Thankfully we found AppO so now our decisions are made simply, regardless of complexity and in a much shorter timeframe that without AppO. We couldn’t recommend AppO more highly. Pros Being able to model our full cost/benefit analysis alongside our ESG considerations. Also being able to model our entire corporate structure. Cons Visualisation could be mare graphically based but we were able to work with it. Finding AppO eliminated the issue entirely, presenting us with detailed comparisons of relative business value for each of the potential investments even though the differing markets required differing approaches to measuring value. Pros Comparing investments made in differing markets and under differing business models. Cons Currency conversion does not occur on the fly. Were we going to outsource, build from scratch, acquire pre-built and fit-out? When we laid out the basis of the decision we found we had over 100 selection criteria many of which were intangible. AppO made light work of the problem and we were even able to identify a series of fall-back strategies on project options. Pros The ability to develop multiple strategies and plans and understand the relative value of each plan to the business. You talk about having a plan B, we have plans C and D as well, each potentially triggered at by pre-specified project status conditions. Cons Pairwise comparison can be onerous for an executive. We set the upper level priorities at an executive level and our production managers and construction advisers to populate the rest.
