Comments: For everything they will promise, pls have it in writing or else one department says verbal and no way of verifying although there is an email stating for same reason. I will never recommend this company.

Pros: software is excellent, it is interfaced with my electronic medical record so no paperwork but Kareo and other EMR are interfaced as well

Cons: support - each department is very disconnected and support is a nightmare. One department promised something and the next department has no clue whats going on and its up to you to prove everything again

Very polite and willing to assist.

Pros: Adjustable to individual practice. Easy to navigate in the system. Training library and help content that is available .

Cons: All the add on costs for every update. System slowness at times. I'm old fashioned and like more person to person communication.

Comments: We used Therapynotes prior to AdvancedMD and it was a drastic change for the better. AdvancedMD is everything and does everything that I wanted in a software program! So glad we switched!

Pros: The ability to click on one button to check insurance eligibility is amazing! It saves us a lot of time and money! The customer support is great! I could go on and on because there are so many great things about this software!

Cons: The scheduling could be a little more user friendly. However, you can customize it in many different ways to whatever works best for you.

Even though the rep. was not sure of the answer, she asked someone else and she got our answer.

Pros: Ease of electronically posting vouchers in the e-remit, confirmations now show in the scheduler next to pat. name

Cons: Sometimes the software will not electronically post and will have to be done manually.
Would like to remove the "VOIDS" from patient's acct. so they are not seen when giving them a ledger or statement.

Was quite impressed with your system!

Pros: Can alleviate a lot of time consuming issues in an office environment. It's like a secretary having her own personal secretary!

Cons: The price. It's is expensive for a small business just starting out. Too bad you can't charge a business at different levels.

I've been using this software for 6 years and it was easy to learn and makes my job easier.

Pros: I especially like the ease of switching from the PM side versus the EHR side. I do the billing, auditing and charges so this is very important to me.

Cons: I don't like that when you do a reversal on a unapplied payment and you make a mistake it is completely lost and you are unable to fix it.

Excellent billing software, large learning curve, helped us condense our operations

Pros: The insurance billing is fairly seamless once you learn it. The EHR has worked in a way we were hoping for. The calendar can handle expansion/growth as we are forecasting. You can easily use this for multiple locations and multiple providers.

Cons: It can take a long time to train new staff the features and functionality of the program. They charge per provider on different features, which can be a little frustrating.

Overall: Ease of billing, flexibility with the scheduler, EHR for notes. Simplified our practice operations.

Pros: That it is very hard to make a mistake, due to all the settings. It can become customized to an extent. All staff can use it.

Cons: Not really a training program that we can put new employees on. Do not like the void feature at all. We would prefer being able to edit.

Pros: Very user friendly. Lots of useful functions. Reporting is very good and there are ways to customize your reports.

Cons: Customer Service isn't very good. Most of time time, you feel like you know more about the product than the reps do.

Pros: 1. progress notes section can be totally designed from scratch 2. When you finally get a good support staff they are helpful

Cons: 1. Unable to bill home health re-certifications because system does not allow entry of agency provider numbers 2. Using the system for 9 months and still have not been paid on any claims filed electronically. Only paid on paper claims I printed and submitted myself by snail mail. 3. AdvancedMD entry of information in insurance and provider data base files (master files) was inaccurate and has caused a large number of problem and even paper claim rejections. 4. Takes 30-40 minutes to enter information for a patient encounter, 60 minutes or more for a new patient. 5. Looking for a new system 6. On phone line for hours in que waiting for support, after months of claims billing problems finally got an assigned support person, very nice hope things get work out!

Overall experience with AMD has been great.

Pros: I like the ease of the patient billing process as well as collections functions. The charge entry and editing features are extremely helpful as well.

Cons: I would have to say that the update to the scheduling process has been my least favorite update. Luckily there is a work around for that with the Legacy function.

Very happy with AMD and software. Customer service is excellent and helpful.

Pros: Easy to maneuver around. Like that you have options to use for different tasks, such as posting payments, posting charges. I can use one way to get through fast and easy and/or
another way to be more detailed if needed.

Cons: Sometimes, not often, have some issues with the eRemittance posting payments. I really have no other complaints. We are still using the Practice Management software to date, so cannot comment on the newer version.

Everyone at Advanced MD has been so helpful, knowledgeable, and has made the experience a pleasure.

Pros: It is very intuitive and offers many options to personalize the forms. Claims submission is fast and easy.

