Pros anyone with an iPhone can be a filmer very easily, no - little training required. the software mitigates shooting in the wrong format, and makes sure you know what shots should look like all within the app. Unlimited filmers means you can deploy 100's of people. Cons need more editing features and ability to move clips from project to project. Would like to be able to capture photos too. Cinebody is a cost-effective way to make professional videos. The editing/producing staff is extremely responsive, does an excellent job of staying in touch with the customer and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. The technical team works hard to figure out any glitches or anomalies. I highly recommend Cinebody for your video needs. Pros Cinebody's platform makes it super-easy to set up a video shoot literally anywhere in the world and get broadcast-quality results. We made several short marketing videos, including testimonials from our target audience, which we are using to build brand awareness. Cons We did have some glitches with the technology. Our person in the field was unable to get their iPhone to connect with the Cinebody platform. But the workaround was easy and we were able to complete the interviews and upload them later. " March 3, 2022 5.0 I'm in the business of Customer service and can tell you that \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and his team blew me away. What we produced in the craziest time frame was mind blowing to me. When I though that we were about to launch and meet the deadline, something on our end came up and in my mind we would be thrown off by a couple days. Nope! \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] kinda refused to accept that we were gonna miss the deadline. Neither a weekend nor time of day seemed to be a factor. Whelp, we met the deadline. Oh and by the way, we basically did this in less than 10 ten days, which is unheard of! From the stores all the way to the stake holders in the company, the response was phenomenal! Pros Ease of use, and can make anyone look like a pro. Cons In all complete and upfront honesty, I cannot think of anything I disliked. But then I had a quick turn project come in with zero budget and required footage from across the USA. Cinebody was the perfect solution and was easy and cost effective to implement. Since then, I have used it countless times and during the pandemic, it has been my go to software for capturing authentic content from users. Pros The best part of this software is the ability to utilize the cameras on user's smartphones to capture user generated content anywhere in the world. The shot list makes it easy for average users to understand the direction for each shot and ensure they properly capture each shot. Cons The software is currently only for iOS, but there are work arounds for android users. I would also like a "download all footage" feature. All finished videos of our projects have captured everything we would have hoped for and even more. It such a pleasure to work with Cinebody! Pros The software is easy to install on your phone which makes it easy for our users. Since it's app based, users have the ability to capture videos anytime since everyone always has their phones with them. Cons The only thing I can think of is that, at least in the past, it was a little clunky for those not on iPhone. He guided us along the ins and outs of the program with many examples of how we could get started. He was available whenever we needed. We have had a great experience so far with our projects. Looking forward to using it more. Pros In rural Alberta, Canada, we have great difficulty bringing video crews to our different locations in the region we serve. The ability to create your crew with the participants who are on location was a great value. It saved in production costs and gave the filmers pride to be able to contribute to the project. Not too many hangups, reliable. Pros I like that it forces spec on the phone, so you're covered if someone forgets to optimize their camera settings for recording. I also like that it takes the guesswork out of offloading for less tech-savvy talent. Cons I dislike the browser UI. Even after using for a while I still find myself clicking around to find something instead of intuitively knowing how to get there, and batch functions are almost non-existent. Why can't we view anything in a list? Or organize into folders? The generated naming conventions for clips are also really weird. Uploads from mobile lag hard if the takes are not super short. When the heck is this thing gonna be available for android?? Also, I gotta say I HATE that it still forces camera orientation for the entire project. Almost every campaign we do has a horizontal AND vertical shot for the same project. Orientation should be PER SHOT like the other settings. Pros The best part of Cinebody is being able to create a project with video standards you define. Once a link is created you can email out the link with simple instructions to using the app and watch the videos roll in. It's great for making compilation videos across a global company like mine. Pros I love how this app allows you to direct your team to get the shots you absolutely need, while also leaving room for creative freedom. It's great when you end up with additional unique clips you weren't expecting, it makes your final edit that much better! Cons There has been a couple of people on our teams that didn't use iPhones so they had to use their web browser to upload clips vs downloading the ios app. That being said, the web browser was still very close to the ios app experience and uploading was still a breeze. I love the authentic story telling possibilities of working directly with creators to tell their real stories. Especially during the time of COVID-19, big production crews aren't always the best option for authentic story telling! Cinebody has allowed us to create content with people from all over the world! Pros As a producer, I love the catered, organized experience that Cinebody allows us to give to content creators. Not all content creators are professional filmers. Cons At times, it's not the most user friendly software for people who are not the most tech-savvy. There have been instances where I have to jump on a call to explain how it works, how to login to a project or use the camera/view the shots.
