November 8, 2022 5.0 The main benefit I have realized while using Discord is, ease of communication with a large amount of people. It has made for an overall amazing experience. Pros I am very satisfied with how Discord works. I am able to easily manage a virtual hockey league with over 50 people in it. It is so incredibly convenient for communication with a lot of people. Cons There are no cons that I have to say about this software. Everything runs very smoothly and is very easy to use. My overall experience is nothing but good! Pros I use Discord for gaming like everyone else and it does that so well. I honestly also prefer to use it for remote meetings and demonstrations etc because it is actually far better to use than Zoom. The interface is easier to understand, much cleaner and more pleasing to the eye than Zoom. It seems more reliable and stable than Zoom. It is hard to get other people to use it this way as they don’t see it as a business platform - which it isn’t but it can fill that role really well and it does all this for free. Cons There isn’t anything about Discord that I don’t like, it really is an excellent solution. It certainly does the Task. Thank you! Cons Sometimes no or less notification are there. Notification has no sound as well sometime. I think this is the only one issue we felt all the time. It has also made it easy for me to organize events with my clients and customers. Pros I was looking for a way to keep my remote team on the same page and decided to give discord a try. It's very user friendly and they've done a great job at making sure it's easy to use. I love the voice chat option and being able to call up the team on audio. It became our virtual office. And also you can set restrictions. Cons There are no cons to using this software but to share the large files you have to purchase nitro. The max size is only 8MB in the free tier. I do not use it on the serious projects, but on the pet projects that I do with colleagues who are also my childhood friends. Pros It feels very close to heart for all of us who enjoy online gaming. It is the first modern communication tool that I used and using it feels so familiar, like returning to a warm home after years abroad. Discord is the way to go if you need to maintain a community or just have a very small team to organize. Cons It is geared towards gaming, not business.