Overall: It makes my job easier and will help me with focusing on my clients. I am looking forward to using this product for many years. The billing aspect of the software also is quite intuitive and it makes a difficult job manageable.

Very knowledgeable and friendly support staff. Trainings when I started were great.

Pros: Easy to use, good support, excellent communication. Software meets all my needs. As a small, solo practice the complexity of billing is not easy for me,. I appreciate the good support I get.

Cons: Complexity of setting up new insurance companies so system recognizes them. I don't think this is necessarily an AMD issue, it is related to our monstrous health care system.

Overall: Billing system and ehr.

Pros: Good interface with our EHR and credit card payment company. Detailed scheduling and decent array of available reports. Relatively easy to use but templates must be manually entered annually, they cannot be copied for replication.

Cons: To build custom data reports requires a subscription to expensive Advanced Insight. You cannot subscribe to just one provider either; it must be for all. Customer service not very responsive unless you use chat. Roll out of new schedule did not come with instructions ahead of time so we were struggling to make it work.

Pros: At this point there is nothing I like about the program. A user for almost 6 years. Service continues to decline. The system gets slower by the minute.

Cons: The system was great when we were 4 offices. Now that we are 14 offices, the system speed is terrible. We constantly get error messages and have to restart the system. These issues have been a list for almost 2 years. Nothing has been done. Support staff is friendly, but nobody really seems to know what they are doing anymore. It is one headache after another.

Comments: I am extremely disappointed in Advanced MD customer service. I have been using the product for about 8 years. They market the product as costing less than provider which is not accurate. I have 3 providers in my office and I have to pay /month. They admit to their mistakes in the software codes, but refuse to work with their clients when Advanced MD's mistakes cause significant harm to a practice.

Pros: It will find errors on claims prior to submitting them to insurance carriers. It allows for macro billing which saves data entry time

Cons: There are too many "add on modules" that you must purchase in order to get the functionality out of the program. There customer support is below average. We purchased an add on module that wasn't functioning properly. We noticed this 1 week after purchasing the module and made Advanced MD aware of the errors. It took them about 5 weeks to shut the program down and it caused financial harm to my practice and also upset many patients. The software was texting/emailing patients up to 16 times in one day. It was a significant error in the software code and Advanced MD refused to act quickly to shut down the module. In addition, Advanced MD continued to charge me monthly for the module even though it wasn't working correctly. They refuse to provide a solution.

Pros: The Customer support has fine tuned their training to allow for ease of learning and ease of use and continued use.

Cons: The ehr side of things may be a little to reliant on the build it yourself side of things, But once you know what you are doing it becomes like second nature.

Pros: This product have the ability of completing multiple functions in the healthcare facility. Also, we do not have to continue to use an outside billing company.

Cons: There is nothing bad about the system, overall, love the product. Going from paper charts to electronic will require an extensive training for employees.

Pros: User friendly, able to connect to credit card processing, able to pull great reports monthly. Ability to run A/R reports and numerous other reports.

Cons: Billing service (separate fee from software) not excellent and not on time. Enrollment service also takes some time to set up

Comments: I think this software is fabulous in a setting different than ours. We are a DMEPOS provider and we were told that the price list would automatically update and after signing the contract found out that this wasn't the case. So we had to abandon the software. I otherwise think it would be a good software for other types of medical offices.

Pros: EHR seemed easy to use and we loved that it was customizable. The scheduler was dynamic and we liked the intake options.

Cons: They could not automatically upload/update the DMEPOS Medicare price list for us, so it was a deal killer.

Comments: The past year, while billing has been excellent with this system, our providers are continuing to complain about being unable to sign notes, send claims over for billing, the system will freeze out of nowhere, and Advanced never has a solution.

Pros: Billing is easy to use and understand, most of the time. The system itself is pretty to look at.....

Cons: Advanced md is very pricy and when we do have questions and problems we wait on hold for close to an hour before anyone answers, after they answer we are put on hold consistently and usually just receive a ticket number rather than an actual answer to our question.

When it works correctly it is fine but when it doesn't support is impossible

Comments: Why can we not reach or get connected to anyone higher than a supervisor who generally just back up the support personnel instead of finding the issue

Pros: Reports are generally easy to find what I need , the system is user friendly for the most part but changes to or adding templates seems overly complicated

Cons: support is sketchy with most issues being blamed on our ISP even when we are having the same issue across multiple ISP providers , mistakes are sometimes hard to get corrected

Comments: I can't say enough about AdvancedMD. The software, the staff, the users. Everyone helps one another. NEST is a great resource.

