Pros
The cost and ease of use for the field individuals is very good. Mobile functionality is easy to navigate and data does sync without any major issues.
Very good, customer service from all departments is to a high standard. All products are very good in the construction game everyone uses them daily and it makes our work/job easier.
The best site Quality Assurance software for Construction sites.
Easy to navigate and work through. Good to share information between internal and external companies.
Cons
This software was not directly connected to Vista or Team. It was a stand alone product from Viewpoint.
The admin side and getting users into the system was a major pain for deployment.
Although fedback at the start its still the same 2 years later. If we leave the system in October we would have to download the data or pay for a viewing license- It's terrible.
Poor training, very poor drawn out support, very expensive system which underdelivers in pretty much all areas.

"High quality and efficient"
Pros: The software is highly intuitive, featuring a user-friendly interface that ensures ease of use. Additionally, it is fully functional offline, eliminating the need for an internet connection to operate effectively.
Cons: When splitting the project into subprojects, the dashboard data remains consistent across all subprojects, ensuring uniformity in reporting and analysis. If a form contains both tables and standalone questions, downloading the daily analysis will result in at least two separate files, making it necessary to combine these files to view the complete information for a single form.
"It works as intended"
Overall: Field View is one of those products that are hard to setup, and very solid there after. We've had minimal issues have the system was setup to our liking. Most issues were either user error and rare ones that were not we delt with quickly by support. The menu structure is something that could use some work.
Pros: The main reason we use Field View is that we intent to have it connected to our other Viewpoint products for easy syncing. Everything works as it's intended. Once everything has been setup, issues are rare and most can be resolved by tweaking form that were made by Operations.
Cons: The 2 biggest cons of this product are cost and it's not easy to setup.
"Very Disappointed with very expensive product"
Overall: Initially we thought this platform would be perfect for us, as our partners had been using it sucessfully- there was no trial period granted but we signed up for 3 years Unlimited user. Although it has helped with our 40 or so H&S forms and Checksheets, these could have been done with another Form designer that costs 100th of the monthly cost, with mobile and tablet support feeding into Sharepoint lists etc. It's very hard to justify staying with this system when there are much better competitor products such as SnagR.
Pros: The snagging feature is the only feature worth mentioning - however the ardous calibration process to define areas before this can be used is crazy. Other competitor products do not require this long drawn out very time consuming process. Forms are very basic and do not give functionality of other forms designers eg you cannot add an image!
Cons: Poor training, very poor drawn out support, very expensive system which underdelivers in pretty much all areas. Although functional to a degree, the interface is outdated, partially converted, developments and requests are sooo slow to action by Viewpoint including the progress report which stopped working for MONTHS! - Inconsistent butons eg Delet in one screen deletes whilst in another it merely de-selects but doesnt delete. Although fedback at the start its still the same 2 years later. If we leave the system in October we would have to download the data or pay for a viewing license- It's terrible.
"Viewpoint Field View Review"
Overall: Overall our experiences were good. We were able to get more users involved in filling out and correcting issues and even doing forms on a regular basis.
Pros: Once you got past the setup the ease of use was simple. We had tons of buy in from subs and foremen on all jobs to use this product.
Cons: The admin side and getting users into the system was a major pain for deployment.
"Viewpoint Field View"
Overall: We do not use it anymore. We evaluated and are using Autodesk Build now.
Pros: Our field users liked the product and it worked well.
Cons: The setup of users is a pain. This software was not directly connected to Vista or Team. It was a stand alone product from Viewpoint. Could not right RFI's in Field View. Had to do this in Team.
"Fieldview Review"
Overall: Very difficult to set-up, create forms etc, Assistance was sought few years ago and was offered at price to expensive to company. It now looks like company is moving to Synchro but it my not be too late to reign in if creation of forms for 'Quality Checks' could be mobilised.
Pros: Emails data, outputs and reports to Viewpoint - reducing admin around records
Cons: Horrific Set-up time and difficulty levels.
"outstanding product "
Overall: very good, customer service from all departments is to a high standard. all products are very good in the construction game everyone uses them daily and it makes our work/job easier
Pros: i like the high level of customer service we get if something needs sorting or we need help. the constant development of the products with all the updates and releases making all the small changes that make huge different
Cons: when im working fast on ipad it crashes sometimes
"Returned customer"
Pros: We have used Fieldview for over 5 years in the industry, noticing more and more taking on this software. It is easy to use alongside other users, sharing fields and forms. It's user friendly for workers out on the field.
Cons: not able to remove users that appear on the distribution list when allocated to the project at any capacity, creating a long list to go through each time.
