I would have given it four stars if they had the ability to provide some type of phone support. Some of the documentation is not nearly as technical as we would like it to be. Overall the platform is easy to use, intuitive and serves its purpose well. Given that you can't talk to a live person, I've had to use chat often. Once you hook up with someone in chat, they are pretty responsive.

Pros

The platform is easy to set up and use. While there isn't an option to speak with someone live, once I got into their messaging queue, I did receive prompt replies.

Cons

The hike in price from their "Business" to "Enterprise" plans is steep. At the corp level, when we onboard a new employee or have a hardware refresh, the biggest roadblock is that they do not offer a mechanism to capture the signature of the employee that is receiving the hardware and having that Technology Agreement be sent to more than one individual.

Reason for choosing BlueTally

We would have gone the route of Asset Panda because it had more pertinent integrations that we could have used and provided us with a way to capture end user signatures and have that distributed to more than one person. However, I was out on medical leave and mgmt went with a lower cost solution instead of Asset Panda.

### "Almost exactly what I would design"

Started with a demo a couple months back, then finally got in a position to run the 14-day trial which really helped me sell the product to the rest of the team and then to upper management to get funding. Implementation is still a work in progress, but that Intune integration gives us a HUGE head start.

Pros

It's intuitive; has a great feature set for inventory, excellent integrations and flexibility. Also really like that there's no cost per asset like some platforms I evaluated

Cons

I'd like to see more video tutorials on specific functions on their YouTube channel or in a customer portal. They have a pretty good documentation base, but it's not as comprehensive as a new user might like -- plus bite size video tutorials on specific functions are easily digestable and help you accomplish what you're trying to do right now.

Reason for choosing BlueTally

Autotask is great help desk platform, but their inventory is really designed for an MSA, not internal IT department. It's click heavy, cumbersome, and convoluted. The other apps we considered were too expensive, or, in the case of Aterra, only made sense if we used the rest of their suite, but we really like Kaseya. Many of the apps we looked at had a 'per asset' charge or buckets '399 per month up to XX number of assets', 499 per month up to YY number of assets, etc.

I started less than 30 minutes and i already had an overview over my environment and found devices where i didn\`t know that i miss them. support is fast and helpful

Pros

Fast setup, compared of the systems open and closed source, onprem and SaaS that i tested, this was the most comprehensive system and the only one where Intune sync works out of the box and the only system where i can grab infos from Dell.

Cons

That there is so much space for future features and i can\`t help make this happen. this system is is made for something big. and that i found it by accident via AI and not via a search in google.

Bluetally is a great, easy to use software which has allowed us to get rid of excel sheets into one simple solution.

Pros

Ease of use and integrations with Jamf and Intune. Also educational pricing is very reasonable for the businesses plan.

Cons

Would love the ability to scan old barcodes within an mobile app for quick asset tracking when doing bulk audits.

Quick to set up especially with Intune - quick to be productive on the platform. Self-service would be nice on the lower tiers, but we can do without it.,

Pros

Simplicity in managing assets, licenses and setting up role-based accounts. Out-of-the-box experience is great. Pricing is reasonable.

Cons

Only Lenovo and Dell warrant integration, Asus, Acer, are not included by default. Would be nice to have integrations to these as well.

Overall my experience has been positive, again I like how quickly I was able to get started. I'm hopeful that continued improvements and upgrades will be rolled out.

Pros

I like that you can get started with BlueTally very quickly. The overall product is pretty intuitive and does not need a lot of build out or setup.

Cons

It would be nice if there was some more customization. It should be possible to customize the dashboard. Also, the scrolling on the webpages is pretty annoying, you should not need to scroll so much to access the headers and the bottom page features.

I am very pleased with the user experience and ease of use. They understand how things need to be tracked/handled for a variety of inventories and have executed that capability nearly flawlessly.

Pros

Very pleased with the Kandji integration as well as SCIM support. This product has already transformed our business and we've been using it for q week now.

Cons

There have been some minor QoL nitpicks, such as needing text to wrap on labels, and converting items to another type. Have yet to find a significant hinderance for our business.

BlueTally was effortless to setup, and mostly automated with few exceptions. Customer support has been quick to respond and helpful.

Pros

BlueTally was very easy to setup. I was able to get all my integrations and devices uploaded in minutes. BlueTally does ITAM right without overcomplicating things.

Cons

While BlueTally is simple to use, a few features aren't as robust as I would like. Audits could be improved, and licenses don't have much value atm.

It's been positive. I was suprised at how quickly I was able to get our assets into the system and start seeing meaningful reports.

Pros

I was able to setup employee syncing via SCIM, single sign-on, Intune, and Jamf Pro integrations in less than an hour. The options are intuitive and it's easy to setup depreciation.