Pros: Ease of use. User friendly. Excellent help files and videos. Customer support. Easy to contact. Several ways to contact. If they don't know the answer they will find the answer. Always adding new software applications. AdvancedMD listens to what their customers want, then incorporate it into their software. The company is like a small family. They all know one another and they remember who you are. Very personable and knowledgeable about their product.

Cons: You can do so much with the template creation. It can be overwhelming. But they do have experts that will help you tweak what you have created.

Comments: They have no conception of customer service. Hold times are generally over an hour on the phone, and 20-30 min for the chat line.

Pros: They have a good billing system, it is easy to use, well organized, and has many reports that you are able to run.

Cons: As an EHR they have no clue what they are doing. The system is hard to use, is expensive, the patient portal is completely non-functional. They say they are meaningful use qualified but it is only to a very limited number of measures not relating to specialties. The cost is outrageous for the functionality you can get better bang for your buck elsewhere.

Pros: How easy the system is to use and the great customer service. I also enjoyed the transition of our old billing system to this billing system, the implementation process was smooth and very informative.

Cons: We use this system to create the second half of our payroll reports for our individual providers and there isn't an actual report available that provides the information we need. We need to go to a larger report and custom design the report in excel to fit out needs.

Overall we are very pleased with the software.

Pros: Overall we like the features the software provides . Customer services is very knowledgeable
and friendly.

Cons: The computer is very slow sometime going from one field to the next and the wait time for customer support is long . Even when you ask for a call back it takes I while .

Pros: That it is web based, it is user friendly, and I like the reporting capabilities. Whenever I call support they are friendly, easy to understand and extremely helpful.

Cons: I would like the software to be able to be able to merge duplicate patients. At times the system is slow or freezes. I would also like to be able to access multiple keys at the same time.

Intuitive and regularly innovating, comprehensive.

Pros: The Practice Manager and EHR are very broadly integrated, are very smooth and thoroughly comprehensive.

Cons: I have found it somewhat challenging to customize clinical templates , but there are many choices available.

Overall: The software revolutionizes healthcare documentation. You can't be without it. It's easy to learn, intuitive and expands to accommodate a wide variety of needs.

Pros: Quality is good. We have not had major issues with downtime. Sometimes it is hard to get support to quickly address a situation when it arises (don't give me a number and a promise to call back, give me someone to walk me through fixing something when I call)

Cons: Every time changes are made to the system (adding another provider's schedule), the monthly charge is substantial and frankly is too high. There should be a one-time fee to add another provider to the system because frankly the cost on your end is not that much to add an additional schedule to my system. Also in the ease of use critique above, when I need to change the hours a provider is working in a given day, it is not easy and your cust svc staff/programmers seem put out sometimes when changes are requested.

Overall: The software is like all the others on the market but is actually a little less user friendly when changes are necessary to the template. easy to use in scheduling and billing and demographic entry

Comments: Do not sign up with this company. They will take your money and never let out of your contract no matter how bad their software is.

Pros: Training was excellent. Nothing much else to say. Most Electronic billing software is very similar.

Cons: They are constantly upgrading their software which puts their system down for days. They have lots of software issues. It is not reliable. I submitted claims 3-4 mo ago which never got submitted to the anthem blue cross nor united healthcare. United healthcare has a 3mo deadline. I was wondering why I never got my reimbursement checks. It was because AdvancedMD never submitted them even though I completed the end of the day wizard. By the time I found out, it went beyond the 3mo deadline, and resubmitted them after. This cost me which made me not be able to pay bills on time costing me my practice. I am now in default all due to advancedmd's misleading software making you think everything is submitted when it it isn't. They have software issues that will cost you your practice. Also this is not for chiropractors, it is designed for MD's.

Probably a better product than the "free" EHR we were using.

Pros: Seems to have a lot of functionality- more than we are aware of. The ability to perform customization to our practice needs is very important.

Cons: The proper utilization of ALL the functionality is severely limited by the quality of the training provided with the initial purchase and set up. It seems that we have bought a product which is in a large part beyond our ability to utilize to its maximum performance.

Overall: Vague question- compared to what?

