Pros The amount of filters, the ad management system, the ease of getting your reports, the exposure your business gets on TikTok is at least #2 in the world, also you can always find new trends to follow and get more exposure that way. i love how it simply provides you with the creator tools needed to utilize it and make it your own. Cons this is only a personal preference, but as a business you should always pay attention to how much you spend on ads vs your KPI's, and we've got our official accounts banned before just for creating a lot of ads for different target audience. however the thing i dislike the most is, since our target audience is in the GCC and middle east, it was banned in Saudi Arabia and Jordan, and most of our target audience is from those two countries it has affected the way we market our business and we've found that TikTok is no longer worth it at this time, so we're just waiting for the countries bans to be lifted Review Source DB Diego B. My wife and I, who are very similar in personality and interests, have almost the identical tiktok feed which we both find amusing. We watch around 30 minutes to an hours worth of tiktoks a day, and a few times a week we share our favorites and those that make us laugh. It's great fun and really helps cheer us up after long work days! Pros Due to how short videos on TikTok are relatively to other platforms, the algorithm pretty quickly curates content accurately to each individuals likes and interests. This is amazing as many platforms, like Youtube, took YEARS for the recommendations to be accurate for me. Other platforms, like Facebook, still don't accurate recommend me content after over 15 years. This helps me stay engaged since I'm only seeing content I want to, namely cats, game development, leftist, LGBTQ+, and news. Cons The live feature, as mentioned previously, really needs some rework. There already is a tab for the "lives" and that's really the only place that lives should ever be. If a content creator wants to pay to have me see their specific live, even if it isn't related to my curated content, it should popup ONLY when I am in the "lives" section of tiktok. Additionally, the "lives" needs to be better curated to the content that is on an individuals "For You" page. The few times I have clicked on it the content is so random and has nothing to do with how I've used tiktok for the past few years. As such, it turns me off from wanting to even consider watching a live since it doesn't seen "for me" at all. In short, "lives" should only exist in the lives side of tiktok and not in the "Following" or "For You" pages. Another problem I have is if I want to restart a video, I often scroll up to the previous vid then back down again in order to start it over again. This however doesn't work if the video was the first video at the top of my For You page. As such, several times I have completely refreshed my For You page and lost the video I was watching. Instead of just automatically refreshing the For You page when you swipe, a popup should ask if I want to refresh or not. Then in the settings individuals should have the chance to turn that popup off if they want it to just automatically refresh. This is quite subtle but an amazing detail which would really improve the quality of the app. Switched from [YouTube](https://www.capterra.com/p/237905/YouTube/) I have found that for the most part, YouTube content creators are moving off from the platform or are at least producing different content than they used to. As a platform, YouTube is aging and the content on it is changing in response. TikTok on the other hand, is still rather new and even though its content is evolving it has the energy and creativity of a thriving and nascent space for new and old content creators. And I think it still needs to evolve and needs to work more on its interface, but overall it's a good app for content creators and artists. Pros It's entertaining, its content is extremely varied and always available, I think you never stop finding new things on its platform, in general a new way of communication and entertainment. Cons It is addictive, for many it may not be a bad thing, but it can be very distracting, and it lacks a lot of development and user analysis. Its interface could be improved a lot and it has as an example many more social networks that prove it. January 30, 2022 3.0 I myself started out on tiktok and was very enthusiastic about the possibilities I was quickly saddened by the certain things that you have to do to be able to become verified on tiktok so that you can get monitorized and possibly make money from your analytical content that the amount of people you have to have as followers is very high for a content creator some people are lucky to even get 5,000 let alone 10,000 before you can be verified they are very nitpicking when it comes to banning accounts for really no reason I myself had a count on there for almost 2 years never had any issues was not creating content that was poorly thought of or disrespectful anyways basically it was a very simplistic account and for no reason one day I came in and it was completely banned and I lost all my videos I lost all my access all my followers and then the reason was because I violated guidelines of the tick tock platform when I asked what they were they were never answered they never give me a you know a follow-up support their support system is very poor there they need to increase that because you're dealing with millions of people who get on this platform to not only increase their business income to you know increase several areas of help and mental health awareness drug addiction and recovery there are so many different areas of content but tick tock seems to pick and chose what they think is better at making money rather than letting the people choose it and the analytics choose w Pros Tick tock does have a lot of positive features about it one is the amount of people that are content creator can reach with this platform a lot of small business owners a lot of people that are getting their foot into their own businesses or trying to open up and merge onto their own platform as far as what they offer tick tocks are great place to do that they have tools that will help you get monitorization they give you ideas and they also give you an outline that you can go by that would help you maximize your potential there is a lot of nice people on there there's a lot of people that are helpful on there so tiktok does have that going for it Cons What I like least about to talk is that one their customer support is very very poor if you have an issue it's very hard to get an answer back from them that will resolve your issue and if they for some reason being your account or take your account away all they do is quote you violated guidelines but they don't give you the exact reason and also if you'd been on that platform for say 3 years and you had thousands of videos and a lot of people don't store those on their own devices they leave them on there so that that doesn't take up a lot of space you lose all access to that you have no way to get back in they will not give you access to get it to get them they don't even give you a warning you can come in as I did one time and my whole account was banned it was gone I couldn't get back into it I wrote them several times they gave me no response they didn't give me a reason they just simply said you violated guidelines and basically violating by guidelines can be somebody can report you and say that you did a certain thing and they will ban you doesn't really be true you can read you can ask for a review but you're not going to probably get the answer that you want to get and you're probably going to start all over as many creators have tick tock seems to pick and choose what kind of content they think is going to be a money maker and what content they don't like they will quickly remove Reason for choosing TikTok I didn't choose to talk over alternative products but I can say that now I choose alternative products over tick tock I have since found another platform that basically is running the same way as tick tock but they are more adult and content creator focused so therefore you don't have to worry about your account being banned for no particular reason they will actually give you a warning it will come to you and tell you what's going on what the reason is and then give you a chance to redeem yourself if you have a problem if not then you can review it and if they find that it was an error they'll fix it very much a place where people with issues people with drug addiction mental health all those can come and feel welcomed The bullying is not there and therefore it's a much more comfortable environment to a content creator Review Source Rony Peterson O.
