The system is easy to learn, but has nuances that will take a long while to figure out. Pros I like that the system easily accepted a data upload of our already qualified vendors. Inviting vendors to qualify with us is very easy. Monitoring prequal status is a simple screen viewing. Sending reminders to vendors is also just a click away. Custom email templates for different reminders is also just a few clicks. Cons Although we had all the required prequal fields for the upload, such as each insurance policy, each separate company contact, etc., TradeTapp wouldn't allow us to upload. This meant that our vendors are now having to qualify again, very frustrating. Our ability to modify the data submitted by vendors is completely removed. So if the vendor makes a typo and submits the prequal, they have to be the ones to login and fix the error even though we're perfectly capable of immediately fixing it. Pros Ease of use on the CM side. Data is well laid out, easy to view and to interpret. Platform looks great on an iPad for presentation/review with clients. Cons Subcontractor use doesn't seem as intuitive as CM side. No CM override for financial submission. PDF attachments download and open in new window, would be nice if they open in the platform. No excel-type functionality in the financial input (ie add or subtract values in the input 'cells'). I would like to see Vendor Management column sorting (move columns around) and better labels for 'Trade Type' - maybe less reliance on CSI code and more on trade description.
