It was the first platform we used for generating extra revenue and it helped a lot. Pros Google Adsense is low barrier tool for a publisher in every size to start growing revenue via ad serving through a website. It is relatively easy to start with and they also have options to let Google test different ad types etc to make sure you get the best out of the platform. Implementation is easy, setting up the account is not rocket science and it does not take a long time until you can start making money from your traffic. Analytics side is also straightforward and good addition to GA4 as it gives you additional information which you could also use for negotiating direct deals. Cons 1\. As a publisher from a small country the traffic is mostly local and ad revenue source is also local user. Adsense gives you an opportunity to be a part of a large network, however it is not targeting those small markets. 2. Compering it with Setupad for example - it does not have as good support as similar platforms. If you are a smaller publisher with limited resources it is always good to have a platform which provides at least some customer success management. Pros Setting up the ads on your website is very easy, placing the Adsense code in header, if you opt in for automatic placement the ads will show in the most relevant places. If you dont want auto ads placing the desired ad format in the content is made with adding a small code there. The payments are made faster than other ads network is from what I saw is higher. Cons Terms and Conditions might be a little ambiguous and approving the website can take some time. Pros Is easy to setup and ads are showing immediately after setup. In 2024 the shared revenue has increased and the way AdSense displaying ads maximize the revenue. I can say it is the best. Cons The payments are made next month after you pass the payments threshold. When adding a new website and is rejected they won\`t tell you the reason for the rejection, just send you an email that the website violates Terms and Conditions, even if is not.
