I have always loved this app and I will always love it. I never have any issues with it and I use it pretty much every single day! Pros I like that you can view all kinds of different videos and from all around the world. I think that TikTok has an amazing value for money as well as customer support, and I never have any issues or bugs with it. It is very easy to use and you can customize it however you want. Great music and audio and you can make your own sounds as well. Screen sharing is also super easy to do! Cons The only con that I have with TikTok personally is that there are so many sponsored videos on my feed, which I do not love, but I can just scroll past them and it is no big deal at all! It is emotional whiplash and it was unhealthy for me to use - I am glad I left. Pros I loved doom-scrolling on it, and commenting on/interacting with various kinds of content and people, and sending throngs of videos to my friends and family. Cons I hate that it took away my attention span, that it is essentially Coco Melon for adults. I despise that it runs on hate, that there are "sides" of TikTok that are just dogwhistles and nazis, and that they coexist on the same platform that queer people do. I hate that they shadowban people speaking against injustice, or people of color just for being people of color, or the same for queer content creators. It takes time and dedication to produce content and understand what works and what doesn't. It's an amazing tool or organic growth, if done correctly. Beware, it's easy to get distracted into doomscrolling while you work. Pros It's a great tool to use for business, to grow your business. It requires lots of commitment and basic skills, but the rewards of organic growth are by far the best. The best thing is that it's free. You can start, experiment, understand what works and go viral for free. Great for B2C mostly, but also B2B if done in the correct way Cons It takes a little bit of learning to understand what works and what not. If you're a professional, sometimes you have to tone down the level of communication by way more than you'd expect. I enjoy the ability to connect with people I know on a more personal level because of what they share. The tiktok shop has a lot of great products and offers several ways to pay. They've also partnered with several shippers so the items arrive very quickly and they have a great return policy. Lastly if you are a beginner, making simple videos is very easy by simply clicking the plus button and then selecting the maximum length of your video. Pros What I enjoy most is the ability to follow people who's interest you enjoy. When you click on the tab, you will find the most recent videos they've made and you can continue to scroll and watch until you're caught up. If you accidentally close out of a video and need to find it, you can go to the search bar, type a period and the videos you've watched will be there in order. Cons I wish we had the ability to play and listen to videos while not in the app. There was a recent glitch or issue where I was only able to see "for you" videos and the shopping cart.
