Author Publishing Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Otterfish has been a huge help growing my side business" January 19, 2022 5.0 Overall I'm very happy with using Otterfish. It's allowed me to actually run some ads to try and get some more sales to my site which was a bit of a block for me in the past as I'm not confident in using Facebook ads Manager. Each month I now run some ads, and using the tool I am consistently getting results that I'm happy with. Being able to run a Test first is a really cool idea, and I do this every time. I've made more book sales in the last few months from people I don't know then I've ever done before. Pros 1\. I really like the way each process makes sense for someone like me who doesn't really know what they're doing in marketing on social media. 2. I've been able to build ads that look professional and it took me about 5mins. That's awesome! 3. It's cool and fun to be able to run ads against each other to see which one does best. I have even been able to test different audiences which is an eye opener compared to Facebook 4. Everything is easy. This is a side business for me so it's good that everything is super easy and simple to do. Cons I'd like to be able to have some stock Images to play around with. I won't run single ads, boosted posts or try using Ads Manager ever again. Thanks Otterfish! Pros I'm not a great digital marketer. Otterfish made it super easy to create some nice ads and automatically creates a heap of slight variations. You can take all these automatically generated Ads and run them as a live campaign for 24 hours (or more) and Otterfish will tell you which one is best. Then you can add some mire budget and run the best ad again knowing you're saving money on bad ads! Cons It takes a little patience to get through the whole thing and set it up the first time. I am learning about who my audience really is and what content they engage with where sometimes I've made assumptions that aren't based on data. It's the very start of my journey but I can see the value and am excited to start seeing some more results. Pros It opened my eyes to ad tracking in a really positive way. I can see why it's important to know what's working while advertising. I also think the customer support is really unique - almost like having an in house marketer right there! Cons I do find sometimes the prompts aren't as straight forward as I think they could be. If things were simplified and more common language used, I think it would be more user friendly. I'm a small business with limited resources and skills in social advertising. Highly recommend Pros I've always struggled using Facebook ads Manager, it's confusing and complex. What impressed me so much with Ottterfish is how easy and simple the platform is to use, I don't have to use FB to create my ad campaigns anymore, it's all done in Otterfish and that is amazing. Cons Some of the templates didn't quite work for me like the images were a bit off centre, but I'm sure that is to be expected. Still plenty of options.