"Functional but needs improvement "
Overall: Our company implemented field view for Punchlist and Quality Management first. From there it was expanded to forms like time and material sheets for subcontractors. We also used it as a notification / request system to the project owner in some instances. We took several forms required by the owner and digitized them in FieldView to create more automated processes. Overall we have found that the system has some of the features we need but simply not enough ability to be customized completely.
Pros: Punchlists, forms with workflows, integrated photos
Cons: Customization of tasks and forms were limited and challenging to figure out. Notification settings can’t be modified -I.e sends at 2am only 1x
"Construction software solutions"
Pros: mobile functionality, enabling on-site data capture and real-time collaboration
Cons: While customization is a strength, complex configurations might be challenging for some users
"PC compatible "
Overall: I think Field View Relies to heavily on battery and Internet. Field View desperately needs full functionality on PC.
Pros: Less paperwork. Easily accessible for all parties
Cons: Field view, full functionality can only be using in tablet form. Not all documentation in construction across all parties use field view meaning alot of information required for our field view documents is on the PC making the process long winded and tedious as the tablet needs to be connected to the PC allow for transfers. If field view had full functionality on PC it would make the hole experience a lot smoother. Also having the ability to print a blank document from Field View would be beneficial. Over the year we've had a couple of experience where the tablet has run out of juice during a safe start. And a couple of times where the Internet in the area is not good or has gone down, this will not allow Field View to open as the tablet requires a sync before opening. Again not good during a safe start or during a QA check with the client.
"A good software to use in the construction field. "
Pros: - Ease of Use. - Easy to track. - Storage of documents. - Good notification system.
Cons: - Multiple log in pages. - Quick enforced automatics log off. - Not working on some sites. - Help line takes long.
"Viewpoint review"
Pros: Easy to read and manage between tasks. I use this app daily for work.
Cons: Freezes frequently. Gets hung up, many times items and time entered do not stay and need to be re-entered.
"Performs but not particularly user friendly"
Pros: Relatively simple to use. Once know way around can be simple
Cons: Syncing poor, notifications excessive and not necessarily always relevant. Adding snags long winded and cumbersome
"Great for field reporting"
Overall: Difficult learning curve and not an easy ‘sell’ to the users initially but it does help field reporting
Pros: App works essentially offline which is good for our sites where comms is an issue
Cons: Unable to customise the output reports from the default format
"Viewpoint review"
Pros: Easy to access and load into the different files.
Cons: The search bar doesnt search the required documents.
"Quality and Health and Safety records at the touch of a finger while out of the office"
Overall: As a tool is has the features we need to manage the critical quality and safety information to deliver a project.
Pros: The ability to work with the application in blind spots offline and sync when a connection is available suing any of the mobile devices we have at our disposal.
Cons: Getting Subcontractors to buy into using it.
"Galostar "
Overall: It works for us as a business
Pros: Helpdesk is very helpful Training is very informative
Cons: It was very difficult to understand initially. Also the fact there are two versions old and new. Its also the fact that you cant get the same views on tablets as on a PC.
"Viewpoint Field View review Feb 2022"
Overall: brilliant piece of software, use daily and is very easy to understand the basics with little to no training needed. upload times need looking at as sometimes it takes 10+ mins to upload one PDF
Pros: very easy to switch from project to project, new users can be added quickly. frequent updates keep it fresh
Cons: uploading drawings/ pdf can take a long time, replacing drawings/ pdf takes even longer
"Feedback review from RLUH "
Pros: Easy to navigate and work through. Good to share information between internal and external companies
Cons: Sync times where long but that could be network issue rather than programme
"Task and Form Management "
Pros: The system is user-friendly, for administrators and users
Cons: Not being able to schedule tasks, or have reoccurring tasks. Task scheduling to allow reoccurring tasks would be really useful for asset management
"Fieldview in construction "
Pros: simple use of forms project set up and processes status of forms viewed under reports
Cons: can take a while to learn setting up project processes integration into new fieldview
"Viewpoint Field View is an economical but not very robust field management tool"
Pros: The cost and ease of use for the field individuals is very good. Mobile functionality is easy to navigate and data does sync without any major issues.
Cons: Set up process is a bit difficult for the limited functionality of the tool. The lack of integration with Viewpoint Teams is also a detriment.
"Fieldview Snagging"
Pros: excellent product, simple to use, with all drawings on the system.
Cons: the re-syncing time of the software on the tablet takes time to happen.
"Fieldview "
Pros: Really useful tool to help comply with all the requirements of clients and specifications. Once set up, it will help with all the snagging and tasks
Cons: You have to use Fieldview classic to edit or make some changes to the forms which isn't set out the best way and can be confusing.
