Recently, we even had to migrate from on prem to azure installation . The associate involved was knowledgeable and walked me through (step by step) to configure the settings at our part. Even when the azure resources on our company side were not readily available, power on folks rearranged their schedules to work with us and complete the installation at the earliest. Once installed, the visuals are pretty useful to interact with databases so you don't have to develop a separate application for viewing and entering the data to backend. Definitely recommend the tool for dashboard development and reporting. Pros Our business has been using this product for quite sometime now. Main highlight is their customer support. Over the years, we've had issues with application use, new installation etc. and they have responded quickly to all the queries. They even connected remotely and walked me through error resolution in their visual planner product, which we use for Power BI dashboard developing and reporting, even when we were on different time zones. The tool is easy to use once installed and avoids high maintenance as opposed to other applications for the same purpose. Cons The application we use (Visual Planner) sometimes lags when dealing with large data. The load time of visuals is also high if the table has huge data. I would recommend using PowerON's tools if you are looking to bring an extra aspect of functionality, customization, or interactivity to your BI solutions. Pros PowerON offers a great suite of tools to bring extra interactivity and functionality to your BI dashboards. It has eliminated the need for manual tracking in spreadsheets and has created a better user experience for several different use cases. The team at InsightSoftware is extremely responsive and supportive in helping you build out new solutions with their tools. Cons At times, we've had slight issues with performance and speed of the solution, but that is to be expected with any direct query style visuals that have as much capability as these visuals. The renewal process was a bit frustrating. Pros The Power On suite of custom visuals offers many exciting new ways to utilize Power BI. It will allow for an easier user experience in many cases, and eliminate complicated data entry workarounds using excel and other methods. Cons There are many configuration options available in a visual. These options provide the ability to achieve a custom look and feel, but learning how to setup the visual settings can be complicated.
