Its greatest strength is the ease of connecting with other users. Compared to other messaging applications out there, Discord is easily the best voice chatting application with the utilization of voice channels which provides a way to voice chat with others in a server without disturbing other users. Restrictions with the free version is not a hindrance since you will get the most out of its features if not all major features for free. Utilization of the text channels allows for a more organized chat since multiple text channels can be created. For gaming, this is easily the best messaging application for all. Screen Sharing while gaming is really good and no other messaging apps can even come close to. Cons While I did praise its screen sharing for gaming, other than that, it is a bit janky. For situations that an application needs to be multi-windowed, Discord becomes buggy to the point where screen sharing becomes useless and unusable. Screen Sharing is crucial for educational, business, and formal meetings. With this issues, however, Discord is not ideal for educational, business, and formal meetings. Pros totalmente recomendable para compartir contenido multimedia, para compartir pantalla y realizar trabajos online a tiempo real y resolver problemas técnicos a distancia. En el mundo del gaming es la mas recomendada para comunicación en tiempo real por llamada de voz y videollamadas. También es sumamente recomendable para gestión de comunidades y grupos numerosos, ya que en cada servidor ofrecen la posibilidades de seccionar contenidos por temas , por chat de voz y texto y aun mas funciones que lo convierten en el software de comunicación mas completo hasta la fecha. One of them is the multiple emojis and the ready to use gifs. I also liked that you can select your online status since there are times when you do not want others to know your are active/inactive. The visual appearance is also minimalist, that's why I like it. Cons I hope there could soon be a feature where you can directly record and send a voice message. Also, there is a limit to the photo/video data that you can send (up to 8mb only), unless paid/upgraded to nitro. I've made many a memory on Discord, with friends, family and other people I've enjoyed talking too. It's the perfect place to socialize, work, joke, cry, enjoy and get stuff done on. Discord, I would say, is for you. Pros Discord is a wonderful communication, community and call your friends a/an (INSERT CURRENTLY TRENDING OBSCURE TERM THAT NO ONE UNDERSTANDS UNTIL ITS NOT POPULAR ANYMORE) tool and space for everything you can think of. It's good for industry, keeping up with co workers tasks and and building community. It's good for just sending as many videos to each other until someone screams, or playing games with each other with screen sharing. This is the all-in-one package, with the total price of a pocket holes net worth. I recommend it, for everyone! Cons File sharing... and occasionally bugs. Also having to troubleshoot your own mistakes and/or lack of knowledge. But that's pretty much it. There are occasionally (not very often) also bad bots who try to scam you, or send explicit content. But yeah, I would ask Discord to make file sharing more versatile for non-paid (Discord Nitro) users, but if not, it's still a good platform and tool. While Discord is aimed at gamers, it offers features that benefit businesses too. A great feature is user permission management in servers. Roles can be added to users that restrict their access to certain channels and performing certain actions. Voice channels are a great alternative to video calls as anyone can turn on their camera or share their screen to the call. Cons The 8MB file upload limit can mean that some images and most videos are too big to send into a channel. Discord Nitro doesn't yet offer enough features to be worth the price. É possível personalizar canais e dividi-los por assunto e tópico, assim como realizar ótimas chamadas de vídeo ou voice com boa conexão. Cargos de administração podem ser distribuídos para que os grupos se tornem mais organizados e dentro das normas estabelecidas. It also gives the opotunity to me to host studying groups with a few colleagues weekly. Pros The best thing about Discord is that it is messager app and also similar to a social community. It allows me to have group messages, group discussions, "#" to click and find topics. Voice/video calls are great. Cons A shame is that group video/calls is not up to 50 participants/members even if you pay the Premium version. Also, I don't like the idea of it being so hard to use (in the beginning I had to watch online videos to fully understand) which took me a few days to understand the way this software works. Pros As having been both a moderator and Server owner, I have spent countless hours organizing this social space--creating channels and adjusting settings--so that fellow members can seamlessly interact with each other over a variety of topics pertinent at the time. For example, they can enter a general discussion Channel, or enter a Channel made specifical to answering questions. This makes Discord highly unique, and extremely versatile. Cons To this day, I still do not completely understand the benefit of paying for specific 'Pro' level features of the platform.
