My overall experience with WPML was very good, I trust the software and I fell like I am backed up, I feel there will be always someone to help if I get in trouble or have a question.
It makes making multilanguage websites easy. But what I appreciate the most is the great support.
The best Customer Support and the best RTL translation Plugin.
Well-designed; Compatible with many other popular WordPress plugins; Provides both comprehensive and precise control over translations.
Cons
Some of the features are difficult to grasp, there's a ton of options and it can be overwhelming.
Another issue, plugin updates sometimes crash the website. So I'm always scared to click the update button.
I just wanted to translate my website, but the WPML plug-in crash and don't apply my translations.
With large projects (+200 pages) it tends to be buggy in many situations and not working properly anymore. It gave me a lot of troubles.

Overall: I feel I made the right choice when choosing wpml to create a multilingual site
Pros: They have a great customer support team. Every time my website has problems related to wpml, they enthusiastically help me. They even wrote custom code for my website for free
Cons: I don't see any downside. WPML plugin is a perfect plugin

Overall: Excellent! Best multilanguage solution for WordPress in my opinion.
Pros: If set up properly, it works very well, and integrates well with oft-used plugins such as WooCommerce, ACF and WP All Import. Support is also excellent, in this case [sensitive content hidden] helped me very well. But as I have worked on a great number of WPML sites, I've often called upon support, and they always go above and beyond to help solve the problem.
Cons: Setting it up properly, and working with it, is a bit of a learning curve.
"Not recommended"
Overall: Nightmarish. There should be an option to have NO automatic translation at all, and an option to cast your signed-off translation in stone.
Pros: WPML is relatively quick to set up, and the main features are somewhat intuitive. For a small website, it might work well.
Cons: The automatic translation is a nightmare. Even if you choose "select what you choose" as your preferred option, the automatic translation feature still kicks in and tries to overwrite your previously edited translations (done by native speakers with expertise in the field). While it does not make any changes on the frontend (i.e. on the website itself), it provides the automatic translation in the editor - you do NOT see your own translation anymore. This makes the editor more or less useless. Also, the automatic translations are still machine-like and don't sound native at all. In some languages, there are even ungrammatical suggestions. In addition, the "supporters" are not helpful beyond very standard questions. Some of them even interrupted/stopped the connection - you then get the error message that the supporter is experiencing technical problems. When you try to open a new support ticket, the next supporter informs you to go back to the other one.

Cons: Initial Learning Curve: Though the interface is user-friendly, there may be a learning curve for beginners, especially when dealing with more advanced settings or integrating complex multilingual features. The support system requires significant improvement or a complete overhaul, from the moment a customer requests assistance, whether through live chat or by submitting a ticket, to the resolution of the issue.
