Pros Purpose built comunity platform for Web3. I am not sure if this is their original intention, or maybe the founders pivot to Web3 when they noticed most of their clients are coming from Web3 space. There is community chat, Cname to own domain, metamask integration and you have access to API and webhooks. That's why it quickly become the tool that we will be migrating our communities and our client's communities to. Cons Relatively new. There are some functions that need to be addressed. For example ,functions to easily delete the wrong image in post selection and an easier way to accept new user requests. UI is great, but I hope to see more beautiful designs. April 1, 2022 5.0 I am FREE from Facebook Groups, which means I am not accessible 24/7 to anybody and everybody who wants free services. I no longer have to deal with friend requests from clients, and it puts a huge boundary between me and my clientele. However, I can observe the Community in UUKI, and jump in when needed. Pros I love the ease of set up, I had my community built in less than one day. Ready for members within 2. It's super functional for what I need it to be, and has everything I need to run the kind of group I want. I'm sure it will only get better, there are some features I want to try out, but overall, this is exactly what I've been searching for at such a low price point I almost can't believe it! Cons Integration is not easy at all, embedding into my website is a mess, payment options are so incredibly limited, and I can't figure them out. Apparently my Community is "Invite Only" and I can't change that, I just want it to be hidden and accessible to the people who go through my website. I cannot make changes to groups I had previously set up because my "Password is wrong" (it isn't) and I just don't feel like I'm in total control of my communities. But along the way I've provided my feedback and seen first hand how the owners tae this seriously and work on improving and providing new features. Pros Setting up the community is super easy and straightforward. If you go through the setting one by one yo an easily have a community ready for prime time in less than half an hour. I think this is what reeled me in, I had tried other community platforms but they were very complex, written in stone, and felt like a lot of maintenance/managing had to go to it. Uuki has a very simple structure and you an set moderation very easily to build and control de community with the help of the community itself, which feels like a glorious circle as it creates more ownership. Reading the other reviews I imagine that this is so easy that it feels that maybe something is missing, nut probably other users expect something more complex (specially coming from other platforms) Cons UX/UI wise, Uuki still is lacking behind, but I'm sure it is something that will be managed once all the functionality is there, which makes sense to re-work less things. I really wish they had a mobile app where we could get push notifications though. It would be so much more convenient for the clubs / communities that are always on the go. Pros The community was up and running in a matter of minutes. It was very easy to figure out. The private community settings is the best thing for a high school club / organization. No distractions from social media posts or ads. Cons Sometimes it gets a little glitchy and the events function doesn't work well. It worries me that the rest of the community sections will get that way as well. The name is a bit strange but the kids had a great laugh about it. My students love it as well. Pros I like having an a.lternative to being a 'renter' on the Facebook group ecosystem. I can quickly set up new threads and subgroups. I have complete control of where I want my content placed. I can also easily customize my users' experience. Having the ability to monetize certain areas is a plus. I have embedded iframes to livestream events very easily from Youtube. Escaping the censorship, changing rules, and heavy-handed big tech is a breath of fresh air in uuki. I was an old-school Forum Moderator for DailyFX on a BB-Bulletin site. This is a beautiful modern upgrade ! Cons A minor flaw which they are addressing is the BACKSPACE key. When you press it, all of your text disappears instead of just on character. I was really annoyed after typing a really long and well-crafted intro and then losing it all because of the backspace key not once but twice. UUKI was first launched as an MVP, which might have deterred some users. Looking at UUKI today, I bet they regret not having been early backers. It looks so nice and is constantly improving based on user feedback. Pros I like the ease of use, it is simple yet effective. The support is friendly and attentive. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] are well known with other amazing products behind them. The roadmap is truly impressive and progress is visible. Cons It is difficult to point out any cons, however, I would mention that I hope to be able to choose more community languages. As of now, only English, Hindi, Spanish, Chinese & Portuguese are available. My language - Danish - only has 5M speakers so it is quite small but I hope to at least be able to customize some key labels in the UX. As I mentioned earlier, I have seen the development right from when they started offering the product. It was improved in many aspects. Whenever there are issues or concerns, their support team is replying immediately. I appreciate that they are attending to my concerns fast. There are still lots of improvements lined up in their road map. I believe that UUKI will get better and better in the future. Pros UUKI is getting better and better. I started using UUKI since the time it was offered in Appsumo and I witnessed how it is being developed and improved as time goes by. With the ability to create unlimited spaces, I was able to manage the type of discussions in my website. It is also white labeled, so it is really helpful in promoting my company. The recent update wherein you can now upload a PDF file is a huge step up. It will be easy now to share PDF files in the community. Moreover, there is now a chat room in the community so the members now can easily interact with each other. The ability to share external links is also a plus for me. Using the community, I can easily share my other products, websites and programs to all the members. Gamification is also a good feature and you can customize it to match your product. The customer support is awesome. Aside from the very active Facebook community, the support team is very responsive and will respond to your concerns as early as possible. There are many other features that you will surely love like API, Webhook, SMTP, SSO, Embeds, and many more. I love this product as well as VadooTV (Same creator as UUKI). Cons Since UUKI is new, there are of course several things that you can observe that needs further development. Most of these are already in the UUKI roadmap by the way. The chat room looks very basic at this moment. It is quite difficult to drive engagement. I am also waiting for them to provide the admin the full control of the chat room (like deleting, editing, etc. to avoid inappropriate messages). The new feature of uploading PDF file is really awesome. However, I am hoping they will consider creating a sort of library for it instead. It will be better to have a section that will host all the PDF files instead of sorting for the file in every post. I think this is very important especially for people like me who are using UUKI for educational purposes. In Wordpress, I am using before Buddyboss for my community. The deal came with a CNAME feature and that enables you to setup your own custom link to your community. I never have setup a CNAME before so the first thing I did was to access their knowledge base articles. There was one for setting up your CNAME and it well explained and super easy to follow. I was able to setup the CNAME and in about ten minutes I was able to access my community through the custom link. Adding places/categories for your discussion topics was also very easy to do. Did a test post and what blew me away was the ability to embed my YouTube video, not with a link but with embed codes provided by YouTube. In fact, it would be impossible for you to create a platform on Facebook that would offer the same features as Uuki does in terms of creating spaces and groups. And if you're trying to build your own SaaS application from scratch by yourself in the hopes of building a strong following, then it’s best that you give Uuki some serious consideration before it's gone!! If you're looking to build your own community, Uuki is a great solution. Contrary to more complicated SaaS platforms out there, Uuki enables users to start building their own community without having to worry about designing and creating everything from scratch or even actively maintaining it in the long run.
