We were very happy to discover that Syften allows us to achieve exactly what we were trying to accomplish. Pros We are able to track keywords and brand mentions inside Reddit. We also connected Syften to Slack, so receiving notifications fits into our existing workflow. Cons There are no cons to mention at this time Review Source MM Michael M. Pros I check Syften daily to find out how our brand name (we are a startup) is growing across social media and online forums. The results are fantastic: public mentions boost our team morale, allows us to interact with our customers where they are, and we even include Syften mentions in our marketing material as evidence of our growth and interest from consumers. I also appreciate how the Syften team responds to our requests. For example, we wanted them to add some more sources that are specific to our industry, and the turn-around time was just a few days!I love checking Syften every morning for our fresh mentions. It's so easy to use - I just set it up and forget about it. It quietly monitors my keywords in the background, and the daily emails regularly alert me to actionable items that meet my given criteria. It's been a huge time saver for me, and I've been really impressed with how well it works. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable, easy-to-use solution to monitor keywards online. Cons There's always room for improvement with any software product. A couple cons to the current solution are: 1) There's no way to schedule what time you receive the daily email alerts; 2) There's no option for applying filter subsets (keywords + operands) globally to all filters, which can be a minor pain if you have a lot of filters and need to tweak a filter that applies to them all. Pros I like that it provides a compact and powerful language for framing standing search queries. I can immediately test a new query against a cache of existing comments to get feedback on the quality of results. The daily report is compact so that multiple identical posts are cleverly summarized into a single reference. Cons A full search of twitter and LinkedIn would be helpful but I understand those services resist external search. Reason for choosing Syften quality of results, cost effective. Michal is always responsive to our emails and builds new features when we make requests. Being a customer of Syften feels like he's a part of our development team. Pros Syften's social listening is near-instant and its webhooks enable us to put it to use immediately. With Syften, we're able to listen and respond to 100 queries at once. It's one of our favorite and most powerful tools. Cons We only wish we could use it more. Syften's filter limit is 100 and we'd love to have more running! I get nearly real time alerts into Slack for mentions of our brand and keywords within community sites where our users hang out. We have been able to answer questions from people who preferred to post on Reddit or StackOverflow instead of contacting our support directly. Feature requests are quickly added. Cons Wish it covered the whole web, but I don't think that's so reasonable at this point in time. Sometimes there are too many results, but I manage by filtering them into different slack channels. Syften enabled us keep an eye on topics related to our products without spending hours on browsing all possible websites. Pros Great support! We needed to watch some not-yet-monitored websites. Got them added really quickly. Simple yet powerful configuration. Cons It's only as smart as the filters you set up. I appreciate the different filter syntax features. When I'm getting too many or irrelevant alerts, there is usually a way to tweak the filters to exclude the unwanted alerts.