Pros: The reporting. There just about any imaginable report needed. I also am happy withthe key accounts line. Having a live person to help me in the moment is very valuable to me, rather than logging a ticket.

Cons: The advanced insight reporting.Its not intuitive to use for custom reports.
Aldo the auditing trail. I wish there was a feature that allowed me to see the activity on each account, but it may be Im not aware of it yet.

Pros: The ease of use with this software is great! It makes training new staff members very easy. It is also easy to check if Meaningful Use requirements are being met!

Cons: There are times when you are working on a task and then the program has to restart. It happens with no notice and the information is not saved. But on the plus side it only happens to a single user so it is nice that the whole office isn't down. Also, it starts right back up again so there is little time wasted.

Pros: Responsive staff and navigational aspects of the system are useful. The Dashboard and benchmarking are what I like most.

Cons: Custom Reports and the inability to format reports in certain formats for certain programs. Some of the data needs to be changed from time to time and the export, formatting and pulling data hurts.

Overall: I am able to manage the office functions much more efficiently.

Working on AdvanceMD is pretty easy to use if you receive the correct training.

Pros: You are able to enter the charges in different ways, You can have quite a few employees working on the system at the same time. If the Insurance are set up correctly and the procedures are set up, everything can run smoothly. You could run budgets with seeing where your money is.

Cons: The claim inspector not knowing why the claim has been held. It does not tell you what the errors are, it will state within the claim there are one or more errors but it does not state what are the errors. Some times when calling they can not answer the question quickly. With what the Doctors have to do with an EMR and they want the billing together. It has taken a long time for our EMR to reach out to a doctor that will be leaving cause the Doctor asked me what are EMR is like and I could not tell him. IF we are billing we should be able to see the EMR so we could inform our groups and get them on the system instead of losing a doctor. Which is what is happening to one of my big Groups. There is not communication between the Advance MD that uses your product and how it is better or what the changes are. Not everyone can go to the yearly meetings to see the products.

Advanced MD is easy to learn. Not as intimidating as first feared.

Pros: I SCHEDULE SURGERY SO I LIKE HOW EFFICENT AND FAST SCHEDULING ACTUALLY IS. I can look up a patient in a fast effective way if they are calling regarding their surgery. I can reschedule them easily as well. I can see all the information I need quickly about a patient. Their demographics, insurance etc.

Comments: We made the transition from outsourced billing to in-house billing and with AdvancedMD the transition has been smooth! We are so glad we made the jump. We have saved money and have gained full control to see what sources are paying out and which are not.

Pros: The system is very user friendly. There are a lot of reports and screens, which can be overwhelming; however, with great customer service and implementation specialists designed to make your transition smooth, you realize how much you are really getting!

Pros: The interface looks great, everything is easy to find, and it integrates easily with labs, SureScripts, etc. Dot phrases speed up note-writing.

Pros: Posting payments!! It is neat the way you can pull up the eob and hit the button and it puts in all the info for you with one click. Very time saving feature.

Comments: Overall, the best software I have seen and used. I have reviewed and worked with 7 software companies.

Pros: The solid base of the platform, it is customizable and responsive. The learning curve is fairly easy and yet the depth of the software continues to add more value as you learn it.

Cons: The progress notes open in word documents, not inside the software. The scheduled drugs are not able to be scheduled into the future for the software to prompt for refills.

Comments: AdvancedMD has done a superb job with their support team, I really can't say enough about their level of professionalism, expertise and willingness to go above and beyond to help with almost any situation. I've used other practice management products and AdvancedMD is by far the most user friendly.

Pros: I really don't know where to begin with the Pros of AdvancedMD. I might have to say the Video Training Library is one of my favorite parts of AdvancedMD. It is a guide or a visual aid to assist any user in the practice by displaying and explaining how things work. After any formal training a user may have questions or uncertainties with regard to posting payments, processing claims, adding demographics, etc. With pretty much one click of the mouse or F1 you have access to training. The ease of use is another Pro to AdvancedMD, you don't have to be afraid to experiment or test different aspects of the Practice Management piece. I like how the product has evolved over the past 5 years and their social media piece "NEST" shows their willingness to relate to a younger generation of users while making it user friendly for us old folks too.

Cons: I would have to say the reporting piece is lacking from an accounting point of view, and the idea that Advanced Insight is available at a per provider fee is definitely not the answer I want to hear. The financial health of a practice can only be measured in numbers, increase the subscription to AdvancedMD and throw in Advanced Insight, it's a win win!

