People ask me all the time how I made this or that and I say “PicMonkey”! Pros PicMonkey allows you to do literally everything photoshop can do but for WAY less money! I have been using PicMonkey for years and the updates make it better and better! I use PicMonkey to design ads for my business, birthday invitation, Christmas cards.. the list goes on and on. They have so many templates and sizes of print to fit IG stories, FB groups etc! PicMonkey is the best! You can download and use your own fonts and images too. Cons I can’t think of any cons with this new update. I guess if I had to think of something it would be that with the new update I have to pay more to download my design as a PDF.. " April 12, 2019 5.0 Picmonkey is awesome and I will continue to use it forever. Does most of all the advanced things you need it to that photoshop does if you really learn the ins and outs. Pros I use picmonkey for everything! I have been using it forever (yearsssss). I love it for editing images, creating pngs, thumbnails etc. It can pretty much do anything you need it to do whether that be for social media or for a website. I have never needed to use photoshop because picmonkey does it all pretty much! Cons LOVE it, no cons at all. I'd say if I have to say something, maybe do a cheaper yearly subscription. Pros Picmonkey allows users to edit their photos with a variety of simple tools and an abundance of preset image manipulations. The tool categorizes its functions neatly. For example, it groups all of its cosmetic features in one category, all its filters and overlays in another category, and all of its simple editing tools in another. Overall, the program makes it easy to make pictures look great. Cons The worst thing about Picmonkey is that it costs money. While users used to be able to use most features for free, the company recently changed its business model, making users pay to use any of its features. While some may think /mo is worth the amazing features, others will turn to free alternatives, such as Pixlr express, to meet their photo editing needs. Everything is pretty straight forward. I started using this software in High School when I worked for the yearbook. It was easy to use and cheap. Eventually I started using it when I wanted to edit a nice photo every once in a while. The filters make it extremely easy and makes the creative experience so much more fun Cons I think the touch up options can use a little work but other than that I love it. April 19, 2018 4.0 Being able to edit photos and create fun posters, promos or Facebook headers is super beneficial for a small business owner or employee. You are able to do a lot with a little and make the best of what this software has to offer. No professional editing skills needed which is awesome. Pros I love the fact that it's super easy to use without having to be a professional photographer or graphic designer. I love using this product to create posters, invites and ads for business and love using it for personal projects as well. Cons I think it can at times feel a little constricting on what you can do and the options rarely change or alter. You end up using the same items over and over again with little changes over the year. I've used this product for the last 3 years and it's pretty much stayed the same. Consistent but little improvements that reflect the changing of popular editing looks going on in the industry. It is a tool that in my country many people don't know of . Pros It gives you liberty to chose from a great variety of tools/ templates to create great projects. December 4, 2019 5.0 It's an amazing product with fun and extremely useful features to get the image that you are looking to create without having to learn complex editing tools such as photoshop, etc. Pros I absolutely love PicMonkey! My family and I have been using for personal and professional use for years and it's only gotten better with each update. You can EASILY create and edit whole layouts for any header (facebook and instagram included) I have used it to create stunning openers and graphics for powerpoint and other applications I use. PicMonkey is essential if you aren't a pro in another photo editing tool. This is the best I've found (and I've sampled dozens online!) Cons There are times it doesn't save the entire picture for some reason and when I reached out to the company there wasn't a response. The cost has increased, but if you use it all the time, it is still very much worth it. January 20, 2019 4.0 Pros This software offers a LOT of options at the premium level. I love the personal fonts options and they have added a lot of features that make customizing graphics and pictures really fun and fairly simple. Cons There's a definite lag. I'm not sure if it's just my computer or internet connection, but it can take minutes to upload images and files and to simply move around the graphic with more than a few layers involved... especially with fonts. I also don't like that for this money the app seems to be neglected. I'd rather pay this much for a product that provides an app that allows custom font uploads and more features there. PicMonkey is so easy to use. I make advertisements, social media campaign graphics and photos, edit personal photos, make invitations and more using PicMonkey. People have commented that my PhotoShop skills are great yet I have never actually used PhotoShop and always use PicMonkey. The mobile app is great, too! I often use it to edit photos for social media when I am away from my computer. Cons The software keeps changing and things that I use often and love have been removed or moved. It gets frustrating to use something on the regular and then have it switched to something different and have to relocate it or relearn it. It’s really good & really beneficial. Pros PicMonkey is really great with creating visuals or even logos. I love using it to create word-marks or even just plain text on image and it has a wide variety of colors to choose from as well as dimensions. Really great. Cons I don’t like that the mobile app does not have as many font options as the web app. For both a paid subscription and free it’s the same thing. As a autobody frame repair company now we use PicMonkey to create collages for our customers of their vehicles, and we use it for social media content to show what we do and our frame machine that we use. PicMonkey is very good, it has a lot of features, and its so easy to use even for people who arent very computer savvy. I love the collage maker and the ability to edit several photos. Cons No cons. Cons It was cool to give the new version a try, however overlays were not an option when we received notice of the beta testing ..overlays are something we use a lot of in PicMonkey. My biggest issue really has been with edits taking too long when I accidentally move something in behind another layer. I’d love for an undo button and also a grid button! Pros \-I like that you’re able to make text stand out fairly well on the images -I love that you can select a size for your image and it allows you to choose between different sizes for social media like Instagram post, YouTube thumbail etc -I appreciate that there’s the icons for Facebook, Instagram etc in the images Cons \-I dislike that when I’m adding text and images to something it is really easy to accidentally move something to the back of the page. I often have to start over when this happens and it makes it take 3x as long as it should -I would like to see an ‘undo’ button - I recall there being more options from the computer than from the app. I suppose I shouldn’t complain about this because it’s like that for all apps... but I just felt like I could make text be seen a lot better from the computer - I wish there was a way to crop photos that I add to my photo. -I would love to see a Grid Layout button so I could tell easier if the images I’m adding are lined up properly. I began using PicMonkey for simple graphic edits such as resizing, changing to black and white, etc. and it is capable of just that. Cons For the simple edits that I began using PicMonkey for (resizing) I am now unable to do because it requires a paid membership. Although it's just my opinion, such a simple edit shouldn't have a cost and is a great way to lose potential business. This would also be vital for me to have in order to collaborate on my logo. All in all, I will still use it happily to edit photos of my pottery and images from craft events. Pros I like that the free version on the mobile app works very well and has great functionality. The registration process is minimal and the tutorials are very handy. I also like that I can remove the backgrounds from my pottery images. Cons The mobile app does not allow for printing or downloading. PicMonkey video is only in mp4 format. I like the free app, but if you need the web version, there is only a 7-day trial and three paid plans.
