Pros For my needs, the software is very well laid out to be able to handle proposals, expenses, invoices, time tracking, really everything that you need as a service provider. The beauty is in the simplicity. With virtually no learning curve it's easy to put together well laid out attractive proposals. The subscription feature is fantastic as well for monthly recurring maintenance plans, SEO services, etc. I'm still blown away and confused how they provide this for free. I've converted my entire business over. Cons How can you complain about free? I really can't. Would I like to be able to save proposals as a document (PDF)? Yep. However, no software is perfect, and this is free, so I will put up with cutting, pasting, and reformatting in Word. I primarily use the browser version, but I also use the Android app. Both are easy to figure out and use on a daily basis. Customer service is top notch--quick to respond, professional, and helpful. The contract builder and invoicing features are MAJOR time savers for me. I recommend AndCo to all my freelancer/small business friends, and they all love it, too! Pros I love that it's FREE! Before starting my business, I thought the only options for record keeping software were expensive or clunky DIY options. Then I found AndCo, and not only is it easy to use, but it's free, too! I can't believe that something so useful and well designed is free, but I've been using it for about a year now, and they've never charged me a cent. Cons They changed the timer feature a few months ago, and I don't love the new version as much as I liked the old version. It's still not bad, though, and just took a little while to get used to. Pros I like how And.co is the only freemium software out there for distinguishing expenses/income from personal accounts. This is extremely useful when you have 1099 income and expenses, but don't use a full-blown business bank account to handle those transactions. Cons Extremely buggy software, poor design. My opinion has always been that junior developers push out new releases but then break existing features. This has happened more than a few times. And CO stepped up to the plate and has delivered time and again. I love the integration with other payment providers, like PayPal. This is hugely helpful when you're a freelancer and growing your little business. Pros Obviously it is free, which seems a bit unbelievable. I moved to And Co from Harvest and there were some initial work-about that I had to figure out to get a similar service but over the last 12 months the updates And Co have done have really improved functionality. The time tracking functionality has improved a lot and now works well. Love the proposal and contract being sent together. Love being able to see what's been viewed. Love the brand. Cons The proposal is basic which when you're a creative freelancer is a little limiting. However there's options to attach files so its not a biggie. It would be great if it integrated with the likes of Xero too. It's a great platform where you can keep an eye on all your clients' projects, invoices and to add to the benefits you can request a monthly report on all income and expenditure. Another beneifit is that AND CO runs on a custom made mobile app. Cons Recurring monthly payment could be lower and the mobile app could feature fingerprint sign-in on your AND CO profile. I gave it a crack and signed up for a month or two. Ended up getting a refund due to the drawbacks I outlined. Support was helpful most of the time. Pros Several things to like about it: - User-interface is great. - Support is excellent - Ease to do any functions, i.e. UI, great Cons Where they lost me as a customer are as follows: - I could not create template contracts before jobs came in. That meant that I could not get myself set up for production or outsource to a VA what I needed to set up so I can save time in writing contracts. I had to create them as I close a deal, which slows me down and the whole point of moving was to create these templates to speed up my process. - The differentiation between "invoice", "contract", "subscription", "proposal" is so fine it is really difficulty to understand what should you use for what scenario. I got totally confused. Had to re-invoice people twice. Each feature was great to use, but what feature do I use for what? I could see very little difference. There was no visual to understand and follow. Not hard to handle in my opinion, lots of potential for the software once this is cleared up. But was a deal breaker for me and did not add enough value for me to remain a user. And that's not smart business for me. I love that it has the exact features I need, for a very affordable price. But what's worth more than that is their customer service.Representative ALWAYS helps me, even with difficult requests. That's worth a mint when you're running your own business! Cons I wouldn't say I like anything least. As a new tool they've had some feature improvements and additions that have added value, and I'm guessing they will continue to do that. Cons There are a number of small usability issues that could easily be fixed and save a ton of time. However, we did outgrow it recently and so switched to a more robust overall platform. I would recommend it to freelancers and small or new businesses though. Pros This service is great at what it does. It streamlines proposals, contracts and invoicing of clients. There are a few other features but these are the main ones. For the most part, these features are pulled off really well. Cons A little while back they changed how you turn proposals into contracts and it kind of messed things up, for my company at least. I was no longer able to dial in the exact details of the contract as I needed. I found a work around but didn't appreciate how they changed things. also, the user interface could use some improvement. It's not entirely intuitive. Tracking time was easy once it was set up, and overall, I was content with the software until it came time to download time tracking reports, then I was disappointed that they are not user friendly and there is no way to easily make them user friendly. Pros I loved the look of it, and for the most part, the way it works. Cons I will need to abandon my use of it because when the time tracking reports are downloaded, they are not easy to make sense of. It's also a lifesaver because it makes tracking and categorising spending so simple.