Pros: The efficiency of productivity. I like the functionality and work flow. It's not that easy to understand at start, but with some consistency, best practices are developed.

Cons: Training, set up and start up. It's pretty instense to start up a new practice, way too many steps for EDI set up and customization. It would be nice if a development team would be able to hand hold during this process, the switch over from another product is time consuming and difficult already.

Overall: Workflow and consistency. I like that AMD works with other vendors to make the process easy and effective

Pros: The workflow makes a lot of sense. As a mid-sized billing service, I love the CBO Option. This allows us to work across all of our clients' databases at once, without having to log in-and-out of individual databases. This has greatly improved our efficiency! I also love the fact that AdvancedMD reviews our claims before they go out the door using professional claims review software. This software anticipates any potential coding issues or other problems on the claim before they even go to the clearinghouse. This helps us reduce our denial rate. The denials module is great - it has streamlined our denials management process in that we no longer work from paper. We now work from intelligently-created queues. This is another HUGE time saver. The Collections Lists for working Accounts Receivable is also well thought-out. We used to have to run paper reports in our old system to work Accounts Receivable. We now create work lists for our collections team and assign various payers to these work lists. This not only helps our collectors work A/R more efficiently, but it helps our supervisors manage the A/R queues better. Lastly, I love the Statement Module for patient statements. It is so easy and effortless to do patient collections now. AdvancedMD can even be set up to write off accounts that need to go to the Collection Agency automatically, and prepare a file that can easily be transmitted to our third-party collection agency. Great software!

Cons: As a cloud-based product, it can be a little slow occasionally, but not excessively slow. There are a couple of other small things I wish the software did differently, but I has certainly has exceeded my expectations.

Overall: Efficiency and a more intelligent workflow.

Comments: I am very appreciative of the support staff but one in particular, Beth Linker. I can't tell you how helpful she has been to our company. She stayed on the phone in the past countless times until I understood all the changes and requirements for MACRA MIPs (which is a task in itself) and is available to me whenever is convenient for us. Comments: Since Beth Vella Linker trained us again and re did our implementation set up, I am finding it easy to navigate through. A lot can be done through this system, still learning in steps. I would recommend Beth as the best Implementation Manager and Trainer so far in my last 1 yr with AdvancedMD

Pros: I like the ease of being able to schedule, send claims, get answers. I am impressed with almost all of the representatives I talk to. Your software is expensive but the savings and efficiency has been worth it.

Cons: Right now there seems to be some response time issues. I have noticed it since adding the new scheduler format and am hoping it is just issues that will soon be fixed. The wait time can be extremely long and using the actual wait list often locks up the system completely.

Pros: Most of it makes sense in a synopsis = I have not been a computer user overall and to actually begin with this system on a daily basis was a definite concern to me ,sleepless nights, that kind of thing. However, there was nothing to be concerned with. Its too easy!

Cons: Little to least like because it is well thought out. The questions can easily be answered by the tech support or our billing service. They interface with us and I can go directly to them if I get confused on any new topics. I have had difficulty with tech support realizing I am a contact person for our office, they seem to not have that on file although I have had our billing service address listing me numerous times and if any complaint - the tech support level one tries hard to address questions but it did take me far too many times w/level one techs to finally send me to have a repeated issue resolved by a higher tech dept. in your system.

Pros: Electronic charge entry and claim edits make billing out claims a breeze. I like that I can do a quick overview of all claims and approve them and if it does not meat coding guidelines it will let me know so I can take a closer look.

Cons: cannot group AR module my individual commercial insurance. I can group it by financial class if I just want to look at Medicare or Workers Comp claims but I would like to be able to just look at Beacon Health, or just Tricare.

So far so good...as with any new system there is a learning curve!

Pros: I like the self help videos. It is handy when customer service is closed. Also, it allows me to learn the software more broadly. I really appreciate the great customer service.

Cons: It would be nice to be able to print out Carriers AR Details report that contains all charges. Example. I want a report to have all carriers that were billed to listed and I can choose a date range. I have printed the Carrier AR report and it did not contain all the carriers listed in the Carrier Summary report .

Overall: I am able to teach others how to use it and assist them with their practice needs.

I have enjoyed using ADVMD over the last year and a half, but continually see it getting slower.

