Great! I would recommend it especially for small companies. Support is friendly even though sometimes a bit complicated to understand.

Pros

Easy to use, flexible. good value for my money. The learning curve is managable. Automated translation is very good quality.

Cons

Sometimes too complicated in finding untranslated strings. Does not work well with some LMS systems.

Great experience from product to support! Flexible solution that’s easy to use and getting started with.

Pros

Great product, simple to use and fast to get started with. I’ve also been in contact with their support for various reasons, which they have always solved excellently. Just recently \[sensitive content hidden\] at the WPML support team helped me really professionally! Recommend WPML highly and also shout out to \[sensitive content hidden\] for amazing support.

Cons

Interface in the plugin could be a little bit better. Not a big issue, but would make it a bit easier to understand whilst getting started.

A very helpful tool – with a lot of very unnerving and time-wasting shortcomings. WPML-support is often misunderstanding issues in question.

Pros

That it helps me translate my website's content. And that I do have a good deal of control over my work.

Cons

It's very cumbersome: you have to install five different plugins. The user interface is very convoluted. It often leads to conflicts with other plugins or has its own deficiencies. E.g.: user roles are not working as supposed. Support with their Maiya AI Support is below par: it just does not understand and keeps repeating the same questions.

Happy with the outcome as they resolved all issues within 3 working days. This is much faster than other software providers.

Pros

The support resolved all 4 problems,some of them relating toothed interaction with another plugin (Divi)

Cons

Notification of response didn’t get to me in a timely fashion. This may be due to my set up but did delay some interaction.

WPML has made a huge difference to our website and allowed us to communicate with our Spanish speaking users. There have been times when I was unable to properly grasp where certain features where or understand how to make them work efficiently. Each time I have had to use customer support, I have found them to be very responsive and helpful. It may take two or three communications but the issue is always solved. The last customer service rep, Kor, was wonderful in assisting me in understanding how to navigate an issue. He took the time to explain everything and even included screen shots. I always feel confident that tech support will help me resolve an issue within a short time frame. I had looked at other translating software and have found WPML to be the best solution for our needs.

Pros

Simple and easy to translate our entire website to Spanish which opened up our website to our Spanish speaking users.

Cons

It can be a little difficult to navigate but once you grasp where everything is, it's easy to use.

I have a project (still in progress) whose website we translated into three languages using WPML, and this plugin saved us a lot of time when it came to the content. We were impressed by the way translations can be created and how flexible they are to configure, etc.

Pros

Flexibility and compatibility, as well as super-fast support in our language. Plus, the excellent ticket system and support staff who patiently answer all questions.

Cons

So far, I haven't found anything I don't like. I don't think there will be anything else to complain about either.

Nightmarish. There should be an option to have NO automatic translation at all, and an option to cast your signed-off translation in stone.

Pros

WPML is relatively quick to set up, and the main features are somewhat intuitive. For a small website, it might work well.

Cons

The automatic translation is a nightmare. Even if you choose "select what you choose" as your preferred option, the automatic translation feature still kicks in and tries to overwrite your previously edited translations (done by native speakers with expertise in the field). While it does not make any changes on the frontend (i.e. on the website itself), it provides the automatic translation in the editor - you do NOT see your own translation anymore. This makes the editor more or less useless. Also, the automatic translations are still machine-like and don't sound native at all. In some languages, there are even ungrammatical suggestions. In addition, the "supporters" are not helpful beyond very standard questions. Some of them even interrupted/stopped the connection - you then get the error message that the supporter is experiencing technical problems. When you try to open a new support ticket, the next supporter informs you to go back to the other one.

WPML is quite complex, but I rarely have had any bugs or issues with the software.

Pros

It is a solution that makes it possible that I can use fully multilingual websites.

Cons

It might slow down websites a bit, but I did not have any serious issues.

It covers everything we need - and we need a lot of it. We're a web design agency from Croatia and a lot of our clients want to have their websites in multiple languages. WPML has it all. It is simple enough to use it, and complex enough in order to be a real, robust language translation plugin. WPML is the best in my opinion when it comes to website language translation. Hands down.

Pros

I specifically love their automatic translation option where we don't need to hire translators - everything is done automatically and then client double-checks the translation. If it needs to be corrected, it can be done manually.

Cons

I encountered some glitches but it was swiftly dealt with because they have an amazing customer support. Specifically, \[sensitive content hidden\] was the one who helped me with fixing the issue in the shortest time possible. And he was very pleasant to communicate with.

Overall good, we had a translation go down due to a translated page being set to draft. We had no idea that would be a problem but WPML's tech support helped tremendously. \[sensitive content hidden\] helped us get back on track.

Pros

Great that you can set and forget translations (though be careful and have someone who can verifythe translations). Lots of options on the backend Pay-as-you-go so you are only charged for what you need.

Cons

There are a LOT of options, so it's a bit confusing, especially if you're not an expert in WordPress already

Great support. Quite solid, reliable software. It's really the only decent solution for running multilingual Wordpress sites.

Pros

It works to translate almost anything in Wordpress. One way or another WPML gets it done. Their support is excellent. Knowledgeable, hard working and reliable. I've gone to them a bunch of times for problems big and small. Always worth while. My latest exchange with Bigul was exemplary. His support made it possible to use a more elegant solution for re-using content on my site which will save me hours over the life of the design.

Cons

Some of those ways that WPML 'gets it done' are possibly a bit too difficult for end users

Cons

It's a big plugin, perhaps a little complex to configure. Future versions should perhaps offer the possibility of making it easier to use, for example by deactivating the translation flow through external translators. Still a few problems with the advanced editor of WPML.

Currently (2025/2/18), only the Beta version of GPT automatic translation is supported, along with the optional DeepL automatic translation.
