I use Apploye to manage my employees' activities and track their tasks. I appreciate its ability to capture screenshots and monitor activities, but wish it could record screen shares or videos. Setup was easy, but there's room for improvement. I rate it a seven out of ten for recommending to others.

Pros

I like Apploye for literally everything. I really enjoy being able to track overall things like task-specific work minutes or hours, and adjusting them based on screenshots and activity. The tracking and screenshot features are something I particularly enjoy. The initial setup was very easy, actually.

Cons

So, basically, if it records, we can say screen share, video, that would be great. I need this feature.

Nothing short of amazing. Management/ time tracking tools are usually so complicated to use, they make your life more difficult instead of easier. Apploye solves that!

Pros

Great for planning and tracking the productive time spent by the development & sales team on different projects and activities. Perfect for understanding what the real cost of implementing a project inside the team. The UI is friendly, you quickly understand how to use the product, and perks like offline sync make it seamless to use

Haven't found anything not to like yet :)

There are a lot of similar apps out there, and if you need a robust app for time reporting for your staff, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Pros

It's relatively inexpensive and easy to use

Cons

The app doesn't provide reporting functionality to be able to export employee's timesheets in a way that allows you to identify tasks they are working on, which is essential if you need to use this beyond very basic applications. It also lacks important reminder notifications to turn tracking on/off so lots of time is often left untracked. Their support staff are not interested in product development and are dismissive when you ask when promised functionality will materialise.

Reason for choosing Apploye

It wasn't until we had started to use the application beyond basic functionality that its shortcomings become apparent.

Pros

I like the interface, overall features of the app, and mostly how easy it is to launch, start, and track my time flawlessly. I've been using the tool for almost 7 months, and I must say it hasn't disappointed me till now. The customer support is also lovely. A great tool to have if productivity is the priority.

Cons

I think it misses some minor features, like the unavailability of AI suggestions. It would've been nice to see a weekly summary with AI insights.

I consider this as one of my best software purchase in recent times.

Pros

Apploye served my employees time and productivity track from day one. Back-office teams and on-field members tracking is done efficiently. Whatever initial day niggles existed are all ironed out and now is a stable product.

Cons

Right now the platform does best what its suppose to do. Initial days of use we had little hickups with reporting for mgmt as it wasnt available on monthly basis. This is no more the case as monthly tracking is available.

I have realized that thanks to Apploye, I am now able to analyze how effective is my team. Another advantage is that based on thy analysis I was able to deduct what kind of activities are they doing and prioritize the activities which bring more revenue.

Pros

Due to current market dynamics, we had to transition from onsite work to remote work. Most of our employees are working from home now Apploye came in very handy to track the work of our remote employees. Great, they continued to make improvements, sometimes, I wish it was easier to manually modify time, but other than that, it is an amazing application for our use.

Pros

It was very affordable, and provided all the uses I needed for my agency. Support was always fast, and when we first started, it was glitchy, but they fixed all of those issues. Payroll for hourly employees is a breeze to monitor, pay, and track. Love this app for real. We couldn't as a new agency manage our growth without a tool like this.

Cons

Nothing, at first it would crash a lot, but the biggest problems have been fixed. So far i am very very happy, and have about 10 users on it and growing.

Our overall experience with Apploye has been excellent. The tool is reliable and easy to use, which is exactly what we need for time tracking across a growing remote team. But what really makes Apploye stand out is the support. When we encountered a billing issue caused by our bank, their team responded quickly, helped us identify the problem, and offered a short-term solution so our operations would not be interrupted. That level of care and responsiveness truly makes a difference. We are glad we chose Apploye and look forward to continuing with them.

We've been using Apploye for a few months now mainly for time tracking, and it's been a very smooth experience for our team of 10+. It's simple, effective, and gets the job done without unnecessary complexity. What really stood out recently was the support. We had a billing issue that turned out to be a problem on our bank's side, and Apploye had unexpectedly stopped working. I reached out to support to understand what happened, and they responded quickly and clearly. \[sensitive content hidden\], in particular, was very helpful and even offered to temporarily activate our account while we sorted out the issue. That kind of support is rare and really appreciated. It reassured us that we’re working with a team that genuinely cares about its users.

### "Lack of transparency & honesty leads to wasted time"

Friendly, responsive, and pandering is my unfortunate takeaway. Between two demos and two trials, I spent 4+ hours of time that was entirely avoidable if sales had been transparent about limitations around tasks even though I was exceptionally clear that without a decent import from Asana, including tasks/subtasks and due dates, the software wouldn't work for our business.

Pros

The two demos and multiple sales support interactions via chat were friendly and fairly responsive.

Cons

During the sales demos and my two subsequent trials, I directly asked about specific facets of the Asana integration like support for subtasks. I also mentioned that during my first trial the task due dates didn't seem to import. I was given friendly reassurances and placating words which led me to waste more hours of myself and another member of my team to set up a second demo, only to discover that tasks are very limited and as far as we can tell, only support a creation date and not a due date. In addition, task status did not import via the Asana integration, so Apploye showed ~82,000 open tasks. In addition, I ran into sporadic error notifications during testing (creating the second trial and setting up billing rates for a test project) that impeded my efforts to test the system to confirm it meets our needs.

Before Apploye, we had no consistent way to track actual hours spent on development tasks, which made it hard to judge productivity or plan sprints accurately. Most tracking was manual and often incomplete. Since using Apploye, we’ve gained clearer visibility into workload distribution, improved accountability within the team, and made more informed decisions about task planning and resource allocation.

Apploye has been quite useful for keeping track of how our small team spends time across development sprints and support tasks. Setup was quick, and we didn’t need much onboarding before everyone started using it. I mainly rely on it for visibility into daily activity and time allocation per task, which helps us stay aligned without constant check-ins.