Pros: What I like most about this software is the ease of scheduling patients and the ability to seek support and ask questions at any time throughout the day. Also, most questions are easily answered by the help contents section on the website.

Cons: Maybe there are too many features and functions within the software making it take quite awhile to learn them all. I also think a 24-hour help desk would be helpful for questions not available in the online help section.

Overall: I am now able to keep my patient information organized and my financials are easily accessible for accounting purposes.

Pros: Easy to use and constant support when you need it. We use it everyday and are pleased how easy most things are. When we go to EHR I would not consider any other brand of software. They changed the annoying initial "hold" music after I requested they do so.

Cons: Occasional glitches in the system (chrome vs internet explorer) Sometimes long wait on hold to get a tech and if you leave a message, the call back is not timely. Relay Health has had some issues. The "hold" music was never changed when a tech puts you on hold to go ask a question though.....

Overall: We had an old DOS program. So this is way better!

Pros: I like that the schedule is on the side and how I can pull patients from there and code and enter my charges. Everything I need on one screen.

Cons: The delay!!! Patient names Do Not 'drop off' the review list automatically. Nor do they remove from the top bar by the Dashboard. Is there an easy way to do this? It wouldn't be so bad if the delay wasn't so bad. I find myself just sitting.....waiting for the next screen. The Classic EHR was more time efficient.

Pros: We have been customers for over ten years. The PM portion of the program is very intuitive and user friendly. Learn all aspects of it, and you will run a better and provide improved patient care.

Cons: The customer support is better than most; now that is not a big pro because I have tried three other software programs and their "support" was smoke and mirrors. AMD has decent support; if you need help learning the billing section of AMD you will need to pay for private one-on-one. At least they offer that service. From what I have experienced, the others offer nothing aside from the promises given by salesman.

Comments: We recently had to leave Adv MD because our EHR, that we had before Adv MD, recently developed scheduling and billing modules. That kept everything under one roof, but we still miss the convenience of the many features of Adv MD that our EHR does not have. I have no reservation in recommending Adv MD.

Pros: There were many reports useful for billing, contract negotiation, AR, and patient demographics. It was easy to break out what charts had not been billed yet, what procedures were used the most, and how many patients were in what financial class or carrier. The schedule was super easy to see at a glance, daily, weekly or monthly.

Cons: Some reports did not offer the option of beginning and ending dates. For example, to get a report of how many worker's compensation patients we saw in any given year, we would have to create a custom report that required a fee.

Sharp layout but lacks custom template design feature offered by other softwares.

Pros: The new layout looks more modern however the old layout provided clearer understanding of patient load for day and allowed for better clinic timing assessment.

Cons: The software does not have a template designing feature - all appointments must be entered as "holds" or manual appointment entry. This may make sense for less busy practices, but with three different doctors in our clinic as well as a changing schedule of clinic & surgery, it's not practical to use the "hold" feature that's offered. Instead we're forced to use the recurring appointment feature for templated appointment types using "dummy" patients, which is still time consuming but much easier than using the hold feature.

It's been a great program!

Comments: Overall a good system to use.

Pros: We've used AdvancedMD for over 8 years and it's been great. Very user friendly. Works well with a number of specialties.

Cons: There has been a number of system issues/bugs over the last year that have affected use with my clients. System slowness, crashing, etc. I know it was due to growing pains, but it's been frustrating.

Overall satisfied with AdvancedMD's system!

Pros: The system is very easy to use, train on and MOST errors can be corrected easily. PM and EHR both user friendly.

Cons: Reversals need work they are a pain and time consuming. Refunds that were processed in error cannot be voided and put back on which can cause confusion with a refund on an account that is not really a refund.

Pros: Overall experience has been favorable. The system is user friendly and support staff is helpful. The patient portal and Advanced Insight (reporting tool) are great. Our relationship manager is very knowledgeable, detail oriented, and attentive.

Cons: Patient call center could use more training. Implementation team need to work on the smaller details of onboarding an office key.

So glad we switched to AMD

Pros: I like that it is easy to use and has the reports that Admin need for tracking for clinicians, clients and staff.

Cons: When there are updates but we are not told when just told it will happen soon. Some of the clinicians are not always comfortable with the computer and being able to keep them up to date and not throw it at them would help the admin staff a lot.

Comments: We have been a client for many years are very satisfied.

