and basic skills, but the rewards of organic growth are by far the best. The best thing is that it's free. You can start, experiment, understand what works and go viral for free. Great for B2C mostly, but also B2B if done in the correct way

Cons

It takes a little bit of learning to understand what works and what not. If you're a professional, sometimes you have to tone down the level of communication by way more than you'd expect. Virality trends are always changing and you need to "scroll" a lot to see what works and what sticks. Easy to waste time by blending work and entertainment

Some times i miss a video because i refresh the app by mistake, but the good part is that i can search it directly

Overall I love TikTok and I will always use it, I have been a user of TikTok before it was even called TikTok! I have always loved this app and I will always love it. I never have any issues with it and I use it pretty much every single day!

Pros

I like that you can view all kinds of different videos and from all around the world. I think that TikTok has an amazing value for money as well as customer support, and I never have any issues or bugs with it. It is very easy to use and you can customize it however you want. Great music and audio and you can make your own sounds as well. Screen sharing is also super easy to do!

Cons

The only con that I have with TikTok personally is that there are so many sponsored videos on my feed, which I do not love, but I can just scroll past them and it is no big deal at all!

What I like most about Tiktok is how it is providing an opportunity for creators to make money out of the platform by showcasing their talent. Moreover, I like how their algorithm is designed - if people like your video, it goes viral overnight, doesn't take long to hit 1M in views. Insane!

Cons

From a creator perspective, I wish Tiktok start rolling out Tiktok Creator funds program to more and more countries. I think right now it is limited to 4-5 countries only. That way, it could get more and more quality creators join the platform.

I started using TikTok just for entertainment, but the more I used it, the more I realized how smart the algorithm is. It quickly figured out the type of content I like – from funny videos and trending topics to what the community is currently interested in – and recommended them with impressive accuracy. Overall, it’s great and definitely worth experiencing.

Pros

The algorithm is smart – it knows exactly what I want to watch and always prioritizes videos of that type. Especially trending, humorous videos or topics that people are interested in – I get to see them all. Most importantly, I also create videos and have made some money from TikTok. It’s not much, but it’s enough to make me happy

Cons

When I add a shopping cart to my video, it gets fewer views. But if I don’t attach a cart, the views are much higher. I don’t understand why

It has been pleasant. It has made me laugh, cry and smile all while I needed and I get to scroll past if its something that does not feel right for me. I get to choose and have choice.

Pros

The range of videos. I can watch happy, sad, silly videos. There is a video for any mood I am in. I can also shop and purchase things.

Cons

Probably some of the ads. They are just annoying and get in my way. Also sometimes the live screen scolling annoys me because you have to scroll all the way out of it to get outta the "live" section of tik tok

TikTok was a great place dissociate and disconnect from the world around me, learning about atrocities one second and seeing the most unhinged meme the next. It is emotional whiplash and it was unhealthy for me to use - I am glad I left.

Pros

I loved doom-scrolling on it, and commenting on/interacting with various kinds of content and people, and sending throngs of videos to my friends and family.

Cons

I hate that it took away my attention span, that it is essentially Coco Melon for adults. I despise that it runs on hate, that there are "sides" of TikTok that are just dogwhistles and nazis, and that they coexist on the same platform that queer people do. I hate that they shadowban people speaking against injustice, or people of color just for being people of color, or the same for queer content creators. I hate that they can revoke accounts at the tip of a hat, for no reason.

This is my favourite app ever it’s so fun to create videos and also to watch other people’s videos I love that you can also shop for products on there and also get some brilliant discounts on things I want to buy I could sit on this app all day and never get bored !

I created an account for my business and when I changed my username, somehow it made the change BUT also kept my old username so now I’ve got 2 usernames and the wrong one is showing up on my account! I’ve been trying to fix it for OVER A YEAR and keep getting the same canned email responses if I submit a ticket through the app or email their feedback address (which is a canned response directing me to the ticket in app option). I’ve done this 50 something times and still no resolve. I really want to use TikTok for my small business but they aren’t allowing me the time of day when trying to fix this very important part.

Pros

It’s a great platform for products to sell on

Their customer service is terrible and doesn’t actually help

Very positive experience not only from a consumer perspective but also as a social media manager. It’s so simple to be optimized for SEO especially because I know the algorithm is made to push out content for that purpose.

Pros

Tiktok is not only an entertaining app, but it’s also so convenient! I love all the features, especially the search as it is optimized to display tiktoks related to one’s search. This feature is lacking in almost all other social apps.

Cons

No complaints here! One thing I might change is to display more tiktoks of the people I am following to show up on my feed. That way I can stay up to date with their content more conveniently.
