Scalingo existe depuis 2015, a juste fait une petite levée de fonds récement, était autofinancé dès le départ, est rentable et continue d'embaucher. Pros Entreprise française sérieuse et pérenne, hébergée chez un prestataire fiable (Outscale = Dassault Systems). Nombreuses certifications (FR, EU, ISO), forte attention portée à la sécurité et la confidentialité. Très bonnes performances, interface utilisateur simple côté administration, gestion totalement possible en ligne de commande. Serveurs toujours disponibles. Offres flexibles permettant d'arbitrer entre prix et résilience. Support client de qualité, même sans forfait payant. Plateforme en constante évolution depuis notre arrivée en 2018. Sauvegardes automatiques fiables, excellente visibilité sur les métriques et logs. Les équipes techniques n'accèdent aux données qu'avec autorisation explicite, garantissant un vrai respect de la confidentialité. Cons Dans les aspects moins positifs, les priorités de l'entreprise envers la qualité, la fiabilité, la sécurité et la confidentialité font qu'on n'est pas sur une start-up qui lance des tonnes de fonctionnalités chaque trimestre. C'est relativement classique et standard, que ce soit pour les bases de données ou les applications, mais je pense que c'est très bien, car c'est avec ce genre d'approche qu'on bâtit un business durable, au delà des modes. Scalingo provides a stable, well-documented, and developer-friendly environment that makes deployments easy and predictable. While the interface could be more modern and feature-rich, the platform delivers on its core promise: reliable hosting with strong data sovereignty in France. I continue using it primarily because I need sovereign, France-based servers, and Scalingo fits that requirement perfectly. Pros Scalingo offers a solid, reliable platform with excellent documentation and a very smooth developer experience. The CLI is a real asset — fast, intuitive, and a major productivity booster. Pricing is also very reasonable compared to alternatives, especially given the sovereignty and hosting guarantees. Cons The web interface feels a bit austere and lacks some advanced features that competitors provide. A more modern UI and richer dashboards or automations would significantly enhance the overall experience. Though, I felt sometimes I didn't have enough visibility or control over what the server was doing, and some disturbances are frequently happening. Pros Nice PaaS solution with user friendly interfaces. Easy to setup via a github repository, with automatic deployment using CI/CD tools. Good choice of tools like PostGreSQL, OpenSearch, Redis, etc. HDS certification. Cons A few incidents like a 1h downtime of the production server when switching from a 1 Go RAM database to 2 Go one, which was supposed to be zero-downtime operation. No official support for the Mercure protocol which allow realtime communication between client and servers. Pricing is high. Pros Client Scalingo depuis 3 ans, je suis totalement satisfait de leurs services. Leur plateforme paas est vraiment simple à prendre en main et n'a pas à rougir de la concurrence (j'ai été utilisateur Heroku pendant des années auparavant et Scalingo est aussi cool). Mais ce que je préfère chez Scalingo c'est la réactivité du support, j'ai eu à contacter le support environ 4 fois au cours des 2 dernières années et à chaque fois un technicien m'a répondu en moins d'une heure et en français ! C'est un gros plus, merci à eux ! Cons Le système de one-off container qui ne permet pas de réellement accéder à une instance mais à une copie. We've had some SSL issues, which are now resolved. But for those we had to reach out. Probably solved now, so no big deal. Cons La partie backup de la base de données est parfois un peu fastidieuse. Historiquement notre entreprise utilisait Heroku, la transition vers Scalingo at été transparente et la qualité du service nous a motivé à utiliser Scalingo choix par défaut pour tous nos besoin ! Pros Ça marche super bien et c'est français ;-) Le support est très réactif et les services sont stables.
