Geocodio provided the best value, performance, and accuracy of all the services we've tested and we've been happy customers for almost three years. Pros Geocodio has easy to use tools and APIs that are fast and affordable. We work with public utilities in multiple states, so features like appending the time zone are a nice added value. Cons On a few occasions, we have found small inaccuracies in some of the data. Geocodio's support team has been extremely responsive to reports of inaccuracies and made corrections quickly. Cons No complaints of note. Often times the user interface of API tools can be treated as an afterthought, but Geocodio's is simple and easy to navigate. It's simple, just give your data columns reasonable names and Geocodio will do all the work. Pros Value for Money - Excellent - I'm usually below the threshold for paying, but when i go over the cost is minimal and I'm happy to pay. Customer Support - It's so easy I've never needed any. Ease of Use - It's easy. i dont know how it could be any easier. Data Quality - I've never found any issues. Cons None. Everything I've wanted to do was easy. I’ve used similar services in the past, but none compare to what Geocodio provides. Overall, we are very impressed with the offering and would recommend it to any company that needs accurate, fast geolocation data for properties within the U.S. Pros The service was quick and easy to get started with, and the documentation is excellent, with clear examples that made integration straightforward. There is seriously nothing negative I can think of about this company. I have used a lot of geocoding services and this one is the best. It’s fast, accurate, and easy to use — exactly what we need in a real estate environment where speed matters. Whether we’re batch geocoding addresses for mapping or cleaning up data for our CRM, it handles everything quickly without slowing us down. It’s also very affordable, especially compared to other options we looked at. We’ve gotten enterprise-level accuracy and performance without the enterprise price tag. It’s become one of those behind-the-scenes tools we rely on daily — and the fact that it “just works” makes it even better. Pros We’ve been using Geocodio at our real estate company, and honestly, it’s one of those tools that just does exactly what you want it to do — fast and without any hassle. Uploading address lists, getting coordinates, time zones, Census data — it’s all super quick and straightforward. No weird learning curve, no bloated features. For us, the biggest win is how much time it saves. We’ve used it for everything from mapping out agent territories to cleaning up client lists. June 26, 2025 5.0 It's been extremely positive so far (if you couldn't tell from above!). It has created efficiencies among our ops team who previously had to manually geocode or use slow free tools that took a lot of time and effort. This tool has given us the best overall experience of any of the solutions we reviewed to help with our growing location based advertising business Pros Geocodio is extremely easy to use for anyone. The flexible upload options make geocoding projections super easy to format. The speed of the tool is extremely quick, helping to geocode large lists within minutes. The pricing is also very fair, as we transitioned from free tools that were clunky and slow, and I'm happy to pay for the ease of use as this blows the free optoins out of the park. Cons So far, I have not encourntered any negatives. This is my 3rd project since discovering the tool and have been extremely happy each time. If you're writing an app that occasionally needs to geocode, that's great, but for data analysts — who need to geocode LOTS of addresses in a single pass, and don't need to do it in real time — those systems are a terrible fit. They're clunky and expensive. Geocod.io solves that problem — they're designed to serve data analysts, and provide extremely high quality geocoding results at an extremely affordable price with additional attributes (census blocks, ACS variables, administrative identifiers, etc.) if you want them. Really a hard to beat service. Cons Nothing. Provided it fits your usecase (geocoding a lot of addresses at once, as is common in data analysis), it's perfect! I'm sure that if your address upload is a mess it won't be as accurate. But as long as you have your ducks in a row, its fast and easy. Pros If you don't need to do massive amounts of address verification, right now, you can run these for free! I needed to try and find the US county for a set of addresses. It worked perfectly. Cons I don't have much negative to say. It could be EVEN faster? I think you'd have to have a severe lack of patience not to be pleased with an automated tool that finds address info in a matter of minutes or seconds. There are other tools that do something like this as well. I guess that could be a negative. The fact you can choose to append census data, congressional district data and a variety of other items makes it the best in the game. Pros Super fast and easy to convert a table of addresses into a lat/long pair to be plotted ona map. We needed to plot a bunch of provider offices on a map and then heatmap their panels to show the coverage in each office and Geocodio made it simple and cheap to immediately geocode the addresses instead of the old manual process. Have been using them for projects for years at this point. Most importantly, you can also have them append census data, so for example if you were trying to create a map of low income households, it's trivial to do by using the census data they add free of charge to your table on upload. In addition, I am using their Pay As You Go plan and rarely exceed the max lookups per day. Since I don't exceed the max lookups per day, I never have to pay fees. We have a map of incidents on our site and periodically we have to add a few hundred new incidents which require geo locations. We use Geocodio to add those for us. Pros Easy to use. Quite comprehensive. The accuracy is great even when the addresses are formatted differently. Cons Can't say i have anything negative to say. The whole process usually takes about a minute and is very straightforward. They do offer other features that I haven't used yet but might in the future. Good, easy to use tool. Would recommend Pros It's a simple and easy to use interface. You get the results in about a minute. They have a free tier up to 2000 lookups.