Cons

I had issues uploading one particular asset spreadsheet, but support was quick to help me resolve the issue.

I just started using the platform. I should be able to give a detailed comment in a few months.

Pros

I particularly like the combination of managing assets and Groceries with low stock notifications. We were using 2 different softwires for these tasks and it was very cumbersome.

Cons

So far the interface. I wish I could personalise the interface and add our logo.

I'd have liked an easier way to categorise devices - i can do it by model, but i'd like to have a seperate category at a glance in the asset list - even if it meant having a category linked to a department would be good.

The pre-sales experience was pretty good once we finally got to a person. That person was able to answer our questions conversationally via email and we got what we needed in just 2 email exchanges.

Pros

BlueTally has been mostly ready-to-go out of the box. We were moving from a SharePoint List structure that had been built-out pretty nicely, but changes were needed for Automation and that would have required a lot of man-power to build out. We were able to get it out of the box with BlueTally. The Integrations (InTune, Jira, Jamf, Teams Channels) is AWESOME.

Cons

The price of BlueTally increases moderately for some Integrations that I wish we built into ALL plans (Jira, for example). The price to be able to customize some things (like the Top Menu Bar options) requires a custom Enterprise plan. We can work around it -- but it would be nice to have more relevant options in the Top Menu Bar.

The support is great, they got back to me to answer all my questions and also responded really well to feedback.They are also considering my feature requests and already changed some things that made it easier for me to use.

Pros

It has all the bells and whistles that I needed for keeping track of all the assets that we hand out to people, before this we tried different solutions that were way too bloated for our needs, and also way too expensive BlueTally falls right into that spot where it does not overwhelm me as a user and still provides all necessary functions.Also, the free trial was so easy to set up no "Call us for a demo" or hiding pricing where you first have to spend hours on a sales call, the trail lets you play around and this really helped me with understanding what the features are and also the limits.The integrations are also really useful, for example the AD-Integration which syncs your users into the application, with this we do not need to maintain two lists with the same data, but just let them Sync into BlueTally

Cons

The localization still could be better, mostly little things like the ability to change the date format to something that suits my needs more, but I already spoke with the support about it, and they even started to make small changes which really helped me, so it's getting better.Otherwise, it's just small features and ease of life things which I believe will get better with time, right now the search for example does not work for custom fields, or you can't force a sorting order to say always see the latest added asset at the top.But in my opinion these are just nitpicks, otherwise i would not have chosen it.

It's been great so far, nothing that pushes me from the platform. The site and tools are helpful and the customer support has been great.

Pros

The feature I list the most is how easy it is to assign items to and from employees and locations. It couldn't be easier.

Cons

The three main features I would love to see is;1. A universal search bar at the top of the page, which could search for everything and give you the best result.2. Self auditing tool to send an email to employees with items checked out asking them if they still have the device, if it's still fit for purpose etc.3. Deployable agent that can be installed on devices which would gather information on the device.

Pros

I like the ease of use with the product and the well documented API. I am using the API to completely customize and automate our licensing check-in and check-out process. I appreciate the pricing structure is publically visible to everyone, making the approval process very easy without having to talk to a sales representative. Every time I reach out to support, \[sensitive content hidden\] is responding within 1 day if that.

Cons

When you are doing certain things, such as checking something out for an employee in the employee section, it takes you to the product that you just checked out instead of back to the employee. Just some odd navigation within the product. I would also like the settings page to be better where it's not all one page and scroll to find what you need rather have things sectioned off within the settings such as synchronization options, general settings, etc. I feel that there should be sub-locations also added for some IT assets, we have an office that is quite large with multiple IT closets and having just 1 location (Chicago) for all of these doesn't seem useful. I know that I can create additional locations, but that doesn't feel the same, so I can't do reporting for Chicago and see all the Chicago devices I would have to include those sub locations for the reporting. I'd be happy to have a call or meeting with someone to go over my ideas and automations that I have built for the product to maybe include in that in the next releases of BlueTally.

Easy to use - imported our assets from an Excel spreadsheet quite seamlessly and now we can use BT for everything moving forward. Finding what you need is quick and easy and the UI is clean/easy to navigate.

Pros

Integration with Intune and JAMF - always refreshing assets which means we don't have to do as much manual work. Very easy to use and find assets. Reporting works great as well. This is simple in the best way as you don't have to waste a lot of time looking through too many columns and rows to find what you need.

Cons

Not much to add. I've had a few very niche requests regarding custom fields that BT has been able to help with on the backend. It's a very refreshing experience when you ask for help with something that isn't in the live product, and instead of being told "We're sorry, we don't support that service at this time", BlueTally actually helped me achieve what I needed anyway. Very rare these days...thanks for the great support!