Pros: Having been a client for many years we have been through the "growing pains" with this company. Overall it has been a favorable relationship. AMD is always improving on the client experience. Initially I was not excited about the feature of having to create "online cases" for issues/questions/problems due to the concern for turnaround time. Overall this has turned into a positive experience as I no longer spend time calling the client line for support and the response time with a resolution is usually within 24 hours. Having an assigned Relationship Manager who is very attentive to my specific office needs has been extremely helpful.

Cons: All software companies have there issues AMD is no different but I cannot identify one specific area that I would deem a "con".

Pros: That is checks the elgibility and the billing to send is nice. That I can call and get directly to a person ansd they help you there and then.

Cons: Trying to fix the billing that is in the hold bucket it isn't always that easy to understand. The billing should be easier to know ow to fix the mistakes other than u shaving to do all this.

Pros: This software is great. It is easy for us to find availability, scroll through schedules, set customized schedules for each provider, take copays, and more.

Cons: When you cancel appointments, it deletes them off the calendar. Although this is sometimes helpful, when we are tracking staff productivity, it would be helpful to see where they may have had a patient scheduled, rather than it appearing that they never filled that slot.

Seem to have overstretched themselves, resulting in poor quality and performance in the last few months

Comments: Steer clear if you are trying to maintain the 'bottom line'!

Pros: I like the Practice Management side of AdvancedMD. My Office Manager especially likes it's ease of use with billing.

Cons: The lack of transparency with billing; meaning AdvancedMD has tripled our cost to use it in three months time. Unacceptable! Furthermore, they have no intention of standing behind the price they quoted us.

Pros: easy to use most of the time, reports are easy to figure out, shouldnt have to pay extra for the advanced insight reports however

Cons: customer support more likely to refer you to help on website then actually help you. EDI enrollments are either costly to have done for you or very time consuming to do yourself. most softwares include EDI enrollment in the setup at no charge

Pros: Office isn't a big fan of Advanced MD. You can't customize reports to your liking and need to accept the reports that it provides.

Cons: It doesn't run batches for eligibility so we need to verify individually. The pastel colors are difficult on the eyes.

Pros: I don't love this software yet, I'm trying. I feel like although I got training I'm learning it all on my own.

Cons: frustrating that you cannot pull up the last viewed patient and when scheduling a pt it automatically pulls the pt in the left column rather than let you choose a different pt right away.

Pros: Our experience shows that AdvancedMD has very good upfront scrubbing mechanism to ensure first time claim submission

Cons: Issues pertaining to account set up sometimes are difficult to locate and then to resolve. We have had a couple of those issues so far and some of them are still been worked on by AdvancedMD

Overall: Easy to integrate into daily administration and to monitor billing progress.

Pros: The recent changes to the scheduler that provide a shortcut to patient info much more quickly has been a help to the front desk.

Cons: Scheduling relys completely on manual entry, with no template feature available. This was a surprise as it is available in other EMR softwares, including the one our practice "upgraded" away from to use AMD. As a result there has been a substantial, time-consuming administrative cost built into the software, as it would be much more convenient to have an already plugged-in appointment structure into which the front desk could simply add patients. Clinics often have a flow in which certain appointment types must be timed, and taking this guesswork out of the hands of the front desk as they book appointments is more efficient and smooth for all parts of the practice.

The reporting is lackluster and at times does not provide the type of detail we require. Unfortunately, custom reporting through Advanced Insight is also not always an option as certain fields are apparently not able to be "pulled" or mapped for custom reports, just for standard reports, which again do not provide the detail we need.

In addition, there is often a lag or slowness experienced by the office which causes frustration when completing daily tasks.

Overall: A more modern look than our previous EMR software.

Comments: As painful as starting a new system is, my office is seriously considering going with a different company.

Pros: Very programable EHR, that is very nice. I like the fact that I can change the size of the screen and letter is very helpful for data input.

Cons: Very poor customer support, they are friendly but don't seem to acknowledge there is a problem initially, it takes lots of effort to convince the staff there is a problem and at the end, they don't have a fix. The answer is the next upgrade may fix the problem. Not really compatible with Apple. Extra process to convert information to a real note. Word merge is complicated and very hard to program and it cost my office a couple of thousand dollars and a month to hire AdvancedMD staff to help program a few essential note for word merge so I can send out meaningful notes. This is very unexpected and painful process. Now I just limit myself to a few templates I have in hand. Good thing that I am a specialist and has a focused practice.

