May 26, 2024 5.0 Pros It is a very powerful tool in translating almost anything on your website including the WordPress theme you are using as well as lots of WPML-compatible plugins. Sometimes, it even translates plugins which have not yet been approved by WPML as compatible plugins. Cons I find the product not intuitive and not easy to use at first. Perhaps the reason behind this is the fact that WPML provides a huge set of features for translating websites and this comes at the cost of simplicity and ease of use. I highly encourage any new user of this plugin to fully read the installation documentation. Do not make the mistake of treating this plugin like other plugins by clicking here and there. By doing so you might be losing lots of word credits and later you will face lots of technical issues. READ THE INSTALLATION AND USE DOCUMENTATION BEFORE USING THIS PLUGIN. Review Source NY Nadia Y. Pros It is flexible, I had half an hour with an engineer that showed the steps and a brief - and enough - how to, so I could customise my site. The first time I needed a support, it was prompt and well helped, it was fast, straight to the point and what I was taught did work! :-) Cons I cannot tell really, because whatever I feel like it is difficult, at the end it is difficult because I don;t know enough. If you work frequently with multi-language websites and WordPress, I cannot recommend anything else. WPML is simply the best, and the support is outstanding. Cons some of the features are difficult to grasp, there's a ton of options and it can be overwhelming. Reason for choosing WPML I don't know about other products, but I tried making websites with other things than WordPress, and when it's multi-language, WPML is just the best. It can be easily modified to fit any website. The support is excellent. I had a compatibility issue with my theme but \[sensitive content hidden\] from their support team solved my problem perfectly and very quickly. Cons Having lots of customisable variables comes with a steep learning curve. But once you have mastered the plugin, using it becomes second nature. Other than that, there were some compatibility issues with other plugins. But as I said in the pros section, the support team is very efficient.
