Been using it for years now, and we use it to monitor our most important jobs. This is something we monitor daily to ensure our core features are smooth. Literally no problem has ever occured due to Cron to Go, it has only helped me solve problems. Pros Have had 0 issues with cron to go. Makes Heroku a lot more valuable to use. Despite its affordable price, it has premium-level action buttons, logs, control, etc. Cons Can't think of anything I need added or changed. It's great. Pros It has the right features and is easy to setup. It took less than 10 minutes to publish all of the jobs I had waiting in the queue. Cons Nothing! We use it to send automated emails or to import data from some API on a regular basis. Pros It's very simple to use. Once our dev set up the environment I can, as a data scientist, do my job autonomously. Cons When some job fails it can happen that the logs are absent which can make debugging a bit hard. The way Heroku has implemented 2 Factor Authentication has caused a few problems. I had to rely on someone else sharing their device with me to sign in. The Webhooks for Slack alerts are really helpful and trustful, and save engineering time on developing alerting monitoring. Cons In alerts - filters, it's not possible to have "OR" clauses to decide on which jobs to trigger alerts, there's only "AND". Also, it's not possible to tie alerts to specific jobs (at least I didn't find out how to do that), alerts are tied to commands. I am also not aware if it integrates well with version control (through code), if not, would be a good add. Pros It's just super simple, love how dynamic the scheduling syntax is. Love how easy it was to just set up and run with Heroku. All around superb product. Cons Hard to say, I have definitely had an issue previously where I turned a job off then forgot. Obviously that's my fault but maybe an email notification to tell a given email when there is any kind of significant update (or if the cron fails for some reason? Does it do that?) The best part is their support is top notch. Every time I had a question, they were very prompt in answering and making sure their docs were updated.I've used other libraries like clockwork to set up our own scheduler, but crontogo replaces that with very little cost. Cons I realize that crontogo integrates with heroku, sometimes the jobs fails to start with a 143 error - which means that it received a SIGTERM from Heroku. Those are by far the most important things for a scheduling application. Cons If you aren't familiar with Cron, I could see how the UI could be a tad confusing at first. Rather than using the cron syntax, it would be nice to have an alternative. Setting the tasks up is really easy and you can be very specific thanks to the usage of Cron syntax. There is a preview for your syntax setup so you know exactly what the schedule will be.Loads of QOL features like running your task immediately, when it will next run, when it last run, pause your task and resume a task - all the essential stuff clearly visible and easily accessible. Cons The process has been so easy I haven't found any issues yet! It has been reliable since Day 1 and is pivotal to the success of our app. Cons Not much to dislike here. I would really enjoy an easy Slack integration for failed jobs but the webhooks and emails for failed job notifications suffice for now.
