And for the limited amount we use, the cost is extremely minimal. My overall experience was exactly what I wanted it to be: quick and easy. Thank you Geocodio! Pros Geocodio is a very capable service, with a well documented API. Integration was easy and fast, and the data helped us improve the accuracy of pin placement on a custom map. Cons No complaints of note. Often times the user interface of API tools can be treated as an afterthought, but Geocodio's is simple and easy to navigate. I’ve used similar services in the past, but none compare to what Geocodio provides. Overall, we are very impressed with the offering and would recommend it to any company that needs accurate, fast geolocation data for properties within the U.S. Pros The service was quick and easy to get started with, and the documentation is excellent, with clear examples that made integration straightforward. Cons None that I can think of. Overall, I would like to see the service expand beyond the U.S. and Canada to include key countries such as the U.K. and other EU countries. Geocodio provided the best value, performance, and accuracy of all the services we've tested and we've been happy customers for almost three years. Pros Geocodio has easy to use tools and APIs that are fast and affordable. We work with public utilities in multiple states, so features like appending the time zone are a nice added value. Cons On a few occasions, we have found small inaccuracies in some of the data. Geocodio's support team has been extremely responsive to reports of inaccuracies and made corrections quickly. You cant go wrong with the service or price Pros Fast, cheap and simple. Upload your spreadsheet with addresses. They make a good guess at mapping your colums, show you some data validation to ensure they got it right and your done. 8288 of my customer address geocoded for less than $6.00. Less than 10 minutes. Genius Cons Nothing. Works exactly like I want. The only nit is that I cant figure out how to make their online map full screen. We geocoded ~3 million listings for a new directory. When we started our directory, we weren't sure how many listings we'd need to geocode, but as our needs grew, we qualified for additional discounts. Pros So easy to use, fast and accurate. It’s been consistently reliable and efficient, and easily the best provider I’ve worked with for this type of data. Pros Seamless data upload and a very intuitive interface. The ability to preview results before processing is especially useful, and the option to append Census data, including from earlier geographies, is a major advantage for research workflows. Cons The selection of layers could be more targeted (e.g., the ability to request only census block-level data), and more flexible pricing for narrower requests would be helpful. I find it very easy to use, and the results are spot on! Thank you for building this tool and making it available for the masses. Pros The GEOCODIO website is incredibly user-friendly and intuitive. The Dashboard makes it easy to locate both recent and past projects, which is especially helpful for managing ongoing work. I really appreciate the “New Upload” and “Past Uploads” features—they make it simple to reuse and reference previous uploads without starting from scratch. Additionally, the ability to map codes directly within the platform is a great touch and adds extra functionality that enhances the overall experience. Cons I cannot think of any negatives in this product. It can be easily used for personal, business, or organizational needs. Pros Such an easy service to use and turn addresses into latitude and longitude. In the past I would use Python with an API to convert addresses, but I found it unstable and usage limits could cause challenges. For the price, you can't beat a simple CSV upload to Geocodio. It's also nice to be able to add additional data sources. Cons Nothing so far, easy to use interface, costs are beyond reasonable, additional data sources increases the value. What's not to like. I also love that it will include additional census fields for demographics, housing, etc. for free and easily as well. Their website guides you thru the process to convert your data and the entire process, from upload to review to geocoded output only takes a minute or two.
