### "Linewize fit our needs"

February 28, 2023

4.0

Once we got over the implementation hurdles it has worked well. There are challenges if you are using AAD as it isn't common for their customer base.

Pros

This product enabled the school to monitor both Windows and IOS devices from a single platform. It has installed clients on Windows that makes bypassing it significantly more difficult than some competitors.

Cons

The reporting for parents or reporting high level activity isn't as good as some competitors. It is improving though.

### "Linewize in my district. "

February 24, 2023

5.0

Great so far. I requested 2 feature updates and was told 1 of them is in the works and will be available this summer. Really looking forward to using the tools they are bring down. Its always nice when a company is listing to its users about how to make a better product.

Pros

It started bringing features back that I wanted. Also the support hands down is the best. I have 100 things going on everyday. So when I need to be in the webfilter I don't always know exactly what im looking for or where it is. Using the quick chat feature has always resolved my issue in a timely manner. Nobody jumps into the webfilter on to resolve an issue that isn't an immediate need. That quick response keeps end users happy which makes my day to day life easier.

Cons

Under the configuration/objects tab. Every single time that I want to edit an object I go over to the edit pencil and click on it. This edit pencil allows you to edit the object name, description, and type of object. I have never wanted to edit those options. I 100% of the time want to edit the properties within that object. Its only an annoyance. its no more or less clicks. Its just clicking on the object to edit it other than clicking the "edit" pencil beside the object. I would love to see the edit pencil in the future allow for editing both the object properties and the name all from the same tab. Just to smooth up the process.

Reason for choosing Linewize

I had already used 3 other products previously. I was un happy with one, I wanted more from the other. In the end I liked what I was seeing. I liked that they were listening. Word of mouth goes a long way. People that are happy with a product will tell you about it. None of my peers where trying to convert me the other products.

### "Likewise Connect review"

April 23, 2025

Terrible, as described before I have had a horrible experience with this app and I think it should be illegal as it causes students to be absolute sitting duck for hackers schools should not waste their time on this god forsaken disgrace of an app.

Pros

Nothing absolutely nothing about this application serves a good pourpose for any school anywhere my student hate it and everything about it has been a disaster.

Cons

Everything about this app is horrible as a teacher, It has done nothing good for any of my classes I have to jump through hoops just to let my students play games when their work for the day is already finished

### "Linewize Is A Disgrace To AI"

February 1, 2026

2.0

It blocked: Scratch Gemini Any website with the words "GAMING, FUN (NO JOKE), AND MINECRAFT. And Many Educational Websites A Filter Called SafeSearch that Google uses It also didn't block the Linewize website, which would be fine except the website actually tells us how to bypass linewize! LOL.

Pros

I hate linewize to the point where I sent a email to the school district! While it DOES block inappropriate websites like it says it does...

Cons

...it does a TERRIBLE job of figuring if it's educational/filter. Yes, you heard me, it blocks FILTERS

### "Linewize helps our school district function"

March 1, 2023

4.0

Overall, Linewize has been great to work with. They're help is always quick and almost always resolves the issue quickly. Even with the issues we've had, it's still the best filtering option we've used.

Pros

The best part about linewize is the granular control when it comes to filtering, monitoring, and controlling the chromebooks students use. I can allow and block specific network calls and sites with ease, see what any student is doing when they're on their device, and stop students from getting off topic with the focus and pause internet tool.

Cons

The filters are finicky. The most struggle I've had with Linewize is just getting websites either blocked or allowed properly. It would be great to allow a website URL and have Linewize automatically allow the required network traffic for it. They have signatures for some popular sites, but that's not useful when I need to allow hundreds of sites that aren't on those signatures. The filtres are also often not effective or don't block things when I think they should, causing headaches.

### "Outstanding Customer Support"

February 24, 2023

5.0

Overall I have had a great experience with Linewize. Again, the customer support is top notch. We like the Classwize software too. Classwize might could be beefed up a little more, but it has been a good product.

Pros

I can't say enough about the company's customer support. I've worked with lots of companies but this has been the only company where I can chat with a real person in just a few minutes if not instantly. I don't have to dial a tech support number with long response times. The support team has always been able to fix my issues and even provides me with a recorded video of how they fixed my issue so I can refer to it at a later date if I have that same issue again.

Cons

I'm a little disappointed in the reporting feature. Maybe I'm not using it correctly but it's a little confusing to me. For instance my superintendent wanted a report of every user who had accessed Netflix. I was able to pull a report but it really didn't give me the data I needed. I wish the reporting could be a little more simplified.