Pros: I like AdvancedPM because it's logical, it's effective, and great value for the money. It has allowed us to be pro-active in processing patients' claims and working with insurance carriers.

Pros: Billing and ERA's

Very easy! I love the tech support. The fact that someone is there, speaks English and understands the problem and is able to resolve the problem by talking it through with you. I never feel rushed or feel like the problem wasn't important. Training and support at the beginning was amazing. I really enjoyed my support at the beginning of this transition.

This product allows the office to flow more easily. We continue to learn daily new items the product offers. It has made out claims processing more efficient . I get quicker and more steady payment.
I like being able to see what each user has doen throughout the day/entering billing, new patients/AR, etc.

Cons: I wish the ERA screen would be larger so much to read and it is on a small screen.
I wish there was a way to stop switching the responsibility from the insurance to the patient (bucket) when a claim is denied.
I am still having trouble pulling accurate AR reports due to the money being switched to Patient. Also if the dates could be in sequence on the invoices that would really help.

I do have to bring up that I am most disappointed with the contract and price. I have spoken several times with by sales rep. & client support about this and still to this date the problem and contract rate that we set together is not being honored. It is disappointing for a small business like myself because what I have budgeted for the year for the software I have already paid out + in less than half a year. Also I keep getting billed for paper claims and no one here is sending paper claims, I have asked them to stop and show me how to stop this as I do not wasn't any sent by paper and def. do not want to pay for them either. The company and program are definitely better than I expected over 5 stars but the invoicing is what is concerning and may be the ultimate deal breaker of whether I continue with Advanced MD in the future.

Overall: Ease of claim billing, scheduler, and faster payment and more consistent payment and entering of payment

I love the system, like everything there are issues, but I am always looking forward to the enhance

Pros: The ease of use. It's an intuitive system that makes sense. The videos and help files are great but the dedicated support staff is very helpful.

Cons: I don't like that I can't see my claim submission files. This would help me troubleshoot some rejections.

Pros: Ability to quickly post payments, ERA posting, run reports, statements, works great with superbill processing from our EHR, Practice Fusion.

Cons: The demographic information from our EHR is not implemented into AdvancedMD yet. I still have to manually add it to the EHR and then again into AdvancedMD.

AdvancedMD has been & still is a very good experience. The implemtation process was very organized

Pros: The overall functionality is superb. I can log-in from any computer, or at home, even from my phone. Like when you need to know how early a patient can get in the next day or that morning. All of the parts work together as a whole like a finely tuned machine. The appointment schedule is a multi-tasker in itself, you can get to pretty much any function you need from there (except master files, fee schedules & settings, which are more of an admin function). Charge entry is awesome, and seamless to "search" for diagnosis codes and procedure codes. And, the insurance payment Auto-Posting is Unbelievable, like adjusting off correct amounts, putting patient responsible amounts to the patient account correctly, and in literally a minute or so. Also AMD is compatible with using "Dragon" for voice text entry and especially SOAP note creation. One of the absolutely best things is, it doesn't matter what specialty or type of provider you are, it will cover all of the bases. I began using billing & practice management software in the 80's so I have a lot to compare AMD to, so take a CLOSE look at AMD, and take it for a test drive !!!

Cons: I think there should be the ability to do "Diagnosis pointing", so that U can define a specific Dx code to be most primary to each line item. For some practice types, that have more repitition of same or similar treatment from visit to visit, like PT or Chiro etc, I think having the functionality of somewhat more automated EHR note creating from visit to visit would also be helpful, even though AMD has a huge library of templates which is really awesome.

Overall: Its changing our practice, and we will soon be "Chart" free (paper that is).

The people who work at Advancedmd are Amazing they go above and beyond.

Pros: Its customization is what makes it so unique and the value for the money is what makes this program so great. So glad we switched to Advancedmd.

Cons: Having to learn how to build the templates myself was a little difficult at first, so if your not technical I could see how this would get a little overwhelming. My trainer helped alot but you do have to watch the videos several times.

Pros: The many functionalities, everything at your fingertips including claims, collects, and more reporting than you can imagine. There's not much that the software can not do! It is also easily connected to my EMR.

Overall: Ease of being able to do my own billing! Eventually, I probably will farm it out, but my representative gave me the confidence I needed to be able to do it myself, a physician with very limited billing education

I've used Advanced MD for the last couple of years and have seen much growth during this time.
