Among the no-code folks, it's a safe bet to say that only the rather tech-savvy tier will be able to find their way in this tool, but it's definitely worth the effort. The learning curve may seem intimidating at first and the results are sometimes less spectacular than expected, but it's a readily available tool that can save the day when other no-code tools just won't work. Pros Web Scraper is very thorough and will help you get out of many an awkward situation. When your target site is too exotic for PhantomBuster and you can't be bothered to set up properly the sometimes-labytinthine Octoparse, this tool will help you out! It integrates easily within Google Chrome's developer tools. Also, you get a choice of csv of xlsx format files to save your data. Cons For a no code tool, Web Scraper is rather demanding and you'll have to face a learning curve before you can get proper results out of it. The absence of a proper graphical interface for the scraped data tree may seem intimidating at first, but you soon find your way. Also, sometimes (especially with poorly-made websites and directories) you may have a hard time getting already discriminated data. Cons L’aspetto da migliorare del software è legato al blocco che lo stesso incontra in caso di errore. Nel momento in cui non riesce ad estrarre informazioni da una determinata pagina si blocca e non prosegue con i task che gli erano stati indicati. Sarà e opportuno superare questo scoglio, consentendo all’estensione di completare il lavoro anche in presenza di errori. Pros A decent option for web scraping / data extraction from websites. It's relatively easy to use; those without deep knowledge in this area can still set up and execute tasks. The scheduling options are also a big bonus here. Cons There are some specific problems with more complex websites, or websites that differ significantly in structure. This can cause issues, but can ultimately be worked around as long as the setup is done correctly - but this obviously adds time to the overall process.
