Pros The AVS Audio Editor delivers the goods for a fraction of the amount of money one would have to otherwise pay to get the job done. But more important than cost is the fact that the Audio Editor, and all the programs in the AVS suite, are easy to master. The learning curve is not steep at all, making it the perfect tool for the beginner, or somebody like myself, who just doesn't want to pull up a sophistical program to do a straightforward job. Cons It's a shame that I can't share this program on my other devices, but the cost of the program and it's accompanying software, is so little that it really doesn't rise to the surface as an issue. But it's important to keep in mind that every computer that you own will need to purchase it's own AVS program. The synthesizer works quite sufficiant and give a true simulation of orchestral or instrumental music. I stopped looking for other solutions after getting this product. Love it. Pros I like how there is a program and/or feature that I will need and/or use. I got the whole suite thinking some of the apps were "superfluous" but I am so glad they are there. I end up using all of them at some point in my 4 years (or more) of being a licensed owner!! And there is no excuse for not getting this software. It is VERY reasonably prices - almost too cheap!! I was worried nothing this good could cost so little, but I was wrong. It is worth every penny and more! Cons There is so much all the apps can do for video and audio. I have yet to explore it all even though I have had it for many years. There is nothing I can say for "like least". I like it all and it gives me the opportunity to do so much more and expand my business without seeking other software. I may not need all the features, but they are there waiting for me whenever I am ready to "give it a go". Pros I like that I paid a small amount years ago and have never had to pay for an upgrade. In fact, I like this so much I have purchased 2 addional licences so I have it on every machine. Cons It would be great if there was an option to slow down playback speed while editing. It can be difficult to select a position in file while zoomed in and playing back edits. Reason for choosing AVS Audio Editor Price and ease of use. Pros I really liked the ease of use in editing and manipulating audio within the app! I often find that I use demos from other mediums like Teams or Zoom. In doing this, I often need to edit or modify the audio to better help focus on the topic of the video, using audio editing. This app allows me to do that, quickly and easily! Cons What I would have LIKED to see, is the ability to bring in Teams or Zoom audio into the editor directly. Right now, I have to use another editor to separate the audio and video and then I use AVS Audio to edit the audio. I wish the software could do this without me needing another application. One tool, double the benefits! Switched from [Camtasia](https://www.capterra.com/p/203013/Camtasia/) Camtasia doesn't allow me to manipulate the audio as AVS does. You do not have to pay a monthly fee that I had to with other audio editors. When you are a small non-profit every dolllar matters. Cons There are a few bell and whistles that the other audio editors may have but as a lower price editor you fine you do not use those as much. Edited the text to be compatible with the programs of the central association of the visually impaired. They made cd’s of the text and sent them weekly to their customers. This lasted for several years, and I used the AVS 4 YOU software for all of this. Charity without compensation, but true good mind in exchange. Now a days using the software for other matters. Pros The software is really easy to use, so there is no need for long periods of expensive education. If are at least some experienced with use of basic computer usage, and know the short names, you can already use this software. Cons It is not the software, I only have a too small screen, so it could be easier to use with an old machine with a big screen.
