CRM Architect Information Services ### "One of the best email validation services worldwide" 5.0 Overall Rating 5.0 5.0 Ease of Use 5.0 5.0 Features 5.0 5.0 Customer Service 5.0 5.0 Likelihood to Recommend 10/10 September 22, 2021 my overall experience with Email Hippo started almost three years ago when i was tasked to implement the omni channel CRM campaigns to support aggressive business growth ambitions. i found out that they have been selected and implemented to run email validation for all newly registered users and the setup was incorrect, basically the service was not being done properly and i did not know that so i thought that time that this service should be replaced as inefficient asap. however when i found out that it was not the fault of Email Hippo as i basically implemented the integration and repeated the validation but that time on my side (in the new selected CRM/CDP platform) and managed to reduce the bounce rate from like 10% to less than 1%. still i thought that this initial selection should be reevaluated and compared with the rest of such services on the market. because basically at that time we validated the new emails on our backend (faulty configuration) and on my side (as part of the service scenario in CRM/CDP) while setting up the integration and validation on my side i got in touch with Email Hippo team and really liked their real customer-centric approach, i told them frankly that i will run the tests and compare them with the rest to select the best option for business. and that i did, i selected another provider and set up the a/b test for the whole month to find out who is better in validation. and Email Hippo won with flying colours by predicting much better. Pros i liked the most their precision of validation because after all we as businesses want the only thing - to increase and maintain the highest deliverability possible to have the highest reach. Email Hippo has very complex algorithms to investigate the emails and look at practically all possible features and run all possible check ups to define whether it is worth sending or better not. and their prediction they are one of the best and i am saying that because i always run the a/b tests and select the better validation service judging by their performance. Cons so far so good i cannot say that i am somehow disappointed or ever have been. Alternatives considered [SendGrid](https://www.capterra.com/p/204113/SendGrid/) [Mailgun](https://www.capterra.com/p/159630/Mailgun/) Reasons for choosing Email Hippo when i joined the team Email Hippo had already been selected and implemented. however the implementation was not done correctly, to be honest it was not doing its job entirely as it was only conducting the domain check and because of the huge list of exclusions it really did not help with keeping the bounce rate at bay. so when i found out that it was Email Hippo that was doing validation i was firmly convinced to find the replacement for them asap as the huge bounce rate was the biggest obstacle for me to implement the new CRM/CDP platform and set up and launch massive CRM campaigns to support business in delivering the ambitious plans. however i found out that the problem was not with the provider but in the faulty configuration. i managed to redo the implementation but before that i actually had run the a/b test on my side to compare Email Hippo with the other email validation service. and Email Hippo provided us with much better prediction and precision in evaluating the new emails. therefore i asked our backend to redo the integration and we actually switched to v3 Review source Incentivized review: software users are invited to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive for their time and effort. I've tried a few competitors and I think Email Hippo stands the test. Results were more or less as accurate as other tools I've tried. There aren't many restrictions, so that's good if you have large lists. Documentation is present if you wish to learn more about the processes used for email verification. This is important to me, to fully understand what your results mean, so you can make your own judgement after reviewing your verification results. I would certainly recommend you sign up for free and check out how the tool looks. The on-boarding is smooth and you learn while you're getting to know the tool. Pros This tool has the standard features that email verification tools have plus a few nice extras. I like the high limits for uploading .csv lists, you can literally upload of list of a few hundred thousands emails. Some other tools force you to split your list into smaller parts, Email Hippo doesn't. You get enough statistics to get a clear picture of your overall list health and you can then filter your results and download them. Cons Compared to other tools, I think the interface can be improved, so that I can find everything faster. A more modern UI can certainly help. When it comes to bulk email verification this tool is great, so I don't mind too much about this negative aspect. It's about the results after all.
