Laxis makes it possible to multitask while it takes the notes for you! This means if I miss anything key during a conversation, I can always count on Laxis to let me know what I missed. It has also helped me double my productivity during meetings! Pros This tool provides the end user with a variety of meeting tools,. My favorite are definitely the transcription and key point tools, which allow you to flag any topics that are of importance. I use it with Google Chrome / Meet, which only requires two clicks to install, and it's ready to go! Cons The only downside I've found is that closed captions need to remain on for the tool to work properly. If they're turned off, the tool stops transcribing and the ability to make notes can be lost. However, I've already provided this feedback to the Laxis team, who was super responsive and receptive of the feedback. They're already working on a solution! Reason for choosing Laxis The use cases and reviews made Laxis stand out as the no-brainer solution. " February 24, 2023 5.0 I really enjoy the app and the team is amazing. I highly recommend it to everyone. Pros It is super easy to use. My favorite thing about it is that it also has a mobile app. I use it at every meeting to record, transcribe, and obtain, a meeting summary, customer requirements, actionable items, and follow up email copy and all of those made with the push of a button by their AI. Cons Integration with some conference apps can use some improvements and AI features are still under development so it will take a bit until the team identifies the best value that they can provide to all. Pros Decent transcription tool, that integrates AI services like highlights and an AI chat to interact with the recording meetings content. Cons Support and AI services, severely lacking. They never respond and while the AI features like chat and highlight are good, they don't count towards the quota correctly so your AI usage is innacurate. January 7, 2022 4.0 Laxis has been a blessing since we've all been working from home for years. It's the meeting assistant you didn't know you needed, but can't live without once you use it. Pros Laxis absolutely crushes the Google integration, and the on Laxis management of meeting transcriptions and notes does exactly what it should. Cons The software is still in its infancy, the design and functionality could be more closely integrated, and some clutter could be reduced. Other similar tools seem to be overly complicated. Pros I typically take a lot of notes during meetings, forcing me to pause in order to catch up. With Laxis, the conversation doesn't have to stop - I can focus on talking and listening. And since it is automatically loaded with Google Meet, I don't have to remember to transcribe. Cons Ideally, I could create templates that include my questions, so I can keep the conversation consistent when I am doing research. And I would like to be able to hide the captions during my meeting, knowing they are captured in Laxis. Reason for choosing Laxis Simple to use and perfect for my purposes. November 14, 2023 1.0 It was hard to find support, then when I found support, they were not helpful. The team invitation features didn't work at all. After 12 hours of subscribing, I switched to Otter, and asked for a refund of my $200. They denied my request despite barely even using their broken software. Do NOT waste your time and money. Pros Laxis has made note taking a thing of the past - I can focus totally on my clients and what they are sharing. I have found customer service to be of a high quality. Concerns I had about client confidentiality have been addressed promptly and and I have been given a very high level of care by the development team. It has been very hands-on. I am quite confident that any other issues that might show up will also be dealt with in a careful, courteous manner. Cons The trasncription is not perfect! November 29, 2023 5.0 Pros I use Laxis to record transcriptions of interviews for a qualitative dissertation. It works really well. The biggest plus for me is the customer service. I went over the allowable minutes in the free trial before I realized it. I immediately started subscribing to the service, but thought I had lost the data for the minutes that I went over on the free trial. The Laxis team graciously helped me recover it and went above and beyond in their customer service. Cons I have no negative feedback. It is truly a great product. Review Source JR James R. I don't have to worry about writing down everything they said and exactly how they said it. At any moment, I can run back to my transcript and see exactly what was said. Cons I wish audio recordings were available for Google Meet and I also wished the topic tags were a little smater. Currently you have to turn the tag on and off. It would be great to click it, and it tags the thing being spoken or just spoken and when the speaker changes, the tag turns off. Pros I liked that it synced up easily to my Google Meet meetings and made my note-taking of the calls easier. I was able to look back at what people said and jot things down I otherwise would have missed. Cons I did not like that you could not copy and paste during a meeting the section that captions what speakers in the meeting are saying. Jus to clarify, even with free version, in Google Meet, you can still record transcription and highlight, and save to word/pdf/txt files. The first 30 meetings will also be auto-saved to Laxis cloud as well. The only limitation in free version is after 30 meetings each month, transcription and highlight won't be saved to Laxis cloud. Having Google Meet capture the whole conversation means I can simply add a link to my transcription into my CRM notes alongside a few bullet points. The time it takes to capture notes following a sales call has reduced exponentially. Pros Having a chrome extension that automatically captures meeting notes whenever I load Google Meet is awesome. I like that it uses Google captions to capture the notes, and I can quickly tag key parts of the meeting to reference after the call. Pros The transcription feature really helps me focus on my meetings and the flagging tool is really useful for things like follow ups that occur later in the meeting. You know sometimes we have to do multi-tasking during the meeting, which means you may miss some parts or conversations! With Laxis, I can have transcripts saved and check back later, also I can tag the important points so that I won't miss anything. Pros I can highlight any important points in the meeting transcripts with tagging features. Also I am able to export the transcription into words and PDF format, so that I don't need take notes during the meeting. Cons It requires Zoom premium plan or above to get connection with Zoom.