Reason for choosing Linewize

We considered Smoothwall and Content Keeper.

### "Control in the Classroom"

Overall it is simple to rollout and implement.

Pros

Cons

### "Linewise is a problem"

September 16, 2025

While im not complaning about what is blocks, it does however block educational sites such as revisely which is an AI that makes quizzes for you using the content like past papers. Also it stuff up my whole device and I just havent been able to do any work for 4 weeks now.

Pros

Nothing, it is all problems. Very dissappointed with how my school uses it and how it has been made. Makes trhe classroom experience very hard.

Cons

It stuffs up my entire school device and half my school is having this issue making it too hard to get any work done. This is a genuine struggle and it really is starting to get to me.

### "Recommend for educators"

October 16, 2022

Distraction is a major hurdle that educators must overcome and each year it becomes increasingly difficult. This year we're off to a great start with Linewise, I'm eager to see the full impact at the end of the semester. I highly recommend Linewise for educators.

Pros

Linewise monitors every students device screen during class. It's essentially many extra sets of eyes.

Cons

Connecting to linewise can be a challenge depending on the device type

### "Never trust Linewize."

May 23, 2025

2.0

My overall experience with Linewize is dissapointingly bad, and the inaccurate blocking has to stop.

Pros

I really don't have anything to say anything good about Linewize. All I know is that this app can restrict stuff.

Cons

Blocking games on Chromebooks for inaccurate reasons, blocking learning apps, and making things worse for kids and other people. Especially it can filter bypass and potential over blocking issues.

### "Linewize is a great value and easily implemented. Very simple to use. "

November 14, 2023

5.0

Outstanding. I would defintely purchase it again and again. It's been a wonderful experience.

Pros

Filtering is my number one priority. Linewize does a fantastic job of rooting out the junk. Their customer support is superb! They respond quickly and help get any issue resolved.

Cons

Very rarely have we encountered an issue where the filter tags something that is not "bad." I simply contact their customer support and they reevaluate it and correct it.

Reason for choosing Linewize

Demo was amazing. It did everything we needed and the cost was the best.

### "New to Linewize"

March 1, 2023

4.0

For the most part, it is a great sense of security knowing that the filtering is on task and doing what we need for it to be doing.

Pros

We came from cipafilter and it was a plug and play for the most part. We also received a great price for having been a cipafilter customer. It is a great review of which websites the students and staff most often visit as well we receive the alerts that are sent when students type in questionable searches.

Cons

We are still trying to troubleshoot a few issues with both the ipad filter management as well as a few issues with the Classwize product.

Reason for choosing Linewize

They seemed to be more on top of the questions that we had regarding integration into our Serverless enviornment with Azure and Intune.

### "Classwize to help management"

March 1, 2023

4.0

Seriously, this has been amazing and it's been a game changer. I'm able to nudge my students who need it back on to the task that they need to be on. It's easy (almost too easy) for some kids to quickly revert to gaming when they should be working on their academic content. This allows for a way to manage them digitally in a way that reduces the time it would take without this software. No more having to walk around the classroom to see everything - now it's right there in front of me on my screen.

Pros

Linewize's product really allows for teachers to help maintain student focus, giving students more time on task to work on the material they need to succeed. The ability to see your whole class at one time and be able to focus on one single user is another strength of the program. We can load websites on to the students computers, saving time from typing in the correct url of finding the correct link to click, as well as keep students on particular websites we need them to be on. It's a super useful tool to have in our toolkit. I really can't say enough positive things about it.

Cons

Integration went easily from what I understand of it. The only feature I can think of that could be of benefit is being able to see when the students computers have multiple desktops open. Currently, we can only see the desktop they have open, while some like to try to hide their gaming on other desktops.

### "Network Down"

March 1, 2023

1.0

It was a lot of headache.

Pros

It was clean to use for the most part, support chat feature was always nice. Your techs were all pretty good to help with issues that I couldn't figure out

Cons

Your on prem device took my network down ALL the time. Linewize replaced the server multiple times, however the issue continued throughout the year. I started bypassing the on prem server every time our network died, and it would immediately come up and never have the issue. Even if the device was out of the equation, we would have random sites get blocked via the cloud filter even if we had it allowed. This was a wide spread problem with other districts in the area as well.

We feel confident that linewize filtering is keeping our students safe online.

Pros

We brought linewize to our district because we were frustrated with other content filters on the market that were complicated and slowed everything down. While the filter is top-notch, we are most impressed with classwize and it's easy implementation in the classroom.

Cons

Learning the admin panel took a little getting used to.

Reason for choosing Linewize
